Oneida County Furnace recently installed a new hot water heater in my home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The team was professional, efficient, and provided excellent communication throughout the process. The installation was completed quickly by Shay and the team with great attention to detail. In the interest of transparency, I do have a family connection to the company, but my experience as a customer was genuinely outstanding. I would confidently recommend Oneida County Furnace to anyone in need of reliable and professional HVAC service.

I’m a little biased, this is my family’s small business. We’ve owned and operated Oneida County Furnace for over 60 years. Thank you for choosing our us as your trusted heating and cooling advisor.

I called the office on Tuesday and repair team cane on Wednesday. On the time they set the appt. The two gentlemen that serviced my furnace were courteous and well versed in what my issue was. Shay showed me how to use the new thermostat. GreT experience.

Incompetent or... This service was called to investigate a furnace issue by an older woman whose husband was no longer able to address maintenance. The technician spent some time looking at it and said he couldn't figure it out. He would need to call in his boss, Chet. Chet came out and looked and it and said it needed to be replaced, it was just too old and broken down. He sat at the table with her and estimated it would be around $4K, not even a fixed price. Around $4K. The woman called family members for advice and a second opinion was obtained through Lowe's. They came out and discovered the emergency cut off switch had been turned off and that the furnace was in fine working order. No competent repairman would miss that fact. Furnaces are not complicated devices. The "or" is really concerning.

He installed a low grade used furnace for the price of a top quality new one. Then he denied that he had charged me 4.500 dollars for it when I have the receipt and the cleared check that I wrote out to him. Strange person. Their old lining in the inside of the chimney fell and caused a blockage and carbon monoxide to infiltrate the home, but I could not take them to court because it was too long ago when they installed that lining in the chimney and had no proof they did that. He would not go to the home to fix the problem with the new heating system, so I had to call another heating person in my town to fix my new 4,500 dollar heating system, wow, that was the worst contractor scenario I ever encountered. He was rude to boot.

I called to schedule a service call because our furnace was shutting off prematurely. I called the number of a local furnace company who had installed our furnace in the past and placed their sticker on it. The appointment was scheduled for a Tuesday morning. The repairman came and replaced a diaphragm at the cost of $10.50 and a furnace filter costing $3.50. The filter had been recently replaced and was clean. The service call was $100.00 and the labor charge was $65.00. Because the service was during work hours, a relative stayed in our home to make payment on our behalf of services rendered. When we arrived home from work, our house was 59 degrees and the furnace was not running. We called the office of Oneida County Furnace at (315) 337-7460 and talked to an answering service. The repairman returned the phone call two hours later. I explained to him that the furnace was still shutting down before the set temperature was reached and the problem had not been resolved. He stated that the furnace was running when he left but the thermostat did not call for heat and he admitted to not checking for an explanation. When I asked him why this issue was not taken into consideration during the first service call, he said he would have to charge us another $100.00 service charge plus labor. Our house temperature at this point in the evening was 55 degree and we have 3 young children. He refused to come back that night and we did not get a return phone call from the owner even after multiple messages left with the answering service. I was able to contact the owner the next morning and he refused to come back to repair the furnace because his employee claimed to have fixed the problem. He said I should get someone else.
