Carey was responsive, professional, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the whole process of replacing our aging oil-fired boiler. He came out to help us debug a problem that had persisted through three other service providers being unable to fix, let alone properly diagnose. We had persistently low hot water pressure and the temperature could no longer be adjusted. He took time to describe the issue and the options for fixing it. We opted for a full replacement, but never felt pressured to do so. Our low hot water pressure has been resolved, we can set the temperature appropriately now, and we have peace of mind that we have 20+ years ahead of us of reliable hot water and heat. We'll be going with them in the future for our annual service needs. They were the best price, most responsive, and most knowledgeable of the three providers we called for quotes for this major project. Definitely give them a call!

Tenant felt like the heater wasn't working properly. Called Hurley Mechanical to come take a look. They came out the next day, which was great, but never called me (the landlord) like they were supposed to. I received a bill for $280 for a diagnostic fee a few days later. I asked my tenant if they came out and he said they were there for 15 minutes and said the filter just needed to be changed, of which I already had extra filters there. When I called about the high price of the bill, they said that's their diagnostic fee. Had I known ahead of time, I would not have used them. I have a bunch of properties and have paid plenty of diagnostic fees. Like in the $80-120 range. That's way too high. I'm giving three stars, because they got me on the books quick and did good service for me in the past. But this kind of pricing is ridiculous for nothing wrong. ***** Amending this review. Carry, the owner, reviewed this transaction and called me to explain how a mistake was made and that I was accidentally charged double. He promptly refunded me the appropriate amount and apologized for the mistakes and said he would talk with his staff about proper procedures moving forward. I'm switching from 3-5 stars, because I do believe Carry and his team do excellent work, and I appreciate his professionalism and willingness to work with his customers.

Since moving to Pittsfield in June 2025 I have had some issues with the boiler and heating system, and Hurley Mechanicals has become my go-to company for help. They have answered my calls promptly, and I've gotten same-day service every time. The tech who's come, Jesse, is great and has been immensely helpful. I would highly recommend Hurley Mechanicals for heating and cooling needs.

We worked with Hurley on installation of mini splits. They did a great job and we would totally recommend them. They helped us with paperwork as well as with operating the equipment. We're super happy.

When our heating stopped working, technicians Jesse and Chris came out late on a Saturday afternoon and quickly identified the root cause of the problem. They even provided a temporary fix on the same day, which we really appreciated given the timing. The owner, Carry, was incredibly helpful and professional. He recommended a thermostat that would be fully compatible with our system and made sure to schedule a service appointment that fit our availability. On the day of the appointment, Carry came in person to supervise his team and ensure everything was done correctly. Thanks to their expertise and attention to detail, we now have a permanent solution and our system is running perfectly. I had service for a stuck in- line filter. The casing was quickly removed and straight piped back together. All told it took Jesse about an hour to get us back in service. Thanks for your help and I’d highly recommend Hurley for your plumbing needs

Excellent experience with Hurley from start to finish. They clearly communicated when they could come and in the end were able to come sooner. They took care of the issue with my 25 year old furnace again clearly communicating what had caused the issue, how it was resolved and what I could do to avoid it in the future and the price, also clearly communicated ahead of time, was spot on. I will definitely call this company again.

We had an emergency with our hot water heater and they came out the same day. The problem was stabilized and they came back the next day to replace the heater. Carey and Jessie were very pleasant despite the job being very complicated. Amazing, dependable service. Will call again for our HVAC needs.

I recently had Hurley Mechanical install a new heat pump and Air handler at my new home, and I’m really happy with the whole experience. The team arrived on time which tends to not happen with HVAC companies these days. They finished the job in a timely fashion as well. They were super knowledgeable about Fujitsu mini splits and helped me understand how they would help reduce my carbon footprint. It’s great to know I’m making a more environmentally friendly choice for my heating and cooling. What really stood out was how respectful and friendly the technicians were. They made sure to keep everything tidy while working and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. I had a great experience with Hurley Mechanical this morning. When Jessie showed up is was like having a friend help out. He would answer any Question I had and was very polite. I would highly recommend them. I will call them again!!! If I could I would give them more then 5 stars.....

Carey has come through so much for me. I had a problem with my heat and tried every plumbing/heating business in the city and none of them ever even got back to me. But he did. He came right down and fixed up everything so I could finally use my heat again. Then my gas oven stopped working. He showed me what part to buy and then when the part came he installed it for free. Without him I still wouldn't have heat and would have probably ended up having to buy a new oven. He's by far the best in the city. And my 5 year was quite impressed with him too lol. Thankyou again!

These guys saved my butt. Couldn't find anyone else to even come look at my old oil furnace, but these guys sent someone out at 6pm on a Friday and not only fixed the furnace but gave me some tips on maintaining it. Also very reasonable pricing. Highly recommended.

Wonderful overall experience. Clean and professional, communicative before, during and after, as well as polite repeated explanations due to our endless questions. Follow up care included phone calls to assess our happiness with the new system as well as repeated instructions of how to set the system for best efficiency. They're awesome here and their pricing was good (I had gotten a quote from another place before them) my heater stopped working and they were so quick to fix it they came that night!! The guy that came was so nice too I highly recommend this place.
