Roy's Air Conditioning

We have used Roy's Air Conditioning for our personal home and for rental properties for over 15 years and have always been pleased. Someone can always come out in a timely manner when called, which is very important when it's 100 outside and the AC is out!

I would like to say that Roy's Air Conditioning is the best. We have used them several times and they have always kept their appointment time. they give us an appointment window and we can count on them to be here. They call to let us know if they will be a little later. They evaluate the problem, let me know what it takes to fix it and the cost. We appreciate their work ethic.

I have been using Roy’s Air Conditioning / Heating for 6 years. They run a friendly and professional business that takes great pride in building customer relationships. I believe in annual checkups on my two HVAC units. The technicians take the time to walk me through what the process is and rarely have they found an issue that they can’t adjust immediately if needed. I trust this team as they stand by their work and warranty. That’s important as we all know, in today’s world, nothing lasts the way it used too. I wouldn’t take the time to write this review if I wasn’t sure about the 5 star service offered by Roy’s.

Our A/C stopped working on a Saturday we were able to get in touch with Roy's air conditioning and the owner came out Sunday morning. Bad news was we needed a new unit, which was installed on Monday. Great business to work with and highly recommend them.

They were very honest, was referred to us by a close friend, and we are very happy to pass it on. Haden was a very polite and respectful in his work. And explained the process and we are very sayisfied and will keep them on file

Hayden helped us several times identify the problem and solve the problem with appropriate speed and made the process as convenient as possible to my availability and access. They were great.

HONEST & FAIR -- what more can a homeowner ask for. Roy's Air Conditioning took a call (when others wouldn't) the day before Thanksgiving to fix failed attempt at a smart thermostat (Google Nest) installation. Thank you Hayden for saving the day -- you earned a new lifetime customer!

Our AC went down and I called them to take a look and they were here quickly, especially for a Friday. They were punctual, friendly, explained what they were doing along with the cost, and cleaned up after themselves. The price couldn't be beat! I will use them for all my HVAC needs moving forward and will recommend them to all my friends! A+ service, thank you so much!

WHERE TO BEGIN? We hired Roy's in Athens four years ago to design/install an entire HVAC system in a newly built house. This was done in July. When that first winter rolled around and we had a bad cold spell, the heat was blowing cold air. Of course this happens on a Sunday night. We reached someone, but then after calling back the owner would not answer the phone any longer. We finally caused so much trouble (it was in the 20s), they did send a tech at 9pm. Come to find out they had installed/wired the thermostat incorrectly. The tech actually told us he had never put that kind in so didn't know how to do it. So he "fixes" that (supposedly). Move along a couple years and we're noticing our heater runs funny, cuts on and off immediately a lot, etc. AND our electric bills are HUGE in the winter when the heater has to run. The unit is a heat pump and supposed to be efficient. This week, another cold snap and our electric usage is WAY up. We call a different AC company in town to see if they know what's wrong. They find that the thermostat was still wired incorrectly, the emergency heat function could not come on properly to defrost the condensor when needed, and it's running in a very inefficient manner. They also find most of our vents installed backwards, AND that the entire system wasn't designed properly. We have TWO return air vents on one end of a good sized house and NONE on the other end of the house. Consequently that end of the house is always colder because all cold air is being drawn down there. Plus the non-vented side of the house is hotter in the summer. All this has cost us HUNDREDS of dollars a year due to the system running incorrectly. Needless to say....DO NOT HIRE ROY'S!!!

Installed and have been maintaining our HVAC systems for more than 10 years. Always receive prompt, professional service. They are honest and dependable.

Called them they came out same day. Had a coolent leak for a while and no one else could find it or bothered to. Real nice guy, Blane found it right off. Turned out to be the coils. They ordered part and came today and replaced them and checked the unit inside and out. Very, very pleased with this company, and their pricing. Hate getting the run around by service people and I have spent over 1000 in past few yrs. just getting unit topped off with coolent and no one fixing it. I think you will be pleased if you use them. Please check around when calling an A/C company. Roy's A/C charges for "Drive Time" from their location to your location to the tune of $110/hr. If they hit traffic or an accident it will cost YOU. They do not tell you this upfront. They came out 4 times (from Athens to Larue, 12 miles). I had one leak in the copper line and ended up paying $700 for the labor. I was surprised when the bill came. I called 3 other A/C CO. in Athens to conduct my own industry survey about "Drive Time" . None charged for "Drive Time" and where $80-$85 per hour. They were TOP NOTCH, CHILL OUT and COLE A/C. Please ask questions about pricing and shop around. I wish I did, lesson learned!!!

Service on AC unit to unclog the overflow (took about 2 days to call..after I called 2nd time). Says they fixed the drain overflow and added some tape around unit for leakage. 30-40 minutes work..$200. 2 weeks later same overflow leaking. Called to get repaired..since evidently it wasn't..she took my name and number, but Never anyone called to come service it. Not good on servicing units or calling you back.

The guys at Roy's AC do great work. They schedule you in fairly quick and work well with my busy schedule. I would recommend them to anyone around Athens.

Terrible work. Installed incorrectly and damaged indoor unit when called to fix bad installation. Still not fixed after called back out. When called again they declined to fix the mistake they caused. As an hvac tech myself I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

On time, excellent service. Wesley is great, would recommend to anyone around Cedar Creek Lake and surrounding areas.

Did not install units correctly and tried to get money for thing they wernt supposed to fix. Told me they would not come out to repair units because I owed them money for units they installed incorrectly... Huh wonder why im not paying until things are done correctly.
