Don’t believe the reviews this place is a scam! Would be a zero but it won’t let me do that. They’re crooks they force you to pay 150 to just show up even if a warranty is covering your product. That’s a scam! They did not Honor our hot water heater heaters warranty and try to charge us $150 just to look at it! They won’t give you any idea of their fees till they get there for $150. They’re a bunch of fraudsters. 10 year warranty useless! Shame on them do not go here. Awful awful place and you’re on hold for at least a while before a human will answer. But they have no clue when you ask them questions. They’re just the receptionist or whatever. Shame on this place fraudulent warranties might be turning them into the AG. I saw their response and they’re lying. I’ve called repetitively they never never withdraw the 150 show up fee. When working with them they won’t tell you any fees in advance of the work and they charge you just to show up. And then their warranty does not cover any service installation and they beef up their service cost so basically there is no warranty. I repeat there is no warranty. They are full of it. Their response is full of it.

We had a really positive experience with Addario’s Plumbing and I’d give them a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars if that were an option. The only reason it’s not a full five is that the process started a bit slowly — the initial response time wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. That said, once I followed up and spoke with someone directly, they were completely on it from that point forward and very responsive. The team that came out was excellent. Reginald (I believe he was the lead) was especially impressive — extremely detailed, meticulous, and great at explaining everything in clear, understandable terms. They shortened an existing gas line, installed our new dryer with the vent hose, and made sure everything was fully operational before leaving. We also had them clean out the old vent line (which we paid for), and they did a thorough job. Overall, the quality of the work and professionalism once things got moving were top-notch. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Addario’s again and would definitely recommend them — just be prepared to follow up if you’re hoping to get on the schedule quickly.

Brendan did an outstanding job with our heating service. He was punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what was going on, and answered all our questions clearly. It’s rare to find a technician who combines technical skill with such great customer service. We felt confident and well taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend Brendan for any heating needs!

He was very knowledgeable and paid attention to my needs. The techs were all professional and cared about the install. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was running properly. I had an excellent experience with Addario's Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical. They were fast, knowledgeable, and professional from start to finish. The technician clearly explained the issue, walked me through the options, and got the job handled quickly and correctly. The install was done cleanly, everything was brought up to code, permits were handled, and there were no surprises. You can tell they know what they’re doing and take pride in their work. If you want the job done right the first time by people who actually know their craft, I’d highly recommend them.

Excellent service starting with my response to an email ad for a heating system check up before the winter. My boiler shuts off a lot and does not always "fire up". First I spoke to an ai bot but when I asked if it was human it said no and I said I would book online. I did book online, then got a follow up call from Debbie (a real human, I have dealt with before). She confirmed my appointment and what kind of heater to prepare the technician. Ed came the next day, during the time window, called on the way, and did a great analysis. He troubleshooted, found the part needing replacement. We scheduled a cleaning and part replacement for when I move a storage cabinet I need to move out of the way, so in a few days. He was reasonable with charges and highly professional. I have used Addario's in the past. They send great people. Sometimes price negotiation is appropriate. Expect the best.

Called for an emergency plumber; agreed to pay the surcharge; was told they would arrive between 7 and 9 am the next day after speaking to two reps. The next morning; I missed I got a text saying they would Not come between 7 and 9, but maybe between 10-4. I had already explained that I was trying to address an issue at my parent house while they were away on vacation with a potential frozen pipe/ and I that I didn’t live there and they needed to come at the time they had told me b/c of the snow storm I needed to travel back to my own home. They said they understood and would have some one come out and to expect a call soon. They never showed up. Disgraceful business. I had stopped contacting other plumbers b/c I had been told they would come the night before. Be honest and simply say they cannot come so I can continue to look for alternatives. Because I was so delayed I continuing to look for others, my parents house pipe situation has worsened. Even when I waited for them to show up by 4pm, way after the time they had promised, they never showed up.

Got a kitchen faucet replaced. Quick service, got the job done three hours after I booked the appointment. The apprentice that came was very friendly but I'm knocking one star off for Shane the licensed plumber, who gave me attitude when I politely asked to see his plumbing license and check it in the state database. He had not brought it with him and seemed annoyed that he had to ask his apprentice to get it for him. When he brought it back to Shane, it took me asking him a second time to see it. He did show it to me (he did not allow me to photograph it). And he left very abruptly without saying goodbye. A lot of Addario's reviews attest to the professionalism of their technicians but Shane left something to be desired.

