I'm very happy with Jeff's expertise and professionalism. The administrative assistant, Amanda, was easy to work with too.

Made an online request and recieved an immediate after hours callback to discuss the nature of our need. It was not an emergency so we were advised to wait until the next day to recieve a call from the office and avoid the emergency visit fees. As they said the next Morning we recieved a call from thier office, scheduled the visit from the tech and it was just an easy phone call. The day of the appointment I recieved a call from the tech stating he was on his way which happend during the time block they said. The tech llistened to the concerns I had, investigated the unit and reviewed with me some basic service issues that may help solve the problem. The profesionalism and service of the tech were excellent and the service call charge was reasonable. The next day we recieved a quote for a replacement unit with the cost of the service already performed as a credit to the new unit that is good for 30 days. So far the service that was performed has corrected the issue and if it does recurr in the next 30 days I feel great that the amount paid will not be lost if a full replacement is actually needed. This was not our first positive experince with Evercool and I will continue to call and hire Evercool for our homes HVAC needs and just rest assured that we have a professional team on our side.

Great! Based on a recommendation from my neighbor and my review of several rating sites, I had Evercool(most likely your first contact will be with Jeff Snyder, owner, who knows everything there is to know about a/c. He did a thorough inspection of our 75-year old house, and his bid was very attractive. After waiting for the weather to get a bit cooler, he and his crew came and in one day installed the new a/c. At every step, all of the staff of Evercool were professional, responsive, and patient. Check them out.

They were very prompt, very helpful, and their price was cheaper than some.? I believe I would use them again.

I bought a self contained unit. I had renovations in that room, so I changed it out for a new unit. It was easy. They provided a contractor to do the renovations in the house. I felt very lucky and I was moving right along. It was all very last minute.

I was really happy with them. They make arrangements and they are on time.

There weren't any glitches or anything. Everything went as planned. I had already told people about them. I called them at the last minute. They came in that day. I don't know that I could give any suggestions for improvement.

Jeff Snyder was prompt, professional, friendly, and (most importantly) very honest.? He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem with my A/C unit.? I'm really pleased, and will *definitely* consider using Evercool's services again.? My wife will be very pleased that the A/C is fixed! I made the appointment just a couple days ago.? My appointment window was for 12pm to 5pm today.? Jeff called me about 12:30pm, about half-hour ahead of his projected arrival, to say he was on his way (exactly as I was told to expect when I made the appointment).? He arrived 1:05pm, greeted me very professionally, and proceeded to ask more about the nature of my A/C problem, and how well the unit was functioning before the problem.? He asked me to show him the HVAC unit, the breaker panel, and the compressor outside. Out of curiosity, as he started, I asked if could watch him troubleshoot the problem.? He said very enthusiastically (sincerely) that he didn't mind at all.? He explained a few things to me as he worked, and we also chatted briefly about misc current events in the news as he went about his work.? He was very friendly and professional.? After checking the breaker panel, he discovered the fuse for the compressor was tripped.? When he flipped it back on, the compressor still didn't run.? Then he went outside to the compressor, and proceeded to remove some exterior panels.? Sure enough, he noticed the rusty capacitor.? He used a voltage meter, or similar tool, and determined it was shorted out.? Fortunately, he already had the correct replacement part in his van.? He hooked that up, and bingo:? compressor was running, and cool A/C air was blowing within 30 minutes of his arrival. He noted that the compressor is VERY old (manufactured in 1995...it's been serviced a few times over the years), and he also mentioned that it uses a type of refrigerant that can no longer be refilled in the U.S. (meaning, once it gets too low, the unit itself will have to be replaced...it can't just be recharged with more refrigerant).? He could have easily goaded me into thinking my problem was a busted compressor unit, and that the entire thing needed to be replaced---however, he didn't do that.? Jeff was very honest and straightforward.? Also, there was no "upsell" antics, or anything like that.? The $214 includes both the labor and the part.? This was a really good deal.? There's been some pretty warm weather over the past week ... upper 80s, low 90s ... so the upper floors of our house weren't pleasant to hang around over the past few days, even with their windows open.? I appreciate Evercool's service, and Jeff's skill and honesty.? I hope his business continues to thrive and grow.

