Had my microwave uninstalled and replaced with another one. It was a slightly nuanced job because we had a shelf and range on top of it, but Bud Matthews employees did an excellent job and were able to handle it with ease. Thanks so much to them!

Bud Matthews is always reliable, conscientious, on time, and do a great job. I have been using their services for over 15 years, servicing my HVAC, appliance repair, and this time hooking up a new stove to LP gas (requiring a conversion kit). The tech converting the new stove double checked the gas burners for flame height and for gas leaks. He was very knowledgeable about the brand and model of the stove.

We would like to report how pleased we were with Bud Matthews Service dealing with a refrigerator ice maker. Another repair service had failed to fix the problem. Turned out Paul, with Bud Matthews Service, had to make a second trip to resolve the problem. The second trip was very time consuming and included having the remove and replace the refrigerator door. We were very pleasantly surprised that we were not billed for the second trip. Furthermore, Paul obligingly helped us with a chore that was not related to the repair job. Highly recommend.

This is an wonderful company. I have used their services many times, for everything from fixing a leaky shower to installing a new furnace. Recently Rosa, one of their outstanding plumbers, installed a new hot water heater and many other upgrades in my house. She and her team were very knowledgeable, kind, polite, and efficient. Rosa, a true professional, went far above and beyond what was required, and explained everything before beginning each phase of her work. I highly recommend Bud Matthews!

I had an amazing experience this morning in receiving plumbing services from Adam Hill. He came to my house to give me an estimate for a water leak detection system. He explained how the system works, checked with an electrician, recommended a particular option, and gave me an estimate. Throughout the process, Adam was courteous, friendly, and positive. Ruptured pipe under my home. Eduardo was my plumber. He was efficient and very professional. The pipe was repaired in less than 30 minutes. This isn't the first time that I have used Bud Matthews. They have always been efficient and professional whenever I have had plumbing issues. I highly recommend them!

Here is your warning before calling Bud Matthews…let’s start at the beginning. The first part of June, I called for an appointment for them to look at a clogged toiled in our half bathroom downstairs. They came out on June 14 and unclogged the line going to the city tap in. Well, same thing happened again. At that point it was affecting our kitchen sink. Every time we would run water in our kitchen sink the toilet would overflow. So they came on June 25 and ran a snake and camera to see what was going on. June 26th the manager came out and determined that a PVC pipe outside the house was the source of the problem. They said that although this pipe was going downhill it had a little “belly” and needed to be dug up and replaced. They came back and completed the job on July 2nd. That alone was $2750.00. I was very thankful that they had what I thought fixed the issue…I was wrong. About 1-2 weeks later guess what, we had the same issue as the beginning. Once again, we called them and they couldn’t come for 4 days. We had to deal with our toilet overflowing every time we washed a dish in our kitchen sink until they could come. They came back out on July 18th and determined it was a flapper inside the pipe that was not opening. This was not the same place that was previously repaired. Keep in mind, I had already paid them $2750.00 to fix this same problem. Once they opened the flapper, the toilet and sink were working, but they advised us we would need to replace the flapper and they would replace the flapper that afternoon or the next day. Well, that never happened, we never got a call or anything. Remember July 18th, they determined it was the flapper. I called multiple times to see why the flapper hadn’t been replaced and when it would be replaced. On the 3rd phone call, they said the wrong part came in (which is understandable, mistakes do happen) and that they would be out later in the week to fix. They did not come back until August 16th to install the flapper. Everything works fine now, but now I have a $461.00 invoice for a plumber service call and labor fee. Sounds like I was charged to replace pipe that didn’t need to be replaced, since that didn’t actually fix the issue.

Excellent service. I contacted Bud Mathews Service through Angie's List and used “Request a Quote” for a gas cook top that needed repair. Personnel telephoned me within one day, acknowledged my inquiry and said that a repairman would call me within a day or two. Paul telephoned and explained what parts would be necessary to make the repair, and gave me an estimate. Bud Mathews' staff called a couple of days later and scheduled an appointment. Paul arrived at the scheduled appointment time and proceeded to repair the cook top. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The charge was as estimated.

My refrigerator died the day after Thanksgiving 2019. I called all over trying to find someone to come out. No one could help me because it was a holiday. I reached one guy and he said he didn't want to work on my refrigerator because it is a difficult model and he didn't want his ratings to go down!!! I called Bud Matthews and they sent someone right out and fixed the problem. I believe his name was Paul. He was courteous and professional and he fixed it. This review is late, but I am still so grateful that I found Bud Matthews. If anything breaks in my home ever again, Bud Matthews is the only company I am going to call.

They were rude and abusive over the phone. They sent their tech early and called my home phone to tell me about it. I happen to be not home at the time as I was not expecting them at that time. Mind you they had my cell No., Finally, it dawned on them to call me on my cell. I asked the technician to wait I was stuck in traffic, morning rush hour, would be there in 15 min, at which point Mr. Mathews became belligerent and abusive. Now it was they who wanted to come early, they have been late coming a number of times to my house on the previous occasion because it took them longer than expected at a prior appointment. I didn't have a fit. I think Mr. Matthews is bipolar and needs professional help. This is not how one should treat a client. In the meantime, I lost thousands of dollars worth of food. This man is shameless.

Paul came out to our house within a few days of my call. He is very competent. I am fairly technical and saw he was methodical in narrowing down the source of the problem which turned out to be a failed circuit board. He got a price on the new circuit board and called me the next day. He said that if the problem turned out to be something different, we would not be charged for it. He came the next week with a helper to remove the door, install the new circuit board and put back the door. Ice Maker worked immediately. The repair was expensive but half of the cost was in the circuit board. I would definitely hire Bud Matthews again.

He came quickly (same day) because our refrigerator was not working at all. He spent considerable time diagnosing. He said it was the compressor. He told me that unfortunately on this LG refrig it would cost $1000 to replace the compressor even with the part paid for by LG. The refrig was only 3.5 years old! He said LG was having serious issues with their compressors. He has seen 5 or 6 in the last month or so. He said even if he replaced the compressor, odds are that it would break again within 4 years. So he advised getting a new refrig, recommending Whirlpool as one of the best and the easier (cheapest) to repair. He only charged us for a visit. (We bought a new Whirlpool refrig the next day.)

Repairman efficiently determined the was a broken part that was making the noise. He had one in his truck. He showed me the broken part and how it functions in the dryer. He then showed mw the new part and installed it. Everything finished in a half hour. Repairman was polite, professional , and knowledgable.
