Super impressed with this company. We had another company out to repair our water boiler & after 8hrs they still couldn't get it up & running. I called The Heating Specialists for a 2nd opinion and in an hour he had our system up & running. They have to order 1 part but he was able to leave our system safely running. I feel I got an honest opinion from a honest repair man. The other company sent me an estimate for nearly $2k for repairs and I just paid $150 to get it running and I'm Sure it will be about an hour to get the new relay installed.

Odd billing practices. We asked them to email invoice, but they only did that with work order (which showed zero balance so we figured no charge since they only changed some batteries on a thermostat). They then sent invoices to old address that we specifically requested not be used. Then called four days before Christmas demanding payment. That's the first we heard that we owed them any money. We paid just to be done with them. A good business would just write that off (feel free to refund us). We won't use them again. I don't recommend using them, which is too bad because our first call with the owner was really helpful and he seems like a good guy.

We recently used The Heating Specialist to remove our old oil fired boiler and install natural gas combination tankless water heater and radiant floor heater. They prepared a detailed estimate from the initial site visit that demonstrated their knowledge of radiant floor systems and happily discussed budget and value options. They provided clear communication and were very respectful and courteous while they performed their work. The installation went very smoothly and I have been very happy with the final product. Would highly recommend them for anyone upgrading their radiant floor heating source.

Poor experience removing and replacing an Lennox HVAC unit in the Gresham Oregon area at my parents home. Did not come back to do the correction items as promised. Condensing pad was placed on top of old pad and its out of level. It will move now and the refrigerant lines are going to leak. Condensing unit now blocks electrical outlet. Did not install an air filter bracket and then lied about it. It would have been simple to install a one or two inch filter bracket at the unit when the old one was torn out like everyone else does. It's about a $20 sheet metal part. Now we have to use a ladder to reach to the old sheet metal above blindly, and the filter isn't held fast. Cut my hand on the sharp metal reaching in. Did not run a new condensate drain line as promised. Did not replace condensate pump as promised. Did not verify condensate termination as promised. Quoted an enegy efficient 19 SEER condensing unit but put in lower one, and refused to make corrections, or give a discount. It was a very rushed job by uncaring people. In Summary shoddy/poor workmanship, unkept promises, lies, and I get a sickening feeling every time I think about it, and think about arguing with Daniel who had made excuses and lied, then promised to return to make corrections, but never did. Do not trust this company, especially Daniel. Kept asking for the Owner but every time we said we'd get a call back but it was never from him.

We have lived in our home for 8 years and it was purchased with new forced air heat & AC. We have had some issues and the Heating Specialist team was courteous and professional. They came in a timely manner, fixed the issue and recommended minor fixes to our system. Never tried to up sell on things we didn't need (I vetted through others) and were reasonable and competitive on price. We liked them so much we had them put in an air scrubber and ozone on our furnace. Great product. We had a huge remodel/addition project on our house and they were the sub our contractor used. It was meant to be. Great service, nice crew and the owners Dave and Daniel showed true interest in our satisfaction. I can't stop recommending them to people!!

I've used the team at The Heating Specialist twice now. First was the replace my furnace in an emergency during the coldest week of the year, and recently to add A/C. The team was excellent both times. Unlike some contracting services, they checked in with me multiple times during the day to make sure lines were ran in locations which fit our needs given the layout of the house. They're work is top notch and the people are great. Highly recommend!

$331.56 to replace the igniter in my furnace (took less than an hour). Did not fix the problem with the flame occasionally not travelling past the first igniter. They took 10% when I complained, so only $299 for that job.

The radiator system was not tested before they left the job. Part of the system was not working but expected me to address the problem by bleeding the radiator valves. The system required further repairs which were completed quickly and at a cost close to the repair estimate. The company has some great people: however, and would still recommend them for your radiant heat system.

We have used The Heating Specialist several times to do work on our HVAC and A/C at our office building and I have been very happy with their service. I appreciate how quickly they are always able to fit us into their schedule. They give us their honest opinion and do not recommend we do more work than necessary. Our old A/C unit went out on us this summer and they quickly got it replaced. They followed up to make sure it was working properly as well.

Office staff was great, technician was great, they got my AC back up and running same-day in 100 degree weather. Bonus: they had a (non-standard-sized) filter on hand for my air handler.

We had the misfortune of having our compressor die on us. We got a few companies in to give us bids. The guys at The Heating Specialists gave us a very reasonable quote, but more importantly, they managed to squeeze us in today, after giving us the quote the Thursday before. The work was done well, and efficiently, and now we are comfortable again, just in time for the upcoming heatwave. The switched out our A/C and furnace, as they were both around 18 plus years old, and were the original equipment when the home was built. I would certainly recommend these guys. Our installers were Chris and Jimmy, and they were great!

