Great company with great people. We did a furnace/AC replacement. I asked about some items that would have increased the cost (new humidifier and air cleaner) and they explained why what we had was good and didn't try to up sell anything. I didn't have the same experience with a different company at another property. There were rebates available from ComEd and Nicor which they took care of for us. Additionally they reworked/built some duct work to provide even heating throughout the home.

I own several rental properties and prefer to stick to a small set of my preferred contractors and service companies. However, I had to choose Command service since my primary choice HVAC company was unavailable. Command service said they charged a $99 service/diagnostic fee but offered a $20 Angie’s list discount. So far so good. They sent a tech first thing the following day and he quickly figured out the furnace blower motor broke. They called me and quoted a price of $490 for parts and labor in addition to service fee of $79. I have hired many HVAC companies over the years and they always would apply service fee towards repairs. This was the first company that didn’t do that. They also failed to mention this upfront during initial phone call. However, pricing issues aside, the tech took the motor housing from my furnace without my permission. I had to call Command Service multiple times to get my parts back. I promptly paid $79 to Command Service and gave my business to another HVAC company who came out the same day and ran diagnostics and replaced motor for a little over half the price Command Service quoted. I not only saved $$ but found a better reliable company who will get my repeat business in the future.

First, let me say that I did a significant amount of research before replacing our 20 year old Furnace and AC units. Rather than wait until the furnace died at some point in the middle of winter, I started getting quotes from local contractors in early March. I got a total of 8 quotes from local contractors and after evaluating them all, we decided to go with Command and I am very glad we did. They offer an excellent product (Trane) and their price was fair (in fact, lower than other Trane dealers). Having been given a recommendation for Jake (Command) through a neighbor, Jake came to my house for a quote at a flexible time given my work schedule and proceeded to review with me my HVAC options. He was patient and did not try to upsell me or use any cheesy salesmen pressure tactics-- instead he just gave me the facts. I really appreciated this. He was also quick to respond to all of my follow up questions via email and text and did a great job of educating me as a consumer. Once we decided to go with Command, Jake and Jeff came to our home yesterday for the install at exactly the time they said they would. They were professional and did an outstanding job on the install. They were careful and conscientious of keeping our house clean and worked efficiently to get the job done (both furnace and AC) by the afternoon. These guys are pros and it showed. So far, the furnace is running great. I am glad I went with Trane as it seems like a very solid product. I have not been able to test out the AC yet, but I have every reason to believe it will run fine. They will be coming back to finalize the AC later this spring. Plus, they are taking care of the rebates from my gas and electric company, saving me the hassle of having to jump through those hoops. This is exactly the type of action a company with excellent customer service does. Based on this experience, I can definitely recommend Command and will be using them for my future HVAC needs and have been more than impressed with them. It is nice to see people who take pride in their work and put a premium on quality and doing this right.

Could not have had a better experience. Of course this happened during the holidays. Our old furnace had cracks in the heat exchanger and my husband and I were getting headaches all the time (CO) Steve and his guys got a new unit installed and made the entire process worry free and easy. Don't bother looking at any other company. Command service is the best.

Identified problem but had to order part. Had also requested when they returned with part to have furnace cleaned. This was not scheduled into the workmans day and had to have a 3rd service call.

Jeff from Command detatched the light bulbs and ordered the new parts needed. Tjhe Command office called to say the part was in and set up an appointment. Jeff arrived and replaced the faulty part and put in a new cover over the light. The refrigerator is now working well.

The dishwasher showed a fault on the display and did not work. The repairman showed up on time, was very courteous and effective taking care of the problem. I got the invoice by email promptly. Definitely one of the best repair shops. <br> <br>

After working with a different heating/air company that was not punctual, wasted my time, and was terrible and explaining the problem, I was ready to try a new company. It was like a breath of fresh air to work with a technician (Jake) who showed up exactly when he said he would be there. His communication was great--he kept me informed through calls and texting on everything. He was also a good teacher--something that is very important to me as a woman who is uneducated when it comes to heating/air. He explained things in a very simple way, was very patient with me, and even sympathized with me on our past bad experience with the former company. I appreciated his professionalism, and how quickly he responded to my needs. Command Service came highly recommended to me by a close coworker who lives in Antioch, and I was happy to see they had good reviews on Angie's List. I will definitely be using them in the future for when we replace the air conditioning. I didn't feel as though I got a "deal" on the unit, however, it was a fair price for the service offered. I will also say that working with the two women who answered the phones in the main office were great. They both were extremely kind and sympathetic to us not having heat, and worked hard to get a technician out as soon as possible. The second time I called in, the woman knew who we were and was "waiting" for me to call. I felt like they cared about me and my situation. Originally they said they couldn't get someone out until the following day, and then I got a call back within a few hours saying that they had a technician whose time opened up and he could stop by that day at 3pm. I know the technician's days start early, so the fact that he was willing to stop by late afternoon was wonderful. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I will definitely be using them again! <br />
