This company is ripping people off and ripped off my 95 year old mother. Her a/c quit and to come out it would be an xtra $50 (total $109) if she wanted them now or $50 less if she could wait 2 days...Really?? Then, they replaced a $30 capacitor and charged her almost $600. I called my a/c company and it would be $149 total. Unreal

On their website, Cooper claims to be a company that values being "accurate with expectations and deliver what is promised". I'm sad to say they miss the mark in a major way. We've spent probably $40K with Cooper on several big projects. On the most recent one, their sales person provided us an estimate that listed three separate rebates for a total of $2500. However, when the project was complete, we only received $2000 in rebates. When I asked the sales person about this, he acknowledged this was his miscommunication, but would not honor the additional $500. I even have an email exchange between us where I ask him to verify all three of those rebates will happen, and he wrote me back to confirm we'd "receive the incentives". To have them NOT value us as customers or the expectations they clearly set is just sad. I go into every working relationship like this trusting that the person on the other side is trustworthy and dependable. The sales person even acknowledged that this was his miscommunication and the company still won't fulfill the expectations they created.

Called the company and they told us the furnace codes we had flashing were emergent and they recommended they come out same day. I paid $189 trip charge and was told it would need a new motherboard. 2.5 days later I still had not heard back on the timeframe or pricing for repair, making me question the validity of the urgency to begin with. Finally after three calls on my part, the customer service people initially not having clarity on what part was even needed, a tech who I was assured was senior in ranking and was ready to take care of the issue, was scheduled to come out to fix the issue at an agreed price of $359 for the proper part and labor with a $100 discount for inconvenience. He arrived, fixed the control switch and came back up to tell me the issue was not the control switch, but rather the mother board. I explained how I already knew this from the tech on Saturday and was very confused as to how he was not aware, further making me question what was communicated from the beginning and wondering how I could know the part but they did not. He said he needed to make a phone call because he was also confused. When he returned it was with a revised price of around $1150. I expressed my frustration and explained how I had already waited four days and wasted the first part of my week when I could have been getting other estimates. I told him I wanted to talk to his manager and he told me his manager would be waiting for my call because he warned him I would be upset. The manager was extremely rude and frustrated and told me he didn't know what happened but I would need to pay the full price if I wanted it fixed today. After clarifying that this mistake was not mine, he told me if I agreed to have it done today only, he would do it for $1000. I said I needed to call my husband and he proceeded to tell me sarcastically that it was not life or death and I could take my time. I eventually declined and called to inform them and never heard anything back. This company is terrible, doesn’t care about customers, and has zero communication and customer service skills. The manager I spoke with was not interested in rectifying the mistake or even apologizing for what happened.

It went very well.

Caleb and Bret did an amazing job! I would highly recommend them. Needed new wiring for adding 2 split lights in master bathroom. They did a perfect job cutting new holes, patching old hole and mounting the new lights. They also replaced light switches, and broken outlets. They cleaned up afterwards, were super friendly and had extreme attention to details.

Cameron did a great job. Scheduled and completed the work quickly. Installation cost was in-line with estimate. No last minute surprises or extra charges. Quality of work was very good and maintenance of new equipment was explained well. I’d use Cooper again.

James and associate were thorough and fixed a panel wire that had arc due to a house inspector who broke several items in our home. They also corrected polarity on one of our GFCI's that wasn't properly grounded, and covered some wiring boxes inside our walls. Thought the total was reasonable as they examined two interior panel boxes, spent time checking wiring on both of our jetted tubs, fixed an outdoor low voltage transformer that the house inspector had broke, and covered some wiring boxes that had been inside walls without covers.

I was very impressed by the level of technical expertise of the staff. Cooper gave us the most competitive quote on the job and the technician Corey was friendly and helpful. Later that week, Corey and his colleague came out and worked through the oddities of our old home to get the job done. A couple of days later, we ran into an issue, and they came out the same day and fixed it free of charge which we were very grateful for considering the issue was the result of a condensation hose that was oddly installed by the previous owners. We've had a few HVAC people over at our place and a rental this fall, but we were extremely happy with the service we received from Cooper and will use them exclusively in the future.

Great. I actually called Cooper again for air conditioning problems

Jim was our lead electrician and he set the tone: On time, on budget, and very professional. He did a great job. Communication from Jim was great - a big thing for me. We have one outstanding issue (special circuit breakers needed to ordered), but Jim was on top of it. Our finished electrical work was done well. Very pleased. A rating. YES, we would hire Coopers (and have Jim do the install) again.

Both repaired satisfactorily

This is a new home, on warranty. I called them Friday night, late. They called early Saturday morning and came right over. The problem was a needed computer update which Javier did immediately, showed me everything and explained everything.

⎌Installation was done in a reasonable amount of time. Technician spent time afterward explaining operation and answering all of our questions.

They did a good job. After they left, my neighbor smelled gas. The utility company found a leak where they did not tighten one of the connections properly. I called them to tell them about this and they said they would pass it on to the top. I never got a call back from them however. The utility company, Excel, took care of the leak and it all turned out okay.

They are good, professional, prompt and I like the service.

The heater was installed to work with the existing humidifier that the same company installed several years ago. Everything works fine. The men cleaned up after themselves. Caution was given that the small space did not meet codes but the county inspecter agreed this could not be corrected and passed it since the nearest appliance was made more mobile to allow room to work. The rebate from the power utility came when promised. A new thermostat was also installed that works with both the furnace and the humidifier.

They are fabulous, they install the furnace and AC with a notice ahead of time and did a good job.

Excellent and fast service. Not the cheapest option, but they were extremely thorough. And they didn't charge me to come out and see what I needed. Meanwhile, one highly rated company, which I found via Angie's List, gave me an absurdly expensive proposal.

Their website said free estimates. There was no fine print. When I called to confirm the appointment, I was told it would cost $189 just to come out. Free only applies to estimates for new units. I asked what they charge for adding Freon and was told that only the service tech can provide an estimate. Shady, since they work off of a fixed price list. They added Freon (add $493) including a leak seal (add $345). They were not able to identify the source of the Freon leak. They recommended a new AC unit at roughly $5500. They are just another HVAC company out there overcharging consumers.

We had a leak in our sink that was unfixable, so we purchased a new one and had Cooper Heating and Cooling come do the install. They were fast, professional, and extremely honest! I would definitely recommend them again.
