So last Sunday in the middle of the storm Five Star Home Services came out and repaired our furnace and saved the day. Matt the repair technician diagnosed the problem didn’t have a part to repair with him. He drove in that mess to his office and picked up the part then came back and made sure we were warm. The service from them over the past 10 years has always been top notch. I am replacing our furnace with them and they applied my repair cost as a credit which is an added bonus. Today their team showed as promised and began replacing the furnace an A/C. Scott and Connor were amazing! They were done in half the time it took my neighbors and the install look perfect. It’s sad to say I feel their high quality service isn’t the norm. I would highly recommend their team for a repair or replacement of your A/C or Furnace.

We were referred to Five Star Home Services through the Lowe's Project Referral Service, and honestly I could not be happier. While they were not able to come out the absolute moment we needed them (our furnace went out on a Saturday in the middle of January, when I'm sure a lot of homes needed assistance), they were very quick to communicate and reschedule for first thing in the morning on Sunday. Naturally, we ended up needing a whole new system, but Five Star was incredible and able to update the entire system, furnace and AC, the very next morning and for a reasonable price. Noah came out and did our diagnostic, and he was super friendly and knowledgeable. I never once felt like my time was being wasted or that I was being taken for a ride. Zane and Mike (maybe Matt, I'm sorry I don't quite remember) were both awesome! They showed up exactly when they were supposed to, there's a tracking system so I was ready for their arrival. They worked all day and everything was awesome, they wore booties and put down a drop cloth, even swept up when they were done, extremely respectful of my home. Even their staff on the phone were incredibly great to work with! Five Star truly deserves all 5 stars, plus. Customer service is a dying art, but they keep it alive. Thanks so much for everything!

When our furnace went out during one of the coldest weeks of the year, I had four kids in the house and real concern about how we were going to get through the weekend. Five Star Home Services stepped in immediately. By Saturday morning — in the cold and snow — their team was at our home replacing the furnace. What stood out most wasn’t just the speed or professionalism (which were excellent), but the way they treated my family. They were kind, calm, played with my kids, and treated our home with real care. The cleanup was spotless, and the stress we were carrying disappeared. In a moment when it really mattered, they showed up. That’s the kind of company you want to call — and recommend.

Hi. My name is Roger, and I won Five Stars Home Services "Scariest Furnace Contest" and had my new, totally free furnace installed last week and I couldn't be happier! I'm a 74-year-old retiree and having my 45-year-old furnace replaced with a new energy efficient model is a blessing and all the folks at Five Stars were great. They even through in a wi-fi thermostat with a room monitor, which I really love. After I was told I had won their contest, a Five Stars rep came over and surveyed the monster in the basement and the rest of the house and set about determining the correct sized unit, which is very important. Then they scheduled the install for the next business day. The installers texted when they were on the way and arrived on-time at 9am and promptly got to tearing out the old furnace and installing the new one, and they had it up and running by 6pm. They were very courteous and did a great job at the install and clean-up. I retired from Port Columbus where I coordinated construction projects, so I know a good job when I see one. I've added a picture of the Honeywell T10 Pro Wi-fi thermostat and room sensor that was installed as part of the project. Having Wi-fi access is great and the room sensor acts as a portable thermostat that can be located in any room.

When my water heater unexpectedly broke down. I did a quick search for plumbing companies and Five Star had a great rating so I requested a quote. The installer Tom was very nice and they got my new unit up and running in no time. Very impressed with this company and their quality of work. Would use them again in the future.

Richard Rodgers was prompt, friendly and professional. We really appreciate his wonderful service. I wish everyone had his work ethic and wonderful attitude. We enjoyed his service and having him in our home. Thank you Five Star Home Services for hiring such great employees. Plus the water heater works great and he gave us advice on correcting the vent and tips on how to extend the life of our water heater. Why can we only give five stars, when Richard clearly deserves 10 stars!! 5 star will be our go to from now on (as long as you send Richard).

I would not recommend Five Star Home Services. From the start, their communication was unclear about what the job actually included, and we ended up with several unexpected issues. After they finished, our house was left a mess, and the quality of work was disappointing. After promising to fix and issue with a pipe they created, two employees stopped by for ten minutes and told me “it is what it is.” We ended up paying a drywall company $500 to work around their mistake. Very frustrating experience overall — definitely not the level of service we expected.

Fantastic experience with Five Star Home Services. From the first call, everything was smooth and professional. They answered the phone right away, scheduled us quickly, and had a technician out the same day. What really stood out was the communication. They confirmed the appointment, sent arrival updates, and even texted a photo of the technician ahead of time so we knew exactly who was coming. Small details like that go a long way. The tech was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Pricing was fair and transparent, and the whole process was easy from start to finish.

