I was very happy with not only Nathan’s work, but his friendly demeanor as well. He explained what he believed to be the best method to replace an outdated and damaged pipe and spigot. He got the work done has promised and kept be updated on the progress. I would recommend Nathan for anyone’s plumbing project.

Jay Dunbar came and worked on a leaking problem I had with my HVAC! He was very thorough, patient and knowledgeable. I could not give him anything below 5 stars. I will definitely use him again!

Outstanding service arriving on time with text updates. Bryan Garcia troubleshot an electrical issue I was having throughout my home and isolated it to an incoming electrical issue from ONCOR. One leg was receiving 120 volts and the other only 12 volts. Bryan even called ONCOR to place a work order to have this issue repaired. ONCOR arrived and now I have power throughout my home. Bryan was upfront, professional, and courteous truly a great representation of Berkey's! I will absolutely be using them again.

Job done well, but expensive.

I called them out for a leak under my kitchen cabinet. They came right away which was great but thats where the "great" ended. The guy that came out that day could not determine where the leak was coming from and informed me that he would need to send someone with extra equipment. The was going to cost $450+ for leak detection. They came back the next day and within a few minutes and with no equipment the second guy knew it was coming from the dishwasher line. Since im not using the dishwasher I had him cap it off, which appeared to stop the leak. In the meantime he insisted on inspecting all my plumbing and informed me I needed a new water heater. Their fee; a ridiculous $2500. Upon checking my meter they said is was still moving indicating I still had a leak. He said they needed to turn off my emergency shut off to be able to determine if the leak was in the house or in the yard. I did not know where my shut off was (it ended being buried a foot) so they had to send more guys out the next day to find it and they already said it would have to be replaced. This was going to cost $2100 and 'HAD' to be done to find the leak. Then if the leak was in the yard it was going to cost a total of $6000+ to replace those lines. So I paid the 2K, the guys came out the next day and replaced the shut off valve. That was 6 weeks ago and I have never heard from any of them since. I asked 3 different men if they would be coming back to once again check for the leak and they yes, another person would be coming back out to do that. It appeared that once they had my money they weren't concerned with any follow up. I had determined by that point there was no way I was going to do any more business with them so I didn't even bother contacting them. It was quite clear that all they were concerned with was FINDING everything could possibly charge me for and gouge me with their extremely high prices. I will never do business with again nor recommend this company to anyone.

I had a bathtub leak on the second floor of my house that was leaking through the downstairs patio. I called Berkeys as they were able to come out same day and take a look. The guy that came out showed up when they said they would and did an inspection stating that they would have to cut a hole in the outside ceiling and repair from under the bath tub. He described it as complex and would take a couple of guys around 4 hours to repair with a $1900 quote. It was a bit of the fear sale so we agreed. The next day 2 guys showed up during the time window and went to town. One guy sat on the bench on our patio the hole time and the other guy actually did all the work. The repair was literally right above the hole and the plumber just replace the trap from underneath. Less than 2 hours and that is being generous. Was a pretty simple fix. I get that plumbing companies need insurance and certified plumbers but $1,900 for this job is excessive and felt taken advantage of. No complaints about the quality of the work.. no complaints about the work itself.. I just felt it was describe as being this complex job that was hard to do (fear sale) and they were in and out. I responded after the job and got a call from someone at the company stating its not a time and material and fixed bid.. I was told that I don't question a surgeon when I go to the hospital how much something costs. I was told that I am penalizing/judging them for being efficient. The arrogance is something else here.. so here is the power of the reviews.. use them if you want.. the work was good.. just be prepared to pay a couple of thousand dollars per hour and deal with extreme arrogance.. I gave a 1 star for the arrogance..

These people are con artists. I called them to fixed a gas leak around a coupling at the gas meter. The only reason I called them was because they were listed as a member of Atmos Energy Gas Dealer Network which offered a 20% discount (up to $250). The dispatcher who made my appointment said they would accept the 20% discount coupon but when the technician arrived, he said his manager told him they wouldn’t accept the coupon. They immediately started pushing their annual membership for $100 that renews automatically which basically offers nothing but a 15% discount off their outrageous rates. They charged $575 to perform a pressure test that took 30 minutes. Instead of offering to fix the area that was leaking they wanted to replace the entire gas line from the meter to the house for $2,700. When asked why they don’t just fix the area that is leaking the technician stated that they don’t do it that way. I would never have agreed to have them perform a $575 pressure test if they were only willing to replace the entire gas line in the yard. I basically paid them $575 for nothing. I called another licensed plumber who came out the next day and replaced the coupling and pipe leading to the gas meter for $385. This price even included the air pressure test. Avoid this company at all costs or you will be sorry.

I hired Berkeys because of their good ratings on Angi. I had a leaky pipe which turned into a monumental issue. Required tunneling under my house to fix. That experience was ok although after it was finished, there was still a leak and they had to come back out to fix it a second time. Today I had a clogged pipe that had raw sewage backing up into my house. My tubs were full of it. Terrible. I called them for an emergency Sunday service. I explained the situation and they told me they could help today. After 5 hours of waiting, I called back. They said I was still on the list but could give me no idea as to when they could come out nor could they tell me how far down the list I was. Just that the tech would call when he was on the way. 3 hours later, a full 8 hours after my call, I still hadn't heard anything. Tubs full of sewage, and I can't run any water in the house and they weren't able to help me after saying they would be out today. I ended up just canceling the service call and I'll use someone else. If you can't manage to even have someone close to on the way after 8 hours, then you shouldn't have said you could help me today. I would have called someone else and had the situation resolved by now.

Excellent service. They gave me a good price, they came on time, and did a good service.

It went very well

They did a good job overall. They had to excavate in the back (they use a contractor for that) and then replace the pipes leading from the washing machine to the sewer drain. This house is 60 years old and the old pipes just couldn't handle the water load, flooding the laundry room. The only problem we had was getting the excavation crew back out here to fill in the hole once the plumbing was done. There was some sort of confusion over whether Berkey's needed to get an inspector to go over the work first. It ended up being a couple of phone calls and about 3 weeks until they got the crew back out here. However, the crew did leave the excavation covered and a mound of dirt/rocks created a barrier to the hole so that our dog couldn't get to it, so that was a good thing. The pipes seem to be working just fine now.
