Matt and Cheryl are two of the most customer-service conscious people that I have worked with.  We initially contacted them when our original Budget Blinds franchise went out of business, and we were in need of warranty service. <br /> They were instantly accommodating, even when we hadn't made the original purchase from them. They provided prompt, efficient no-charge warranty service, and when we next needed window treatments, they were my first call.  Ultimately Budget Blinds (Matt and Cheryl Henrikson) have been our go-to company for window treatments ever since. <br /> We first purchased from them for our entire office several years ago, and now that our home treatments are beginning to fail after 12 years, have just ordered the third room in our home from them. <br />

Sloppy, DANGEROUS work. Buyer beware! Anchor Water Restoration likes to say they go the extra mile, but when confronted with a job thats too much for them to handle they would rather cut corners than be honest with the customer. I hired Anchor Water Damage restoration in April 2021 to clean up mold from a plumbing leak behind an interior wall in my home. This wasnt a big project, but since the moldy drywall was behind a built-in bookshelf and cabinets, I wanted to hire a pro with experience restoring my home to its original condition. We had agreed on a scope of work: Anchor would set up a containment to isolate the work site from the rest of the house. They would move the cabinetry out of the way, remove the contaminated drywall behind the cabinetry, then clean up the exposed wall cavity. Once that was done, I would be responsible for repairing the leak (I hired a plumber) and putting up new drywall. Anchor, as a courtesy to me, agreed to repaint the wall and put the cabinets back once the work site passed the mold clearance test. From the beginning I had been telling them that what concerned me the most about the job was the movement and relocation of the cabinetry. Once onsite, a team of two technicians made quick work of the demolition, mold removal and surface cleaning. Moving the cabinetry, though, turned out to be a challenge for them. At one point they dropped one of the cabinet pieces, damaging it in the process. By the end of the first day they had completed most of the cleanup and left an air scrubber and dehumidifier running at the job site. Less than a week later, the two technicians returned after the clearance test to pick up their air scrubber and dehumidifier. They also wanted the rest of the money for the job. Since the balance wasnt payable until they had finished putting the cabinets back, they agreed to come back after the drywall was replaced to finish the job. That happened the next day. On the last day of the project, only one technician shows up to the job site. The battery on his cordless drill dies and he forgets his charger (among other tools), so he has to borrow a screwdriver, a ladder and a step stool from me just to finish the job. Once he had left, I noticed that the cabinets hanging on the wall seemed wobbly and unstable. I was shocked and appalled to find that, rather than re-attaching the cabinets to the wall, the technician instead drove only a few screws into them to give the illusion they were properly mounted. One cabinet in particular wasnt mounted to the wall AT ALL it was simply hanging on to an adjacent bookshelf with two screws! Had I put any weight on these cabinets (like books), the cabinets would have collapsed causing serious injury to me or someone else. I could certainly understand it if Anchor would have approached me and said that putting the cabinets back was a little more than they could handle. That would have been the honorable thing to do. Instead, Anchor chose to finish the job in an unsafe and irresponsible manner. I did try to call the owner of the company to discuss this matter prior to posting this review, but he was unavailable for comment. Two Anchor representatives did apologize to me for the shoddy workmanship putting the cabinets back. While they acknowledged that the work replacing the cabinets was done wrong, Anchor did not take any responsibility for what they did, minimizing the incompetent work as simply a courtesy. I would not hire them again.