***Updated Review 3/6/2026*** Today Five Star came and replaced our furnace. The techs were prompt, completed the installation, ran numerous checks to ensure the unit was operating properly, explained thoroughly everything they were doing and cleaned up after themselves. The also took away the old unit at no extra cost. Five Star and their employees are exceptional to deal with! I don't regret calling them at all. Definitely a very professional company and employees. Thank you Five Star! Five Star was excellent to deal with. Brandon was a pleasure and very knowledgeable! Unfortunately we have to replace our furnace, but we're having them do that work as well. They'll be installing next day and will update my review; however, I have nothing but a positive experience with Five Star and Brandon so far.

From start to finish, the experience was great! They were able to lay out multiple options for repair and replacement as well as took the time to walk me through each step and answer my questions along the way. Took care to cover our personal items while working and ensure a clean working environment. They were able to come out the very same day to assess our furnace and a plumbing issue and return to repair the following morning. Highly recommend!

I had an emergency gas leak that required a gas line repair, and it was honestly one of the scariest and most nerve-wracking situations I’ve dealt with especially since it happened in the middle of freezing temperatures in January here in Ohio. We were without gas, heat, and warm water for the entire day, which made an already stressful situation even more frustrating and time-consuming. From the moment I called Five Star Home Services, I was met with urgency and care. The employee I spoke with over the phone immediately understood the seriousness of the situation and pushed me to the front of the line to ensure a technician arrived as quickly as possible. That alone brought a huge sense of relief during a very overwhelming moment. Austin arrived and was absolutely exceptional. He calmly assessed the situation, clearly explained my options, and worked diligently throughout the entire day to try to remedy the issue. When he realized the repair couldn’t be fully completed on his own, he didn’t hesitate to call for backup so additional help arrived to assist, and together they fully resolved the problem. As a single woman dealing with a major home repair, I was admittedly concerned about the possibility of being taken advantage of. That was absolutely not the case here. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, sincere, and genuinely focused on finding the best and most appropriate solution and not the most expensive one. Austin remained professional, patient, and empathetic throughout the entire process, which made a stressful situation far more manageable. During this colder than usual winter of 2026, our 25 year old furnace died. I found five star online and filled a form to have someone come out to take a look. Eddie Johnson a technician arrives early the next morning and thoroughly checked out the furnace. He suggested a replacement (no surprise) reviewed all pricing and gave me a great quote on replacement. He said they couldn’t get to it until the next day, so he would bring me space heaters as the furnace could not be repaired. But an hour later he called and said a crew could install today. Quite honestly i was shocked! But they came a couple hours later and completed the work at the quoted price. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. And Eddie is the best.

David, Anthony, and Richard replaced my furnace, AC, and water heater today. They were efficient, answered all my questions, and cleaned up. I highly recommend these guys!!

I called Five Star Home Services when my furnace quit working. Matt responded immediately even though it was after normal business hours. Matt promptly and professionally diagnosed the issue. My furnace was 20+ years old and unfortunately would cost a lot to repair. We decided to replace the whole furnace and A/C unit. Matt was great with providing options and was up front about pricing. Due to being the weekend, the unit was not able to be replaced until Monday morning. David and Anthony arrived and promptly replaced both the furnace and A/C unit while being professional throughout. After the installation, David showed us the new system and explained its functionality. Matt, David, and Anthony were great throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Our furnace went out in my home, and Five Star was able to send out a technician the same day. Brandon Morgan showed up, quickly diagnosed the problem and we had a new furnace the next day. Brandon was amazing! He was extraordinarily friendly and helped us find the best possible options. I will absolutely be using this company for any future projects. The technicians who installed our equipment were also fantastic. Again, very friendly and professional. Five star gets five stars from us. Thank you!

5 star Adam came to our home yesterday to check our system, they were honest about our choice to repair or replace we opted to replace, we knew it was past time to replace Adam worked out a quote along with Dale over the phone Adam was not pushy and we appreciate him! Today came 2 installers Scott and Conner! They worked hard to install our furnace and AC We now have heat and its so quiet! We love it! Dale came by to make sure all was well and working! Very happy with 5 Star service and pricing/! Don’t hesitate to call 5 Star!!!

Outstanding work by Alex & crew, good communication and whole team was friendly and professional. Installing a new HVAC system, and correcting some modernization, within a 125 yr old house wasn't easy but they didn't let that stop them from getting our new system in and getting us heat same day. Nathan listened to our needs & concerns and got us exactly what we needed for a fair price. Alex's crew were very conscientious with inside work and did a great job of clean-up. I will be happy to use Five Star again if we have future needs.

Jeff was the first person to help me with my plumbing issues. He was fantastic. He is the reason I decided to go Five Star Home Services. He was so kind and understanding. Truly an asset to the company. He cares about making sure things were right. Austin the technician who came to my home was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and so understanding. I never felt pressured by his opinions. I found him to be very honest and definitely the person I will use. The company overall is awesome because of their honesty and also to help their customers.
