Breakaway Air

The furnace was set on the bare ground, and now mold is growing inside the furnace. They saw it and told me the tey were not responsible for it ,the guy that installed it was no longer an employee.

The person that cleared my drain would not guarantee his work past one week, so if the shower backed up again I would have to again pay a rather high fee to have is cleaned. Also, they person that came to my house used HIGH pressure sales to try to get me to buy all sorts of other things (new toilet etc.) when those things were in fine working order.

Good work but very expensive

The tenant in my rental said there was a smell coming from the bathroom sink. I checked all plumbing on two seperate occasions and found no problems (my tenant was also late with the rent). My tenant continued to complain so I called for a plumber and gave instructions not to do any additional work without my consent. The plumber checked everything and found no smell anywhere, but it would cost me $200 to snake the kitchen sink. I asked him why, when it had no problem draining and he had no answer. I know he hoped to make more on his trip out, but I consider this the same as trying to steal from me and I will be reporting this to the BBB.

Very disappointed. They wanted $69 just to come out and quote the work. For $109 you can get an exact appointment versus the $69 appointment that is for a 30 minute warning that they are on their way. This service fee is in additon to the labor and materials charge. You may get them to apply the fee toward the service, but why bother. There are plenty of plumbers who guarantee their work and don't charge this fee.

While I appreciate the work completed I do not feel it was a good deal for me, as a consumer. I've hired two more plumbers for comps on the same work performed and recommended and both comps are considerably lower then the proposal generated by Dan King. Essentially, I feel ripped-off.

came same day I needed them.. courteous and even though I know they were very busy the tech did not make me feel rushed an answered all of my questions

I had actually had contact with 2 other contractors listed here first, Airtechs cancelled and Sunset Mechanical wasn't available until the next week so I wound up with Dan King's company. The A/C repair was expensive but I have no idea what the comparison would have been with another company. Dan King Company was able to come the same day I called them, Jim did get my system working-just in the nick of time too because temperatures hiked up for the Memorial Day holiday weekend and I would have been miserable. I opted for their contract program because it wound up costing less than if I hadn't. So far so good, my system is now working well.

My technician was not complete about the system that I had. The region where he previously worked didn't use systems like the one I had. Bottom line I paid for services that I really didn't need. All I need was my pilot light lit. This simple problem cost me almost $500.00.

We call DK/Ben Franklin Plumbing on a Friday to install new faucet/drain in our new kitchen sink. We were scheduled the next day with a 6 hour window which we chose b/c the work had to get done. They arrived at the begin of the window and the job was done within a few hours. The price was comparable to others companies.
