We contacted Building and Mechanical Services to diagnose and repair a clog in the drain line from our kitchen sink. They did a very professional job not only clearing the clog, but addressing the reason why the pipe clogged in the first place, ensuring that we will not have this issue repeat itself down the line. We were very impressed with not only the quality of the work, but the fairness and reasonableness of the final bill. As a general contractor we have hired B&M on multiple occasions for complex and unique projects, they have delivered time and time again. I was happy to learn that they also have a ready and capable team to work on emergency repairs and maintenance for residential. Job consisted of a complete rough plumbing installation for a townhouse remodel. The price was very reasonable; crew was very professional and efficient. I don't believe you can find a more competitive operation for the same quality of workmanship.

First visit: I’m very impressed with the work that was done. The men were on time, polite and skilled. I was kept informed throughout the service process and had the opportunity to ask questions. They were respectful of my home and clean. I recommend hiring them for any of your mechanical and HVAC needs. --- Second visit: I have a gas fireplace insert and hired a company to service it, bring it up to code, provide an inspection and fireplace report for our homeowners insurance. They came and after 45 minutes declared the fireplace broken, red flagged the unit and told me that it could not be repaired—but needed to be replaced at a cost of $3,000.00. I sought a second opinion. Mr. McDowell inspected the fireplace and had the flame lit in 2 minutes time. There was nothing wrong with the fireplace, no parts needed to be replaced, it meets all of the required codes and can be certified for our homeowners insurance. Mr. McDowell saved me $3,000.00 and from being victimized by a predatory company.

This company is exceptional!!! I’ve used them a few times now and feel a huge sense of relief to have a company that is truly reliable and affordable! As a single female I sometimes worry that I’m being taken advantage of, or I find that I’m not taken as seriously and they end up not being as reliable. That is not the case with them however. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a really great experience with Building and Mechanical Services. Gene was awesome to work with from the start. Super easy to talk to, upfront, and gave me a very fair price right away which I really appreciated compared to some of the other HVAC companies out there. They got everything scheduled quickly and knocked out the install without any issues. The work was clean, professional, and you can tell they use good quality equipment. Overall just a really smooth experience and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work. I’d use them again without hesitation.

I had water backup in my basement. Building and Mechanical services was able to get to the house within a couple hours to diagnose the issue unfortunately My sewage ejector pump went up but they were here the following day to remove and replace pump. The communication with the office was good very quick to respond and were able to get me on the schedule knowing I needed it done asap Highly recommend

Got home from work at 3pm, found outside unit fan not running. Did some diy tests and realized I needed a pro. Called these guys and Ed said he had to run a service call and then come over. He showed up and a half hour later he had the unit up and running with cool air coming threw the vents. Highly recommend this company. Very professional,courteous service with a decent rate for it being a later call. Thank you Ed.

Eddie s price did not empty my pocket, he was able to arrive quickly after being contacted about the broken air conditioner, and he was pleasant to deal with. He was also very honest about what needed to be repaired rather then trying to fix more then what needed to be like other companies I ve dealt with. I will hire him again.

Unlike other HVAC pros, he did not use scare tactics to make me spend more and his rates were significantly less as well.