Jeff offered a range of priced options, easily understood and completely transparent. Also, discussed pros, cons, and costs of the various levels of technical complexity required for high efficiency HVAC. Ordered equipment for delivery direct from manufacturer to our house. Arranged for installation on a day of our convenience (the day after Thanksgiving!). Completed work as planned -- one day removal and installation. Team was prompt, diligent, and professional throughout the full day's work. Overall, I would highly recommend Evercool, for their expertise and clean installation, as well as their value. Jeff's bottom line quote was 20% to 40% less than the next closest quote I received for a similarly sized system. <br />

UPDATE about  inspection: Lori mislead me twice about the requirement for Fairfax County to inspect installation of a replacement furnace and A/C. I got the inspection only because I was tenacious with Evercool about it. The installation of both the furnace and A/C failed the County inspection. Evercool is returning to make several repairs.  Evercool was one of five companies that I interviewed to perform the service. Jeff listened to my concerns and made a recommendation that took my concerns into account. Jeff explained why a single stage furnace would be appropriate for my particular situation and his recommendation cost less money than his competitors. The measurements for the duct work were made incorrectly two times. Once at the time of initial consultation and again onsite during installation. This caused me to have to take additional time off work. Thus far, the furnace is working fine although my heating bill is larger than it was last year at this time and it's been warmer this year. The team said that hey would return in the warm weather to fully check the air conditioning unit. That visit will be at no extra charge. The crew took care to clean up after themselves and left my home in good shape.

First time to use Ever Cool - They did a detail check on the inside and outside unit.  Took the outside unit apart - cleaned and checked the wiring.  This was never done by any other AC companies that we have used.  Really impressed by their service. <br />

On Feb 16th my husband was discharged from the hospital after being treated for respiratory failure.  On our way home that evening, it started to snow.  The next morning we woke up and found our driveway and streets covered with snow and shortly thereafter discovered our furnace was not working.  I tried to reset the furnace, but to no immediate avail.  Then we started to panic since my husband is on oxygen 24/7 and no heat would require us to move to a hotel (tanks and all).  I called the company that normally did our furnace work, but they were closed due to the weather.  I tried a couple other companies, but got no answers.  When I called Evercool, I explained our problem and Jeff said he would be out to our house shortly.  He was there within the hour.  As luck would have it, about five minutes before he got here the heat kicked on and the furnace has been working ever since.  When Jeff got here he checked out the furnace and performed maintenance on it.  He told us what he thought had caused the problem and even showed me how to locate and interpret the error codes on the furnace so next time we will be able to give him that information before he arrives. We found Jeff to be very professional, personable, and knowledgeable and we so appreciated that he was willing to come out in weather that caused the other companies to shut their doors.  Evercool will be our go-to company for all our future heating and cooling needs! <br />

We feel the cost is reasonable.  They don't try to upsell us. They are honest.

Evercool work crew showed up on time.  Laid out floor covering so they would not track dirt in and out of home.  Removed old air handler and heat pump.  Old heat pump was elevated on two pieces of wood, they installed a new heat pump pad support.  Installed new equipment with now problems.  The team cleaned up after themselves and were professional during the entire installation and cleanup. <br /> I had been dealing with United Air Temps for over 10 years.  I initially asked them to quote me on a new system.  They quoted me a higher price for a lower end system (a much lower model).  I would think having been a yearly maintenance customer for over ten years, I would not have to haggle with them over a price but I was greatly disappointed that they would on first offer, quote me higher for a low end model.  <br /> I chose Evercool based on their Angie's List rating (and talking to others who have worked with them) and the fact that they quoted me less for a superior model air handler and heat pump.  Jeff took the time to explain the differences in model and I spent the next few weeks getting additional quotes and educating myself on models and specs.  Evercool won me over in the end and I am greatly pleased with the result. <br />

Fantastic. Jeff, the owner, arrived promptly for the estimate. He suggested a good solution to a problem with the condensate drain. He even offered to replace a bad circuit board in the old furnace so we'd have heat until his team could come out and put in the new furnace--which he did the following Saturday morning, at no additional cost. His team arrived promptly a few days later to replace the furnace, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. <br />

They provide excellent service. I have used them for a few years and they are great.

Jeff provided an estimate of the various options and prices for furnace and A/C combos. He was responsive and timely, working with us to install the units at our convenience and explaining the benefits/drawbacks of installing a humidifying unit. Three man work group was professional, hard working and efficient. The job was completed in one morning/afternoon. They installed a new PVC drain for the A/C unit that was much better than what I had attached to my old unit. They were neat and clean. They knew what they were doing with a work leader (Tom) with 10 years experience. Overall, a complete lack of any drama or problems in the installation. I used them based upon their reputation with a close friend and experience of their work on our church A/C unit a couple of years ago. I believe the company is honest and fair and I would highly recommend them. I intend to use them in the future for routine maintenance as needed. <br />
