We very highly recommend Jordan and Higher Standard Mechanical LLC. Jordan recently replaced our failing furnace and did an amazing job. He was professional, communicative, capable, trustworthy and accommodating. Jordan was very responsive to our schedule and other needs. The price we were quoted was reasonable. However, Jordan went well above and beyond the basic service and what we expected, but kept to the original price. The work was exceptional and our property was left clean. We couldn’t be happier and very highly recommend Jordan.

During the blizzard of 2026 we lost power for three days. Needless to say, the house was frigid. We were concerned we wouldn’t be able to find anyone in a reasonable amount of time to get us back on track….but then came Jordan! He quickly diagnosed issues with both our hot water tank and furnace, sourced parts quickly, estimated the timeframe that he would complete the job and kept to schedule. In addition, he treated our home with respect, kept everything neat and tidy to a point you’d never know he was there. Thanks, Jordan you’re the best!

Jordan was quickly responsive to check the status of a pilot after a major storm and got my tenant's hot water and heat back online asap. Furthermore, I was informed he was very courteous and professional throughout the repair work.

I met Jordan while walking my dog in my neighborhood and asked him if he worked on gas furnaces . He replied yes . I took his business card , did some research , and hired him to do some maintenance work on my furnace. I found Jordan to be professional , polite and very knowledgeable. I received emergency services on a Saturday, after my alarm system alerted me there was a carbon monoxide leak. Mr. Widdis tried all measures to correct my faulty boiler. This was the original boiler and it had to be replaced. He worked tirelessly until Christmas Eve, replacing that and updating everything! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Our upstairs bathroom sink stopped working and Jordan was able to get us in on short notice. He did an outstanding job very professional and clean installation. If we need work in the future with anything related hvac / plumbing we will only work with him.

My neighbor recommended Jordan, owner of Higher Standard Mechanical, when our AC stopped working on one of the hottest days of the summer (of course). I called and was pleasantly surprised that Jordan answered immediately, apologized for not being able to stop by that day due to being off cape on a large installation job, and promised he would rearrange a few things and fit me in between 10-12 the following morning. At 9:50 AM he called to say he was 15 min out and by 11:00 AM he had diagnosed and fixed the issue, tweaking a few things to make the unit work better and more efficiently than it ever has. Jordan is extremely knowledgeable about what he does and clearly takes pride in his work and his business. If that isn’t reason enough to hire him, his communication skills in terms of answering the phone immediately when I called, being honest about not being able to stop by until the next day and then arriving exactly when he said he would, are what really differentiate him. And yes, his rates are beyond reasonable. Whether it’s a major install (the reason my neighbor hired him) or a minor repair like we had, Jordan should be your first and only call.

I met Jordan when my son in law contacted him to troubleshoot a central A/C system. He was knowledgeable, detail oriented and professional. When the work was complete I asked if he installed mini-split systems, and asked for a quote. He provided the quote by end of day. The materials were promptly delivered to the house, he provided a start date and estimated time for installation which was accurate. The installation was done efficiently with a lot of attention to detail. Jordan has an incredible work ethic and is meticulous about his work. The installation was well thought out mechanically and also done so that it was esthetically pleasing. My Dad lives with us and commented throughout the installation about his observations, stating that he was a hard worker and detailed oriented. Additionally, Jordan is courteous, pleasant to talk with, maintained a clean work site.

What a great experience! We came home to no hot water from our Fourth of July vacation. It being the high season of summer, we didn’t think we were going to get someone to respond quickly.Jordan showed up within an hour of being called. Knowledgeable, great character and work ethic. My hydronic heater boiler stopped working. Called Jordan and he was over the next day. After much diagnosis, few days later the boiler was back up and running. It definitely gave Jordan a run for his money. He wouldn’t give up until it was back to working order. Jordan provided expert service in a highly communicative and professional manner. He quickly diagnosed the problem and in addition to fixing the issue (inducer motor), also took preventative measures (rerouting the venting) to better the life of the replacement part required. Jordan came out to service an old A/C unit for me. It basically had older gas, with a leak and was not repairable. We discussed options and Jordan was knowledgeable, efficient and gave me a very fair price on the service call as well as what he told me to expect as a replacement price. Highly recommend him. Jordan and Joe did a fabulous job of getting an old, leaky oil tank out of my basement. They arrived on time and made quick work of the task. It was fascinating to watch them as they sawed the tank in half and cleaned it out. They were neat and efficient. The basement looked cleaner after they left!
