I have a cigar lounge in Torrance. After getting a few quotes I choseCalifornia Air conditioning Systems, and I’m so glad I did. They provided a fair quote and provided pictures of some of their work. Once agreed on a price, they began work on the next business was day. They sent pictures of their progress and communicated throughout the entire process. What was most impressive….. they left my attic cleaner than it was before they started working. They cleaned up at the conclusion of each days work.

If you’re looking for qualified friendly professionals at the top of their game, look no further. Absolutely impressed with the quick and knowledgeable communication I had with Harry and crew. I hired them to remove a double sided heater. The two men crew were absolutely delightful and efficient. They cleaned up and finished in no time. I met Harry Irving when he came out to give me an estimate for a new heating system. He very professional. I was looking forward to doing business his company. Having just put a new roof on my house, I was work with a tight budget and had to make other choices. However; Harry gave me some great expert advice. He recommended that I put solar heating panels in my attic to help cooled and make sure my attic did not cause me future problems from moisture buildup. I Greatly appreciated him for his professional advise and service. I would recommend him in the future I give him five stars for his professionalism and his service.

I had a mini split A/C system that wasn’t blowing cold. The tech found a loose connection and filled the system with refrigerant. He checked the unit thoroughly to make sure everything was in order. The tech was super professional, on time, and thorough. I really appreciated him sharing all the info that left me feeling more informed about my system.

Our gas furnace failed and a family member recommended California Air-Conditioning Systems. They responded immediately and diagnosed the problem efficiently. It took approximately 10 days to receive the necessary parts and the technician was scheduled the following day. He performed the necessary repairs most professionally. We were charged $590 for labor, $665 for parts and $130 truck charge.

I'm writing to praise the excellent service we received for our new AC replacement. The sales representative, Harry, was really knowledgeable and patient, explaining all our options and helping us choose the right Air Conditioning System for our office. On installation day, the technicians, Ralph with other Techs, were punctual, professional, and worked diligently to complete the job. We ran into an unexpected issue with old platform and ductwork after starting the installation, but they quickly identified a solution and kept the project on track, pricewise and timewise. Harry and the technician Ralph explained each step in how to resolve the issue. We are extremely satisfied with the new unit's performance, and we would highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with California Air Conditioning Systems was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others. Back in late 2024, I hired them for what was supposed to be routine HVAC maintenance at my house. Instead, their technician caused an electrical short that damaged my equipment, ultimately resulting in thousands of dollars in losses. Accidents happen, but what followed was pure negligence. Despite multiple attempts to have them come back out, they failed to take responsibility or fix the damage they caused. I was left dealing with the consequences — out of pocket and without resolution. By January 2025, I had given up on them, and I ended up hiring another HVAC company. It took the other HVAC company multiple trips and several weeks to track down all the issues. In the end, I had to pay for a new smart thermostat, zoning controls and other equipment, and many hours of labor reprogramming my system and schedules. By around March 2025, everything was back up and running after months of headache and several thousand dollars in costs, but I was ready to just move on with my life. To make matters worse, in April 2025, after over 4 months of radio silence from them, they had the audacity to send me an invoice for the service that caused the damage. I naturally refused to pay, and they sued me in small claims court. I didn’t want to go through the headache and time of court, so I even offered them a settlement which they rejected. So, I counter-sued, and I’m glad I did. The judge ruled in my favor and awarded me almost $2,000 in damages. Not enough to cover my actual repair costs, but I guess it’s still something for all my troubles. Now I just have to collect. California Air Conditioning Systems demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and integrity. If you're looking for reliable HVAC service, look elsewhere — this experience was a nightmare from start to finish.

California Air Conditioning Systems are extremely professionals, this is our experience working with Harry and team, we are pleased to find a professional technician in AC, in the past we have been working with someone who only repair and do not maintain the unit in good shape, they just showed up to fix and leave right away, but this is my experience in the past. Now we are using California Air Conditioning System for maintenance and repair our AC units, Harry has the knowledge and he provided the best quality with pictures and videos , before and after complete his work. Harry showed up on time, he clean the AC unit, duct, we can see and feel the difference before and after, now we have clean and cool air. I had smoke or steam coming out of my condenser I had no idea if it was electrical and was going to blow up or it was something else. I called a few companies and no one was available. Harry went above and beyond to come out and make sure I was safe and determine the issue with the condenser. I highly recommend him. So glad I found him 🙏.

Mr. Harry Irvine inspected my Cozy wall furnace at 4 PM during a holiday weekend. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He is a specialist for vintage Cozy and Williams wall furnaces. There is not an HVAC contractor in Los Angeles County, who is as knowledgeable as him. If you live in an apartment building and have an older wall furnace that needs maintenance, he is the only go to person. I only wish I found him sooner.

So honest and so helpful! Harry was knowledgeable, went over all the options with me, and had so much integrity. He could’ve made money off me but instead chose to be up front, saying that the cost might not be worth it and maybe the best course for me was to buy a new unit. So few businesses would do that these days. That level of honesty bought a customer for life. Cannot recommend him enough!!!

