Emergency AC repair in Wheeling - multiple issues fixed. Called North Star Saturday night when our air conditioning quit during the heat wave. Omar came out to our Wheeling home and found several problems - burned wire, bad capacitor, and faulty contactor. Plus we were low on Freon. Omar walked me through each issue and showed me the burned wire that caused the shutdown. He had all the parts on his truck and handled the repairs systematically. Replaced the capacitor and contactor, fixed the wiring, and topped off the Freon. Took about 60 minutes total. What impressed me was how Omar explained what went wrong and answered my questions without any pressure tactics. He clearly knew HVAC repair inside and out. System’s been running solid since the emergency repair. Nice to find a local company that actually shows up for weekend service calls and fixes things right. Noticed they also handle heating installation and air duct cleaning, which is helpful for future maintenance needs. Definitely calling North Star again for any HVAC work. Omar earned our business with professional service when we needed it most.

Awful customer service. Not transparent. I believe he installed a used part in my furnace and over-charged for the part and the time. They Never sent a receipt as promised. Very Unprofessional, My furnace not working as it used too. I won’t be calling them anymore. Be warned!

The evaporator fan motor on our older A/C unit died during a heat wave. We were considering purchasing a new system, Sam and his crew came quickly and installed a temporary fan motor while we did our homework on a new system. That is GOOD customer service!

Assad (sp)? was the technician that cleaned my dryer vent. There was a birds nest in the outside vent of my house. So crazy. He did a wonderful job. He recommended cleaning my air ducts so he did that also. Very respectful young man. He worked by himself and was very efficient. I would recommend this company to anyone.