I've worked for this company not to long ago for some time and now that I am out doing my own thing I still would like to say that the Heating specialist is full of dedicated, skilled, hardworking, and motivated installers and the office staff and management are miles above most. David, Daniel, and Tom have thrived through the ups and downs but still come to work every day mostly with a smile on their face because they know they have accomplished something most people fail at. I would recommend their service and installation to anyone over any other company out there!

After an initial "heated" exchange (sorry I had to), I was able to discuss a concern we had with the owner of the business directly. His response was incredibly gracious and demonstrated a remarkable willingness to work with his customers. I definitely have renewed confidence in small business owners, particularly given that this one went out of his way to do the right thing for someone who had an issue. While we do not have any ongoing concerns with our furnace, I am extremely appreciative of the experience with The Heating Specialist and will contact them for any future needs.

Jennifer got me set up the next working day with Ben, who showed up right on time and fixed my wrongly wired control card on my furnace. He took a quick peek at the heat pump too and did some tweaking to get it perfect. What a relief to finally have it running the way it should.

Came to my house unannounced and rang my doorbell . I was unaware of the appt and did not state which company was from- told him I already had someone come and diagnose the problem. Told him to leave and is still trying to charge me a fee. Don't trust this business. Will still try to charge you regardless of situation. Shady business practice and horrible service when trying to tell them my story. DO NOT USE. Overpriced and unhelpful.

Of course the central Air Con stopped working during this smoky heat wave and we were worried. A tech named Sam came out within a day Sam took the time to explain the problem and easily fixed the Air Con within an hour. Overall we felt comfortable with the entire experience with Sam as well as the staff at The Heating Specialist. We will definitely call on the Heating Specialists next time we have a Heating or air con problem.

Justin came out on 7/25 to look at my AC to see if it could be repaired. A previous contractor had been out & charged $99 just to tell me it needed replaced, so I was very impressed that he didn't charge a fee. He, like the other contractor, determined the AC & furnace needed to be replaced due to being decades old & due to an inability to obtain parts. He was prompt, professional and explained what was needed in layman terms. He provided a verbal quote for Lennox equipment and promptly e-mailed a detailed written quote. He also provided pamphlets on the equipment. There are two reasons I didn't choose him as an installer. I had researched AC and most brands seem comparable as far as reviews on functionality, but the Lennox brand is at the top end as far as pricing. Second, his company offered the shortest labor warranty. That being said, if price & length of warranty are of little concern, I would recommend his company due to his professionalism and due to the fact that he didn't charge an excessive fee just to determine whether or not the AC could be repaired.

The Heating Specialists were so courteous and professional on the phone. They were able to get us in same day and even came at the early end of our time window. Otto was able to diagnose and fix our A/C unit in under an hour and even cleaned it up and helped us figure out how to maintain both of our units throughout the year. We'll definitely use them again. Just in time for this next heat wave!

Jennifer quickly responded with an estimate and Sam came a few days later and did a great job. He explained what he found (old furnace but decent shape), about what replacement costs will be, showed me how to remove and clean the filters, and was very professional and pleasant. Found this company on Yelp, and happy to add to their positive reviews!

Steve (our service tech) was great. So knowledgeable about maintenance. Like having your dad who knows how to fix things come over. Service was prompt - I was able to get a same morning appointment! Highly recommend.

I hadn't had my furnace maintained in years (bad, I know!)... I went onto Yelp and The Heating Specialist reviews were off the charts. I made an appointment and was scheduled within a few days. Steve called ahead of time to let me know his ETA, which was right on schedule. Upon his arrival it was a smooth process. Furnace is all clean and Steve is a great guy! Will definitely use them again in the future.

This is the second year I had them come and do maintenance on my furnace and AC. Always friendly and hardworking. Definitely giving me my monies worth. Decided to go with their regularly scheduled maintenance plan. Very satisfied with their service.

I have dealt with a lot of contractors in my time and you can generally classify them in 3 categories - Terrible - would not want to deal with them again Average - nickel and dime you for everything, are not courteous, and don't necessarily delight you with customer service Amazing - give you a good price, show up on time, respond promptly to your emails/phone calls, and don't track dirt around hour house, and clean up thoroughly before they leave each day The Heating specialist fits in the Amazing category. We had a great experience working with them. We got a top of the line heat pump installed along with a high efficiency gas furnace. The sales rep worked well with us in responding promptly to all of my questions over email and gave me a very fair price. Best of all, they were able to accomodate our schedule and get the ball rolling on the project very quicky. The entire install took about a day and ~4 hours the next day. The installer worked very long hours and just got the job done. Basically everything you would want from people who you let into your house. Great business and great people. Will love to do business with them again.

These guys were awesome. Installed an AC unit in my house in the middle of last summer's heat wave and made time to do it when they had major customers (big business) clamoring for their attention. They even quoted electrical and said I could use my own electrician if I wanted and they worked nicely with him. Their front office is helpful and responds quickly to email and calls. In winter they service my old heater so I can keep it going for a few more years until I need a new one. Thank you!!
