The entire team at Front Range Mechanical Services were knowledgeable, professional, and delivered high quality services. We hired FRMS to do routine furnace maintenance and to install a whole house humidifier. Steve, the owner, spent extra time explaining options and how everything will work. His team showed up on time, provided an estimated time for completion, and finished on time. I strongly recommend FRMS to anyone looking for a fair price, great service, and excellent customer service.

I don’t normally write reviews but I have to let folks know that this group is fantastic. I’ve now had my AC unit replaced (2 years ago) and they just came out to fix my old furnace. Their pricing is totally fair (had comparison for both jobs) and I cannot say enough good things about their team. Dave, in particular, was patient with my questions and clear with what was going on and what needed to be done. I cannot recommend them enough, you should definitely call them if you need anything done. They will be my only call moving forward.

We were referred to Front Range Mechanical Services by a friend and we were VERY PLEASED with the experience! We called another company first and received an incredibly high estimate and were charged a trip fee for that other company to come out so we reached out to Front Range Mechanical Services for a second opinion. Steve (The Owner) came out to speak with us, he had done his research on our property, and educated us on the options available to us. He provided a quote (MUCH more competitive than the initial company we called) but let us know that our furnace was 28 years old. (The previous company did not even mention this.) From there, Steve walked us through the different manufacturers, technologies, efficiencies, etc. so we had a good baseline understanding. No high pressure sales tactics, just a genuine person and company trying to help the every day person. Not only did they have the materials and equipment IN STOCK but their team was early to the appointment window and were incredibly courteous. Overall an incredible experience and very competitively priced. I would highly recommend Front Range Mechanical Services to anyone of my friends and family.

2023 update - New furnace install Since I was so pleased with the AC installed in 2018 and this year I needed a new furnace, I called Front Range Mechanical for a quote. I made an appointment for a Thursday for someone to do the required review of my home to decide which furnace suits my house.. Quote reasonable for a high end energy efficient furnace. The furnace was installed the following Tuesday, took only a few hours, even with the crawl space location. If pay by check, rather than credit card, the credit card fee that would have been paid is deducted from the total. Front Range Mechanical is fair, hones, and has professional, knowledgeable and courteous technicians. Furnace works great. Very pleased. 2018 - New AC install I recently contacted several companies for quotes after my AC stopped working. I chose Front Range Mechanical Services. Reasons: The owner Steve Korff is an engineer, had thoroughly researched my home before our meeting, gave me an honest review of my home's AC and heating needs and gave me a reasonable quote for a AC system. Furnace did not need replacing at this time. The AC is highly rated and has an excellent 10 year warranty. Technicians are certified. After the install, I contacted the office to tell them how pleased I was and found out that they do maintenance checks on water heaters. Mine was never checked so I requested that a technician do that and someone was here the next day. I highly recommend Front Range Mechanical Services.

We had Front Range install a new HVAC system in our house and we were extremely happy with their service. Steve was great to work with on the quote and all of his recommendations for what we needed. He took the time to explain everything and answer every question we had. We felt their price was very competitive. And their crew was extremely efficient and very respectful of our house while doing the install. And at the end of the day Walt took a lot of time to explain everything to us and gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do to make the most of our new system. This company was great for five plus years when Dominic came to service my HVAC. Last year, the owner came to quote me a new HVAC system for a different condo unit I purchased and when I didn't hire him they ghosted me. I called them about a furnace emergency in my current home (the one they've been servicing since 2019) and they didn't even reply. No longer recommend.

Nothing but good things to say from the first phone call to schedule the service, to the tech arriving. Our A/C was failing to do what an A/C should do ... make cold air. The tech arrived on time, was friendly from the get-go, addressed the issue quickly, replaced the broken part in minutes, and confirmed that the system was working as intended again. Even gave us some tips on what we should look for and how to avoid potential future issues. Will definitely be calling and scheduling with the company again to service our furnace later this year. Very satisfied.

We decided to go from a swamp cooler to air conditioner, got 5 or 6 quotes and decided to go with Front Range. Steve came out to give us our quote and took the time to walk us through the entire process, pros & cons of switching. His honesty and the time he took with us is the main reason we chose Front Range. Cost was also a factor but for us, it was secondary. His guys were amazing. They even came back out a week later to fix a couple of things with our furnace per our contract. Super nice people, very honest, and they do good work. Steve won't do you wrong. I highly recommend Steve and his guys. 01.20.19 UPDATE: Our hot water heater was about to go so I called Steve. He gave me a quote for a new tank and install with code updates. The guys came out and completed the job in 2-3 hours. We now have the hottest water we've ever had in our home. My husband and I highly recommend Front Range Mechanical Services. Steve is honest and fair and everyone on his team is friendly, respectful and they know what they're doing!

