We recently moved to this area. Our A/C unit stopped working and we didn't know who to call. We had just recently met a neighbor so we inquired of them and they recommended ChillTex. I checked them online and they seemed to have a solid reputation. I called at the end of the day and left a message. To my pleasant surprise, I was promptly called back even though it was closing time. ChillTex was able to schedule me for the following morning. The technician showed up in the time window they had given me. So far so good. My unit is guessing to be nearly 30 years old. I was preparing myself for the worst. The technician Jack was very friendly and knowledgeable. He got right to work and discovered the problem and replaced the failing part and I am back up and running. He was patient and answered all my questions and helped me learn a few things. I was so impressed that he was able to fix the unit. I was even more impressed that he did not try and convince me that my unit was so old that maybe I would need a new one. I was fully expecting that whoever showed up form whatever company, the first thing he would say, would be that my unit was so old I would need to replace it. Instead of that kind of negativity, Jack went straight to his troubleshooting skills and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. And finally, these things are never cheap. I felt the cost of the visit and repair was very fair and I was so glad to not get gaffed because of my situation. I would highly recommend ChillTex to anyone needing service repair and or replacement systems if needed. ChillTex will definitely be my go to the next time I need someone's expertise with the services they provide. I don't often do reviews but I was impressed by Jack and ChillTex enough that I would like to see them get the recognition for a job well-done for a fair price.

Great service! My 6-month checkup turned out to be a full service call. They didn’t act upset that what should have been 30 minutes turned into a 3 hour job, and they stayed until it was right. Again, great service!

Wow ! Visiting Minster Ohio during fourth of July and A/C goes out I called 5 companies and no service on fourth of july and Thank Goodness my sister knew about Chilltex ! Chilltex was very professional and friendly and worked very hard for us they did a very good job. Very happy with the work they did would highly recommend them for any hvac work you need done lane the installer was very patient and did his best. And every one I talked to was very kind and knowledgeable. I wish them continued success.

Did an excellent job of diagnosis and informing us of what the problem was. Thankfully the part was under warranty, unfortunately it went out later that day and I called the next morning and they said the part would be in that day, Logan came out the following morning installed it and had our ac working perfectly. Logan is very nice and knowledgeable, I had some questions for him about my system and he kindly answered all of them. I highly recommend them.

Would not recommend!! We have done service with them for multiple years. Recently we had a bill that we had questions about and they refused to provide a detailed invoice. If you like paying bills blindly without any explanation this is the place for you.

Matt and his crew did a quality job at a reasonable price. They completed a new heat pump installation when the former contractor left mid way through the project.They were great to work with. Communicated well. Friendly. Trustworthy. Knowledgeable. Started and completed the job as scheduled. Highly recommend.

Was scheduled for preventative maintenance the next day and the Service Technician was at my premises 30 minutes early. He was very informative with suggestions but did not use pressure sates tactics. I joined the service club which included this maintenance appointment. Very pleased with ChillTex.

I called these guys for a tune up last fall. They was out really quick. Called for my spring a/c tune up. Was out very quick. Very professional, quality service and attention to every detail. Want a great hvac company that won't break the bank? Look no farther. We use them in our church as well. Give them a call you. Won't be disappointed

James was very professional. The parts are expensive from them but the labor is fair and the service is fantastic. I actually learned alot about my system while they were here. They had to change my hot surface ignitor. When i did it myself last time, the part was $40 but they charged $180 for that part. That also does come with a 1 year warranty on the part itself though which is probably worth it!

1/31/2023 UPDATE - After a bad experience with Chilltex billing I posted about they have corrected the cituation changing the bill to a fair price. I am pleased with their response to the BBB to better serve the customer and update customers up front to their pricing. There was never a problem with the technician, he is always outstanding! ORIGINAL POST - $591.00 to put in a thermostat with 1 hours work and we had other heating sources, it WAS NOT an emergency. We called to talk to management but they wouldn't return the call & instead sent the repair person back out to our home today to let us know that with L4 repair (whatever that means) that no matter if they worked 10 hours or 1 hour it was $491.00 for the service and that this money helped cover the cost of there building and vehicles. The additional $100 was for a service fee. No listing of the cost of the thermostat on the invoice which is $79 at Lowes. Our other thermostat the NEST was not broke, I decided to replace it because of having issues with WIFI. I had bought a thermostat at Lowes and when it didn't work right off after installing we called ChillTex because they had put in a new board & motor in our furnace for $1600 & we didn't want to mess anything up. Filing a complaint with the BBB on this one. Ridiculous.

We had someone come out Friday for ac not working. They added 7lbs freon said it might have a small leak call office next week to schedule leak test if needed. Less then 10 hours ac is not working. Called them told them the problem said they would have charge us a second time for not doing there job. It's a big leak found right away ourselves. Had to call another ac repair that treats there customers right. Very very disappointed. What happen to companies treating customers right? Would highly not recommend

I called Chilltex when my geothermal was slow to keep up to hot weather, while the electric co-op was cycling the system off during a peak load. The technician showed up at the stated time, found the problem and repaired it, also performed preventative maintenance. He also cleaned up after himself and the geothermal is working like new. I will use them again.

Would recommend to anyone. They communicate well, show up the time frames they tell you. Hard to find good, dependable service providers anymore. We will be a lifetime customer.

I have used ChillTex for all of my HVAC needs for years. The ChillTex team has solved hard to cool areas of my second floor with innovate solutions such as a duct fan and a ductless mini split system. The employees are always polite, professional, and efficient and they always clean up after the service or installation is complete.
