From the beginning, the platform was presented as a strong, competitive solution. In reality, it falls well short of what’s needed to run a service business. The system lacks essential features, stability, and usability found in more established FSM platforms, making even basic workflows difficult to manage. To compensate, you’re forced to rely on third-party software, which quickly adds cost and complexity—ultimately bringing your total expense close to that of a fully developed FSM without delivering the same functionality. Support was another major challenge. Technical assistance was consistently difficult to access, with response times often taking days or longer. This made it hard to resolve issues, implement the system properly, or operate with confidence. Despite providing detailed and constructive feedback both privately and within the user community, there was little meaningful engagement. After sharing honest feedback with other users, my post was removed and I was banned from the Sera members Facebook group without explanation—concerning for a company that promotes collaboration and openness. There was also a lack of transparency around billing and membership status. Even after being told I was no longer considered an active member for community access, subscription charges continued. This disconnect between communication, access, and billing reflects broader process issues. At that point, the system had proven too difficult to use and unreliable to justify further investment, and we ultimately moved on. My advice to other business owners is to proceed with caution. Even for small businesses, the platform does not work as advertised. Carefully evaluate alternatives, account for the added cost of third-party tools, and fully understand contractual commitments before signing.

Don’t make the same mistake I did. They will lie to you and tell you whatever they need to to trap you in a contract. Their platform is subpar to Service Titan, and house call Pro. There are always unavailable for tech-support. It often takes a week to get a hold of anybody. I unfortunately got suckered into a contract with them and I have not used their product once because of how difficult it is navigating.

WARNING avoid Sera Systems at all costs. They do not care about their customers. They will make you sign a contract and not fulfill their end of the bargain. Im using Service titan now and couldn’t be happier. Dont make the same mistake i did. They dont deserve your business they only want your money. Such a Scam

This company completely took advantage of my business. We wanted to demo their software to evaluate it before making a full commitment. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to conduct the necessary research on their product. After they paused our account, they unexpectedly charged our company card for several thousand dollars and then claimed that, since we hadn’t communicated, we were now locked into a contract until November 2026. I’m not sure how Billy sleeps at night. IF THIS IS HOW YOU MADE YOUR MILLIONS, SHAME ON YOU!!!

Scammy company. You sign a contract and they never fulfill their end of the contract. Customer service drops the ball. Apparent they are in it for the money not to actually help your business. Stay far away. 👎🏻 …

I started my business using Sera, I can't imagine trying to run a home services business without this amazing tool. The biggest testament to how well this works is that recently I had some issues with my phone, which happens but with the systems that exist, I haven't seen a dip in the number of booked appointments. Which is amazing. Could not recommend this system enough if you want to make your business more profitable look no further.

I have been in the service industry for 24 years. In that time, I have used a lot of different service industry software, but none of them are like Sera. I have been using Sera Software for three years. It is the best in the industry. Sera thinks, predicts, and shifts. It thinks about availability, time allocation for a job, correct technician for job, and best efficiency. Sera predicts what next moves are in an ever-changing service schedule. Sera shifts to accommodate the ever-changing schedule. This allows for more time to be spent on other responsibilities of dispatching.

We had a very disappointing experience with Sera Tech. We entered into a contract on August 19, 2025, while we were in the process of pursuing a plumbing license. During the sales process, we were told the software could also be used for our existing crawl space business. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. The system required too many workarounds and was not practical for our actual operations. We never ended up obtaining our plumbing license, and despite attempting to cancel early on, we were told we could not exit the agreement. Since then, we’ve been paying $299/month for Sera, plus about $80/month for their payment processor (Stax), along with a $2,000 onboarding fee — all for a product we have not been able to use. We recently reached out again to request cancellation without penalty given the circumstances, but our request was denied. Our experience has been frustrating and costly, and we feel the product was not a good fit for our business despite what was communicated during the sales process. We would encourage others to carefully evaluate whether the software truly fits their specific business needs before committing to a contract.