We went with Steve and Front Range Mechanical after getting three bids from very reputable companies in town. Steve was very informative and explained the differences in systems the best. We are really happy with our new system, it works seamlessly so far. The entire team is incredible, I can’t say enough good things about this company. Really happy with the Amana heat pump and high efficiency furnace, quality products installed professionally.

Since my first review below, I am modifying it as the heating portion of the HVAC system that we had put in has been nothing but problems from bad wiring causing short outs to dust ball that was blamed on a manufacturing defect to short heat cycling that kept shutting off the furnace to now it NOT working at all. I can understand one or two problems but this unit is only about three years old and has been a constant problem and really is a piece of crap. While the installation was as outlined below, the quality of furnace is 1 (one) star so hence changed my rating to three stars. Our HVAC system needing evaluation because the A/C was not functioning properly. When I called, FRMS promptly sent Dom out to inspect/evaluate. He gave an honest assessment of repair vs replacement. Given our system was 18 years old, we elected to replace. What was even more impressive was that they were able to schedule me sooner than expected given the pandemic and supply chain issues. The owner, Steve, even called me to work with me to get our house up and running as quickly as possible. I really appreciate that fact that the owner takes pride is his company to oversee various aspects of the customer experience. The installation went as about as textbook quality as you would expect from a 5 star business....arrival on time, professional, took care in laying down tarps, cleanup, minimal disruption, no short cuts. I am fairly familiar with mechanical items in a house after watching most work done in my parents house growing up as well as having do deal with various contractors in the past. FRM ranks as one of the best in the business and I would not go with any other when it comes to HVAC. They proudly stand by their work and said they always have someone on call to fix ANY issues no matter when. The technicians they sent out clearly love their work and the quality of the install is readily apparent as I inspected it after it was completed. When friends ask me who to recommend, I only recommend if I am absolutely confident in who I recommend so my bar is high and FRM is clearly a company I would recommend. Thanks for a great job.

Steve and his team of technicians were all great! They installed a new furnace and full house humidifier for us. They were flexible with scheduling, came up to install in deep snow, very professional, did a great job working with a tight space, cleaned everything up when they left. On top of that their price was fair and they have a 10year parts and labor warranty on the system! We were incredibly impressed with everything!

I checked out many companies (including the Home Depot contractors) and prices when my water heater went out. Steve's price was very reasonable and his customer service was great. He returned calls, emails, and kept the schedule he said he was going to keep. Don't get a water heater installed until you get a quote from him. I'm a stickler and have never endorsed a services company but felt compelled to do so with Front Range Mechanical.

This company installed our A/C Unit in 2017, so when our pipes started freezing up, I figured I would give them the first crack at it. The tech came out and told us it would be $1500 to take apart the furnace and clean it, and that it wasn't worth it. That we should pony up for a new $6-$7K furnace. I know a sales pitch when I hear it. I reached out to some friends in the industry and they both relayed that there is rarely a reason to replace a furnace for A/C issues. We got the furnace taken apart and cleaned for a couple hundred bucks. A/C is cranking. Beware of these types of shady practices.

We recently had FRMS replace the furnace and install AC into a home we purchased. We got quotes from about 7 different companies and contractors in the area, and FRMS was by far the highest quality experience from end to end. Steve (the owner) showed up with documents and specific research about my house. He spent the time to walk me through what his recommendation was, why he was recommending it, and the engineering considerations he weighed when making the decision. He also went through the options we had for equipment, with pros and cons, as well as his experience with each company throughout his lengthy career in the field. On the day of the installation, Steve's team showed up on time, prepared, and with a clear understanding of what they were doing for my house. There was no stress or extra effort on my part to make sure the work was being done correctly and to the specifications we decided on. The crew that showed up was also incredible. They were well staffed - not 2 people sprinting through the work to get it done. The work was completed ahead of schedule, and even included extra things that were not originally scoped in our quote because it was the right thing to do. The quality of the work is excellent. No cut corners or shortcuts were taken. The work looks great, is done beyond the requirements for code, and is going to last a long time. The price wasnt the lowest quote we received, but it also wasn't the highest and the equipment installed (Amana) is much higher quality than what the other quotes in a similar price range were offering. The company provides a service warranty for their work, and have been around long enough to prove they stand by it. All throughout the project they reiterated to me to not hesistate to call if I needed anything. Quality and care throughout the whole process. I'll recommend them to everyone I know.

We called Front Range Mechanical because 15 years ago they did an awesome job installing our furnace at a different house. This time was different… technician 1 came and diagnosed our furnace with a pressure switch that wasn’t functioning. 3 days later our furnace is not working again. Turns out the old switch was fine (after using a multimeter and testing ourselves). Technician 2 diagnosed a failed board; however, the 120 volt igniter was NOT installed that came with the board per the board instructions. Furnace failed again 3 days later. Luckily for us we can read instructions and purchased the appropriate igniter and are back up and running. We’ll be calling elsewhere next time we need furnace assistance. Very disappointing.

