Mick from South Shore Heating & Air Conditioning Inc was incredibly quick to respond and come out to my home, especially considering I had no heat during extremely cold weather. My heating system wasn’t holding the set temperature, and since it was a Friday, I called several companies—most told me they couldn’t come until Monday or Tuesday. One of my neighbors recommended Mick and even called him on my behalf. Mick showed up first thing the very next morning. He stayed on top of the issue and followed up continuously until the problem was fully resolved. Even after the repair was completed, he called a couple of times to make sure the heating system was working properly and holding temperature. That level of responsiveness and care is rare. It was Friday night and we were planning to go out to dinner. My wife got home at 4:30 and noticed it was warm in the house. Well I’ve been home all day mostly outside and never noticed the warm house( I normally stay outside because my wife keeps the house too cold). I called Mick and he said he was just heading out the door for dinner too. He said he would come over real quick and take a look at it. We had Mick come out to determine why we didn’t have cool air. He showed up right in time. He quickly found the issue. He also correct a couple of small items that needed to be fixed before they became larger issues. He cleaned our unit and had it up and running in less than an hour. Price was fantastic. We will definitely be calling him again for regular cleanings and service.

While I was out of town, I received a notification that the temperature in my home had dropped significantly. It was a Sunday afternoon, but Mick promptly returned my call and worked with my neighbor to assess the situation. Mick provided advice, recommendations, and ultimately completed the necessary work, keeping me updated throughout the process. He was prompt, responsive, professional...and I'm grateful for his help and wholeheartedly recommend his services!

January 2025 Called Mick because my furnace was acting up. I called him early in the day and he was at the house by late afternoon. He quickly found the source of the problem and said, “Part of the drain was clogged on the inducer motor and it should be OK now. Let me know if it isn’t.” It worked like a charm, and continues to operate accurately. Mick has been our HVAC man for the past 40 years. Trustworthy and honest I wouldn’t have anyone else for our heating and air conditioner maintenance service.

5 stars for Mick and South shore heating and air conditioning. I found Mick from a post on Facebook from someone who recommended them, and I'm glad I did. I was having a problem with my boiler (that other local companies could not diagnose) Mick was able to diagnose and fix my old boiler, and it's working as it should now. He was on time and fair and followed-up after to make sure everything was OK. He cares about his work and if you need help you should contact them.

Mick is not only a great HVAC tech, but also just a great guy in general. Always going above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. Highly recommended.

My husband and I can’t recommend Mick at South Shore Heating & Air enough. My husbands family have been using him for decades and we’ve had to make a few emergency calls ourselves and he is always quick to come and help us resolve our issues. When it came time to do a full upgrade there’s no one else we would use. He was prompt to give us the best quote, quick with install and set up, friendly, knowledgeable and an all around kind and trustworthy guy. I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Our furnace wasn't blowing any hot air. With it being the Saturday of the long Thanksgiving weekend, I fully expected to have trouble getting someone to come take a look right away and was resigned to a couple days of a chilly house, but Mick answered the phone immediately and was at the house in 15 minutes. Forty-five minutes later, the furnace was operational and he was done, having identified the problem and replaced two parts, both of which he already had in his van. Mick was quick, efficient, and knowledgeable, and the price was fair. South Shore will be who we call for any future HVAC issues.
