Work was completed.

Louis was excellent. Solved difficult plumbing problem with skill. Not a clog, was a broken pipe behind a wall and ceiling.

Created a toxic mess on the floor that took several hours to clean up. I requested a more detailed explanation of the problems he mentioned but no one did what I asked, even after several attempts on my part. Will not use again.

These people built trust with me over a number of visits and them WHAM! Came to diagnose why my ac wasn't working. Told me I needed a new condensate pump. Represented a price of $1,053 with a discount that would bring the price to $801. A new condensate pump (exact model) costs $64 and change on Amazon. it is a plug in unit that literally takes no more than 5 minutes to install. Fortunately something didn't set right with me and I told them I would look around rather than let them install. There were mild squirrelly indicators something was off like when the technician suggested debris might have gotten into the drain pan portion of the unit. I asked if it did or didn't since he just looked at it and he claimed not to know. I asked how debris could have gotten into a closed system and he said maybe a prior technician left the plug off. Again, I said well you just looked at it; was the plug off? And again, no answer. They charged me $114 just for coming out and didn't respond to my written request that they refund that. I am not sure the condensate pump is even the problem- it seems to be the thermostat.

No respond to warranty questions. Paid for system checks which they tried to sale enhancements. So much for the idea of finding problems before they occur by doing two checkups each year. I discover all of the problems after the checkups were done that require one or several call backs. Not sure how they classify techs as seniors their licenses are journeyman.

They have been excellent and I would give them 5 stars. I would highly recommend them.

I’m back again to write another stellar review for GAC. Last year they replaced our HVAC system; this year we circled back and had them install a home generator. This was a long and drawn out process due to the various approvals needed from Montgomery County as well as coordination with Washington Gas (which ended up not just being a simple sign off but necessitating an additional, expensive upgrade to the gas line from the street to our home). Nevertheless, GAC did a fantastic job shepherding this process over the 6+ months of waiting on stakeholders, and they were also maximally accommodating to our family’s significant constraints on time and availability (due to health concerns related to a medically fragile family member). A special kudos to Sandy M, GAC’s master electrician, who took it on personally to ensure we were taken care of all throughout this process, going above and beyond with phone calls, text messages, personal visits, etc. on behalf of my family, I want to thank GAC and am giving top marks across the board for this effort which was complex , lengthy, and ultimately successful.

within 14 months, the unit died twice. the last time they had to replace the compressor and charged me for refilling the refrigerant even though still under warranty.

GAC came to our house, and in these trying times, face masks, gloves to evaluate our home and provide three options. And their proposal was the best we saw since we sought more than one. Their team came on time, and removed old system. Installed new system, and re routed system lines better than previous installer at no cost. Even insulated exterior lines and added additional protection for them. Leveled the compressor. And installed a better humidifier. All while in these trying times? Social distancing was maintained even when they walked me through the set up my Nest Thermostat, and system training. Face masks and gloves. Work area was clean and neat after they were done. We are so pleased with how GAC handled our job. Oh, and all the extra work they did? No additional cost for me. Part of the contract they offered me.

Since I can do electrical and carpentry, I handled some of the work myself. GAC suggested what needed to be done, and reduced their price accordingly for the work I did. The rest was done professionally and effectively, and I have a good heating and cooling system now.

GAC has always done a good job maintaining my system. When it was time to get a new system, I was given four options by Eric, ranked standard to best. After each option was explained, I decided to go with the better option. The team of Matt, David and Sam arrived on time and did a fantastic job with the installation. When the job was completed, they cleaned up, explained the new system and answered all my question. I highly recommend GAC.
