The whole process was 5 star, from the bid to the installation. Great people to work with from the owner to the office staff to the techs & installers. We have used S & S for 29 years keeping up service on the unit etc. This time it was a new furnace & air conditioning unit. When you find good people & a good product you need to stick with them & of course SPREAD THE WORD!

We are so happy that went with S&S Heating! Our AC went out during one of the hottest weeks of summer. Mark came out quickly, took a look at everything and spent time explaining everything to us. There were scheduled a few weeks out (understandably for this time of year) but refilled the coolant in the unit as a courtesy, so we would be comfortable until they could replace everything. That is going above and beyond! When the time came for the work to be done, the guys showed up on time, were professional and got the work done quickly. They also left no mess behind! Their pricing was fair as well. All around, we had a great experience and would highly recommend them!

Friendly, courteous and professional. From the first visit for an estimate to completing the job, I felt very comfortable that the result would be well done. The furnace was installed and working the same day, so I didn't have to be without heat overnight. The air conditioner was completed the next day. Highly recommended!

Called for a quote to get water tank cleaning done and check valve installed. Came out once did the cleaning all fine charged the 130 quoted for it. Was told they need to come back for the valve. They called me quoted 40 some dollars for part plus labor. It was 103 in labor which is fine labor was in the quote. Handed me a bill with an added 105 diagnostic fee (I requested the part nothing was diagnosed just wanted put on). Called to ask why that wasnt in the quote was told thats just standard. Edit. For the cleaning of the system flushimg it the technician brought 1 gallon of vinagar and after he reviewed the tankless system. He ran a gallon for about 14 minutes said he did a few extra min but they dont need it my water heater already started acting up. I didnt want to pay again so took out the manual, it requires 4 gallons and to flush for 1 hour. So thanks for nothing. I will call in morning to inform them will update with response.

Mark stopped out same day thinking I needed a brand new furnace based in what I was told previous . He came in checked out what was going on first was not at all interested in selling me a new system. Fired up the furnace explained how it operates and some things that could use a tune up to buy some more time. A new furnace is in our near future and I know who I will trust and go to when we take the leap soon! Thanks Mark for your patience, listenting to my concerns and giving me some reassurance.

I am writing this review to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding S & S Heating, Cooling & Sheet Metal company’s refusal to provide emergency service for a furnace they installed in my home in 2010. Despite the fact that their team originally installed both the furnace and air conditioning unit, when I called their service number on 10/23/2025, I was informed that they would not dispatch a technician to address a complete heating failure—solely because I did not contract with them for the annual maintenance checkup. This decision is not only unacceptable but also irresponsible, especially considering the circumstances: • There was currently no heat in the home. • Two senior citizens reside in the household, both of whom are vulnerable to cold temperatures. • The forecasted temperatures for the coming week were between 40°F and 50°F, posing a serious health risk. As a home owner, I understand the importance of service agreements and preventative maintenance. However, denying emergency service to a long-standing customer—particularly one whose equipment was installed by their company—due to a lack of annual checkup participation is both unethical and contrary to the principles of customer care and safety. So if you need to replace your furnace or A/C, I highly recommend you look else-where for a more compassionate company.

S&S has done the maintenance on my boiler for years, and recently installed whole house air conditioning in my older house in Cleveland Heights. They are professional, courteous, responsible, reliable and reasonably priced. Their routine maintenance is exceptional and their installation work was as well. I would recommend them without reservations for heating or cooling work.

While our furnace installation last December went smoothly, we have had nothing but issues since getting our A\C installed this spring. The technicians were inexperienced and cut corners, and the work was not done in accordance with our original (written) quoted estimate. The company has not stood by their work at all, despite us reaching out several times. I have let my neighbors know to avoid them now, which is disappointing given our previous good install.

Absolutely satisfied with the work! Mr. Zach, the boiler man, came out and diagnosed a tricky situation with my boiler and was able to get it working in a safe way until the parts came in. He got everything working correctly with the new parts and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and the price I can't complain about either. I thought it was pretty fair. Definitely calling S+S again. Thank you for the quality service Zach.

My AC went out in the middle of a heat wave and S & S came to the rescue! From start to finish they were professional, gave me options on repair vs. replace, and gave me a fair price on the replacement I ultimately chose. They were on time, considerate, and cleaned up after the job. Great experience, would highly recommend. Best of all, my house is nice and cool now.

The crew showed up on time both days. The installation of the furnace and AC went smoothly. The crew worked well together and was informative. They expertly fabricated the new duct work for the furnace. Clean up after themselves when the job was finished. We are very happy with our new Trane furnace.