About 2.5 years ago, I incurred a significant expense to replace my HVAC system. I visited Home Depot and was scheduled with their contractor for installation, which was completed and appeared to function properly over the past couple years. However, in mid-July, my system experienced a sudden failure, abruptly turning on and then shutting off without any discernible cause. After exhausting my efforts to locate a contractor in Torrance who was available same day, I discovered Harry Irvine of California Air Conditioning Systems, Inc. through my social media network. I was immensely satisfied with the service I received from Harry. Firstly, he did not require a “service fee”, unlike every other HVAC contractor I had contacted, even though they were not available until days later. Harry explained that charging a service fee is not a legal practice in California and informed me that he could come to my house to look at my unit after he completed a job nearby - He arrived the same day. Harry promptly brought his ladder into the hot attic, ascended, and diagnosed the issues! It turns out that my AC unit was not secured or “strapped” during installation, and one of the output hoses was severely kinked, causing the system to override. Additionally, the outside ground unit was installed so close to my house that there is insufficient space to service the back of the unit. Currently, I am engaged in what I hope does not turn into a legal dispute with both Home Depot and their contractor. My preferred outcome is they will accept responsibility for the shoddy and incompetent work and pay Harry to correct their work. If you seek honest and straightforward HVAC expertise, I highly recommend Harry Irvine. Henceforth, I will exclusively engage Harry’s services for all my HVAC needs. He is a reliable and trustworthy individual who will provide exceptional service.Highly recommend!

Good communicator, knowledgeable and trustworthy! Harry was able to come repair my AC on short notice and was very communicative via text to schedule the time and keeping me updated of his ETA. My AC stopped producing cold air and Harry was able to thoroughly diagnose the problems and show them to me. I didn’t get any hint of an attempt to upsell me on anything so I felt I could trust that Harry was giving me an honest assessment of the problems. The service and parts replacement he did on my AC to restore it to functioning condition was fairly priced.

We purchased an air conditioner from California Air Conditioning Systems in 2020 and I’m pleased with unit. It needed repair in September 2024 and the repairs were done by them. I was told I would be billed for the repairs. The company had my name, address, phone number and email address. I hadn’t received any bill for repairs that were completed in September but on December 11, 2024, I received a phone call from an angry staff woman claiming they were going to sue me and my tenant (where unit was installed and repaired) by Friday if I didn’t pay the outstanding bill. I explained I hadn’t received a bill. She screamed bill was sent via email. I asked her what email and she gave me the email that was on the unit purchase agreement from 2020. My email had changed 2 years ago (2022). I was never asked for email address when repairs were done in 2024, but she had my address and current phone number. She could have called phone number when the email was rejected/kicked back and I would have gladly given her my current email address. Meanwhile I agreed to pay bill as I knew it was owed and told her I hadn’t received any billing. I was charged for repairs (fair) but she added late fees, interest and processing fees. She had some culpability in the mix up and never would admit her negligence. I admit I should have called and asked where bill was as it was 3 months since service. Adding the late fees plus interest was vindictive and not called for. Never should a customer be screamed at and threatened to be taken to court. The air conditioner is great; no complaints but the customer service was surprisingly poor. Thanks for allowing me to relate this incident. It was totally unnecessary and uncalled experience. UPDATE; 4/19/2025 I have never heard from the owner who said he would contact me after reading my review. (See above review) We were charged: Late Fee-$89.00, Interest &13.75 and Processing Fee $45.86. Your gracious employee threatened to take us to court if we did not pay via credit card on 12/11/24. That processing fee was due to using Discover card. We owed for the service but we were gouged for the fees when your lovely receptionist failed to update my email when sending the bill. You should live up to your word and make contact when you say you will. Hire personnel that are respectful with customers. I’m hoping to hear from the owner like I was promised. UPDATE: 8/11/2025 🤮🤢 I never heard from the owner as he promised to contact me after my original post regarding being gouged with late fees, processing fees for using credit card for payment. The employee was rude, disrespectful and wouldn’t admit she could have billed me using my updated email and bill would have been paid. The owner responded, apologized for his employee and said he would contact me. That was a LIE; he never reached out to contact me. As I said before the a/c unit is ok but has needed repairs 2 times since purchased in 2020. I will never utilized CA Air Conditioning Systems again for purchase or repairs. Easy fix, owner should have lived up to his promise. All talk and no action to look good on the website. Update 8/13/2025 I have heard from owner, Harry Irvine, and he was most gracious and apologized for his previous employee’s behavior. He is definitely a ‘man of his word’ and I’m very appreciative. I will now continue to use his company and services and highly recommend them. As I had said before, our A/C unit purchased in 2020 is great. Thank you, Mr. Irvine.

Harry didn’t actually fix my Williams wall heater, but I wished he did. It was clear from my first conversation with them that he was an expert in furnaces. Unfortunately, he was out of my service area, but he went to great lengths to help me diagnose my problem over the phone. I called him a few times while another HVAC technician was there, while he walk him through what to look for. It was a great demonstration of his character and expertise in being willing to help with no financial gain. Harry is definitely the guy I would with if he served my area. Thanks Harry!

Harry and Jesus were excellent. They identified many problems with my A/C and fixed them. They went over and above my expectations cleaning both the air handler and compressor, checking the heater and unclogging the pump. I would recommend them to anyone in need of A/C service.