I have had the opportunity to talk with Steve and Dominic. Both very honest knowledgeable men. Dominic has been out to several of my rental properties with short notice when there was no heat!! Not a fun call to receive from a tenant. 100% of the time, Dominic has been able to make the repair quickly at a fair price. Anytime I have a question for him he is patient, kind, and will to go the extra mile! I have had some issues with other HVAC contractors. Front Range Mechanical and Dominic now have all of my business for life! I am blessed to have met them.

We had our old HVAC replaced 2 years ago by Front Range. They went out of their way to get the high efficiency furnace we wanted to work with the particular difficulties our older home presented. They also thoroughly explained the balance of getting a higher efficiency AC system vs the higher cost. Another company might have tried to get us to go for the most extremely efficient AC, specially considering our interest in that direction, which would have been excessive for Colorado climate. Today we called because our outside unit stopped working. They made it out the same day and fixed the problem, which was covered by our warranty. Dominick was quick, through, friendly, and gave good maintenance advice. He also wore a mask and maintained social distancing. I would recommend Front Range Mechanical to any of my friends and family.

Jeff is AMAZING! I needed a furnace repair and I had an idea of what may be wrong with it but I did not want to make the problem worse after a (what appeared to be expensive) failed attempt at resolving the issue myself. I called to get something scheduled within the week, the repair was scheduled for the same day - in 2 hours after my call. In fact, Jeff got to my home an hour early. He was knowledgeable, quick, friendly, but I think the best thing about him was it felt like he listened to me. As a homeowner, I tend to try and fix things myself to save a few bucks. I try to research and do my best so by the time [if] I need to call someone, I have tried several things and I can relay the information I have to whomever is helping me. Sometimes, I feel that my information is discarded due to me just being the customer which I can understand. However, that was not the case with Jeff. He listened, educated me on what went wrong and why, and also helped me confidently know what to look for when I am trying to self-diagnose if there is a next time. Gas and electricity are NOT things I will ever feel comfortable with DIY'ing so while the repair would have been cheaper myself, honestly, the peace of mind and getting someone with training not from a Youtube video is worth the minor upcharge; the price was still within reason. I called this company on a random Google search; they were local and in business for a long time with good ratings. Going forward, I will only be calling this company for all of my heating/cooling things!! Great job!

Steve Korff and his team installed my system (furnace and A/C) 10 years ago. I paid a bit more than other quotes but have never been happier. In my book you need quality equipment and quality people with solid values. A business needs both or they will fail if they only have 1 of the 2. I had 2 maintenance issues directly related to me as a homeowner. Instead of a $300 service call or whatever companies charge now; Barbara walked me through both issues over the phone and taught me maintenance practices and remedies which was extremely valuable. Their counsel fixed my issue both times and at no cost to me. Their values run deeply through their company. They always get my recommendation and referrals. If i could give them 10 stars I would. The BEST contractors I've ever worked with!!! Steve and team provided incredible service while maintaining the upmost integrity. I highly recommend these guys - they truly care about getting the job done right and ensuring you're satisfied with their work. Over the past year, Front Range Mechanical Services installed a new furnace and water heater in my house. In both situations they went above and beyond to ensure everything was working well and up to code. (I have an old house that has not been properly managed to say the least). This included making minor updates to things not directly related to the appliance they were replacing to get the house up to code. This type of service is unheard of and super appreciated!

I have been using FRMS for a couple years and they’ve always been courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. This past week however, they went above and beyond. We were just home from the hospital with our newborn when the heat went out in the middle of the night in 15 degree weather. The FRMS team moved around schedules and sent Jeff over to diagnose the issue on a Thursday afternoon. Knowing that we wouldn’t have heat overnight as the temperature continued to drop, Jeff gave us space heaters (this was so kind), came back first thing Friday morning, and had the heat back on within an hour. Jeff was great this is a very trustworthy group (Barbara and Steve are also super helpful)- I will continue giving them my business whenever needed.

From now on, Front Range Mechanical will be the only place I call when I need HVAC services! I discovered my furnace bypass humidifier was leaking and called FRMS to come fix it. Dominick came out and was 5-star from the start to the finish. He was professional, courteous, honest, and skillful. He fixed only what was broken instead of replacing the whole humidifier unit (the original plan), which ended up saving me a few hundred bucks. He also identified and fixed the furnace gas line that was improperly installed - by a different company - that could have started a fire. I highly recommend Dominick and Front Range Mechanical Services!