S & S installed a furnace in our home in October of this year. We contacted several companies for quotes and after reviewing them all, we decided to have S & S do the installation. We couldn't be happier with the results! Mark recommended a 2-stage furnace and what great advice... a big difference in relation to our previous furnace. Everything about our experience was top notch from the initial contact to the job clean up. Everything they said they would do, they did! I even tried to register the unit and found that they had already done it! Highly Recommended!!!

We compared several companies to replace our AC and Furnace. Three of our neighbors referred us to S&S because they had their units replaced by them and were extremely happy with their professionalism, services and products. S&S Heating and Cooling offered the best for the least! We are so impressed with their efficiency, courtesy, and their quality workmanship! The Trane products they installed are superb! The owner has kept in touch both personally and on the phone to be sure we were getting the best of everything. We were so impressed with their excellent service products and would HIGHLY recommend them!

We moved into a new house in February and could not assess the A/C system in lieu of cold weather. We recently had the crew from S & S out to service the system at which time we found that it was non-operational and in need of replacement. Additionally the furnace was serviced, was operating correctly, however, because of its age we decided to replace it as well. Last week a new A/C unit and furnace were installed and just in time for this week's hot weather! The S&S staff arrived on time, did a very nice job with the install and left my basement as clean as was found upon their arrival. I would recommend this company for any of your HVAC needs.

[Updated Review] ----------------------------- - This work was being done under a home warranty that was denied since the owner told them the motor was incorrectly installed which caused the wires connected to the blower motor to be pinched and stop working. These wires are part of the blower motor assembly and the owner is saying the blower motor was fine, and didn't need to be replaced even though the technician told me there was an issue installing the part he brought out. When he completed the work, he said he wrapped it with tape to reduce the movement of the mower from happening again. Here is the Technician write-up on my invoice which never states anything about improper installation of the blower motor: "Found wires blower motor wires pinched between the motor and the motor mount(see attached photo). This had cut through the high speed and the low speed wires. Was able to repair the damaged wires. Verified normal operation." [Original Review] Pros -------------------------------------------- - Friendly and experienced technician was able to fix my furnace blower motor when the part that was brought was not correct - Knowledgeable owner who spent time discussing my HVAC concerns while also providing an on the spot quote for a new system - Every time I called their number, Chrissy picked up the phone and assisted. She was always respectful and was simply doing her job as I would expect. Cons -------------------------------------------- - Technician was 45 minutes late. Never called to say they were running late. I called 20 minutes after they were supposed to show up, and Chrissy told me he was trying to pickup the part. - When the technician found the bracket for the blower motor wouldn't work with the new blower motor, he decided to start fixing the existing blower motor. When I came down to see how things were going, he was already taking the new blower motor apart. I would have rather he stopped and let me know the situation before moving forward with the work. I would think the company is responsible for confirming the correct part since they are experienced in HVAC repair. - The owner said they could simply replace the blower motor on my furnace based on another company's diagnostic that pointed to it being an issue. While he was at my home, he agreed it's most likely the blower motor based on his own observation. I told him my apprehension about having another company replace the blower motor because most companies want to run their own diagnostic first. He didn't seem concerned, and said he said they could replace it with a generic blower motor which I was fine with. This was being done under a home warranty and they already saw the diagnostic as completed and wouldn't pay for a second diagnostic, but did approve the blower motor replacement. When the work was completed I was charged for a diagnostic and 2 hours of labor time. The technician was at my home exactly 2 hours which is fair, but the additional diagnostic charge does not make sense. It was already known the blower motor was the issue. This was simply a call to replace the part. The technician chose to fix it based on the part that was brought would not fit as planned. The owner said the diagnostic fee will stand. He did not care to reach out to talk about it, but had Chrissy let me know instead. - The technician fixed the blower motor on top of my 3 week old freezer that was next to my furnace. This left multiple dents which is simply not right. When he asked to borrow a hammer, I didn't think anything of it, but now realize that the hammering was happening on top of the freezer. When you have someone coming to your home to fix something, you figure they will be mindful of the rest of your belongings. I had additional vent work I was going to do based on the owner's recommendation, but based on this experience I decided to cancel the appointment. I am always happy to recommend good contractors to my friends, family, and neighbors, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so based on this situation.

One word to describe S&S Heating and Cooling is Awesome…. It was November when I called and needed new furnace and they were quick to respond and very reasonable and most of all the customer service we received was phenomenal !!!
