Action Air is a smaller company in Sisters, OR, Chris Gulick has years of experience and expertise in the HVAC business, his prices are amazingly reasonable, and he and his son do all their own work. Install of our ductless minisplit heat pump went smoothly. What more could you want? Five stars!

We upgraded an aging heating system to a heat pump and could not have been more impressed with Action Air throughout the whole process. From our initial contact with Chris, the owner of Action Air, he impressed us with his expertise and clear recommendations based on our needs. Chris suggested a way to route our refrigerant lines that was practical and unobtrusive that other companies failed to see. Where other companies will send you sales people who feel like they are reciting the manufacturer's marketing material and trying to push you to the most expensive packages, Chris knows his products inside and out, can answer any and all questions about installation details and cuts to the chase on what you need and offers an unbeatable price. Action Air was able to get our install scheduled very soon after our initial consultation. The quality of workmanship from the Action Air crew was evident as the installation wrapped up. The lines that ran to the compressor were routed with precision, the crew cleaned up everything nicely and provided us with lots of great information on how to best maximize our system. Having had a recent HVAC installation elsewhere, I can definitely say the level of service at Action Air is top-notch. Give them a call, you will be impressed.

Our relationship began with a replacement HVAC system which turned out to be significantly less expensive than competitors. It has since proven itself at least as efficient as competitors' equipment with far more dependable service. The owner, Chris Gullick, is the key: his knowledge of the industry and its equipment makes clear why Action Air is a cut above. Entering into the purchase seven years ago, I was skeptical because the relatively low price and efficient performance specs were markedly superior, and the equipment itself was assessed as top-shelf yet dependent on effective installation. Action Air's efforts ensured that precise, durable installation was exactly what was provided and has ensured the system provides great performance. Chris (the owner) returned my call quickly, He was honest, professional, kind, & considerate. Problem was solved & new part installed within a few days (had to order the part). He made sure it was repaired as quickly as possible, as it is winter in Sisters and temps are low at night! I am so thankful & highly recommend his service!

We have used Chris Gulick and Action Air to install HVAC systems in four homes we have owned (three of those homes in the Portland area). Chris’s prices always beat any bid we received, and we have always been extremely happy with the quality of his work and the system he installed. Chris at Action Air is second to none. We have had multiple instances of needing same day service and they have always showed up with such kindness and compassion. One such instance included a massive leak with our hot water heater. My daughter had just come home from the pediatric hospital with me and all we wanted to do was take a shower. We called him at 6:30 pm as soon as we noticed the leak and he came right over, pulled out the old unit and put in two new units since I had the space for two and we needed a larger tank. He stayed until past midnight to make sure everything was hooked up and that we had running hot water. I hope he realizes that after two weeks in the hospital that shower felt the best it has ever felt and we never would have had hot water without him and his kindness and willingness to go the extra mile and even on a Friday night!!! He also came over the same day when our air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the summer and serviced it and got it up and running the same day. We realize Action Air is the only heating and air conditioning company that we will use above anyone else and with the extra benefit of their prices beating everyone in town! Action Air we thank you!!!

We own a home at Black Butte and we’re very busy preparing the house for our summer renters. Just a day before leaving the house we realized the AC didn’t seem to be cooling properly. Left a panicky message VM for Action Air in the late morning and the same afternoon got a call from owner, Chris who said, “I will be there in 45 minutes! (Who does that??!” ) Chris arrived on time, didn’t try to sell us a new unit (our unit is 16 years or so) so he certainly could have. He quickly figured out the issue, corrected it efficiently explaining everything each step of the way. Chris/Action Air in Sisters is the real deal. He knows HVAC backwards n forwards so whether it’s the wrong filter you’re using or you need a new heat pump he will always be our first call. He’s amiable, no pretenses, reasonably priced, gets the job done right the first time and enjoys people. We will continue to use Chris @ Action Air for all of our HVAC needs! Linnea and Gene Epstein