The team came over promptly when I had an issue with my heat on some of the coldest nights of the year. They installed a brand new combination water heater/boiler quickly and efficiently. They were very neat and the team was very professional. I’m very impressed with The job that was done from the initial consultation to the end of the work.

At one time, Townsend was probably a very good company to deal with, communicating and working with its customers to solve problems. In my experience, it’s become too large to be bothered with the issues of a single customer. In 2020, I decided to change my oil dealer and Townsend appeared to have good reviews. We started out by following their advice and having a new oil tank installed. It was time. More on the installation below. My first problem was their not leaving me a copy of the ‘ticket’ that the oil truck meter prints out after a delivery. Massachusetts law states that that ticket must be left after a delivery. After a month, Townsend didn’t send the ticket; they sent a bill with added interest. They refused to talk to me about it. Even tried the ‘Talk to Jim’ link on their website---Jim didn’t want to talk to me. Finally settled this by refusing to pay the interest. Earlier this year, my furnace kept shutting down. The repair crew that came over told me that the company that put in the new line should have installed a Tiger Loop to rid the line of air bubbles that interrupted oil flow. When I told him that Townsend had put in the line he was both shocked and embarrassed. Then I got a bill for $225 for the service that just told me I had air in the line. In fact, in the quote from Townsend for installation of the line, the Tiger Loop was listed---they just didn’t put it in. When I wrote to them protesting the $225 and that they hadn’t installed the Tiger Loop, they stonewalled me, just kept sending the bill for $225. I had enough. Paid for my last oil delivery (not the $225) and got another oil company. The other company asked me why I didn’t have a Tiger Loop on the fuel line (!!). Also, asked what I had been paying per gallon for oil from Townsend. They are almost a dollar cheaper per gallon (and my fills are about 300 gallons). Think twice about doing business with Townsend. I wonder who wrote all those 5 star reviews on their website?

These guys turned out to be the biggest shaft ever! One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Here are the facts : 1. they came to our house on a Saturday for 15 minutes (we were away) to do repairs I had requested they do months previously and charged us for 2 hours overtime, not thinking we would find out. The person staying at our house said the repairman told her it was too cold to do any work and left after 15 minutes 2. They left the door open to the boiler room allowing freezing winds to freeze parts. 3. They agreed to remove the charges because of their carelessness, which was a positive. They returned to redo the repairs, but the repairs they did failed. They came back again, corrected their work but charged us again for the same repairs, which I refused to pay. 4. In retaliation, they disconnected our propane. I cancelled our contract with them. They removed their propane tanks as I requested, but they did not pay us for the propane in those tanks. I filed a complaint with MA Consumer protection and my local police dept(disconnecting the energy supply of senior citizens is prohibited by law)

I was on a delivery schedule. I saw that my tank had about 1/8 of a tank. When I called them, they said they had made a delivery that week. It so happened that it had snowed so I had a recently shoveled path and saw no boots other than my own and no signs of a hose, in addition to the fact that my tank was almost empty. They refused to come unless my tank was empty (which would involve a restart charge).

Call them for the first time having never used them before when we lost heat. They were listed on the Buderus / Bosch web site as a certified service provider. Receptionist said servicemen were out on out-of-heat service calls but that they would call us in 3-4 hours. 3 hours later, Denny stopped by and immediately figure out the problem. He also tweaked the controller and seemed to have fixed a long-standing issue regarding the zones not turning on. He took the time to explain some of the obscure features of the boiler to me. The guy knew his stuff...would definitely use them again. <br />

We ran out of oil, Townsend came and provided 10 gallons and said they would return the next day to fill it. <br /> The service was prompt and went well. However they charges us $130 for the service person and 10 gallons - at $2.599 per gallon. Expensive but OK fine, my fault. <br /> Then they filled the tank the next day, again at $2.599 per gallon. That is about $0.60 more than all other oil companies. <br /> They saw desperation and they pounced. <br /> Beware before doing business with them. <br />

I used them before for my propane but I did not have a good experience with the people who did my oil so I looked for another company but still ended up with them since they are already my propane provider. So I have a service contract for my oil burner. I have used them for my propane for a little less than a year now.
