The owner of this company is rude, accusatory and has deplorable customer service. She called to inquire why I refused a delivery and accused me of having another oil company. I told her I did not; I actually called for service the week prior. I tried to explain that I recently had a house flood and was not ready to pay the $900+ cost of an oil bill at the moment. The explanation fell on deaf ears; she again made the accusation of using another oil company and closed my account. I told her I did not like her tone, she in turn debased the conversation into an argument. I was with Skaggs-Walsh ( now Atlas Oil) for nearly 15 years and never had an issue with postponing a delivery. The owner was rude, disrespectful and discriminatory. She's in dire need of sensitivity training.

A MUST TO AVOID! After 21-years of contracts with this company, they not only dropped me when I tried to confirm that all contracts are in my name (due to divorce) they refused to reimburse me for the balance of the service contract and at least two years of over payment for regular oil delivery

They have been excellent and I have no complaints. I would recommend them.

Very professional, thorough work. This happened on Thanksgiving day and they did send someone within a few hours of our call.

They are 24 hour service. They are very responsive, and always get back to me. They have a good billing program, and do exactly what I ask them to do. They have a great program overall.

They were more expensive by close to $0.90 per gallon (ninety cents per gallon).  Even considering the NY state biofuel rebate, they were about 50-70 cents more expensive.  I locked in $1.89 per gallon with another provider.  With the 20-cent per gallon biofuel rebate, my effective price will be $1.69 per gallon.  Maintenance will also be free in the coming year. <br /> Overall, everyone was very nice at Skaggs & Walsh except when I brought up price and Donna tried to bully me.  She said the others were selling waste oil and they would have bad records on BBB.  Via Angie's list, I found another provider with a comparable rating. <br /> I gave them an opportunity to retain the business but I did not feel that they treated me very well, considering that they were charging me an arm and a leg. <br />

Although i had an issue with a representative the owner was courteous and professional in helping resolve matters <br /> turning it into a great experience <br /> <br /> I would highly recommend Skaggs Walsh

Had some concerns and sent a letter, received a callback from the president of the company. She was lovely and I decided to continue to do business with them. Service guys are second to none!

They were very good. I just happened to get cheaper service and at a lower cost. If it's air conditioning service you have your choice of contract that each of the contract varies in price but it varies in what you are entitled to.

Went fine,  Been using them for more than 5 years.  They are very  professional, and respond  promptly  to emergencies,  keep to their appointments and their service men can often  fix any problems on first visit and almost always by the second

They're very good. They've been excellent. The price of the heating oil right now is high, but that's for every company. They come out immediately, 24/7, so I've been very pleased with them.
