Barnette has once again exceeded our expectations. Not only did they build a very functional dual fuel system that incorporated our oil furnace, they also worked with me to figure out a logical approach to updating our system while keeping us within our budget. Let's just say if there were an option for 10 stars, I would be giving them just that. Good solid knowledgeable and caring crew! Thank you!

Huge thank you to Gregg and his team for getting our new HVAC system installed this week. We've been without heat since Spring 2024, and without AC since spring 2025. Jennifer was so helpful answering all of my many questions, and the guys got the installation done within about a day and a half. Though, I hope not to have to replace another HVAC system for a long long time, I look forward to doing business with them again! So much Gratitude for all of your hard work crawling under our house in 80° temps & 75% humidity. You've brought sanity - and cool air back into our house. ❤️🙏🏼

The best! My air stopped working during the hottest time of the year ( of course! ) I went by a recommendation from an acquaintance and chose Barnette to come out and take a look. I am so glad I did! Omar quickly diagnosed the issue and offered solutions that did not involve getting a new system. I told him I was trying to just fix the issue for now. There was absolutely no high-pressure up-selling, just suggestions from him on how to fix it on the cheap. Unfortunately, the part I needed couldn't be found. Not that Jennifer and the boss didn't try. I ended up getting a new system installed by Omar and his coworkers and I must say they were absolutely great. Professional, quick, thorough and very friendly. A good company that does absolutely quality work. Thank you to everyone that handled this project!

Greg and his team came in and did what 4 other HVAC companies told us wasn’t possible! They really fixed a mess and saved our basement project. I could write a novel on what happened but the company we hired did a poor job with our duct work layout and workman’s ship. Greg’s team came in and moved our plenum into the floor trusses instead of below. They cleaned up the air supply/took out a lot of slack and moved our thermostat so it wasn’t right by the return. We are happy with the job done and plan to use them for all service moving forward. They took great care of our home, Jared even text me when they were done as we had left on vacation. I trusted them to do the job right. While it isn’t terribly hot yet but we used to set the AC at 74 to be comfortable, but now that feels too cold! I think they really improved the air flow for us! My only regret is not hiring them to install it instead of the other company. It was a costly mistake that I won’t make again

Barnetts are the real deal, they had my heat and air up and running in no time! I had someone come out before, they was here 3 or 4 times, just kept charging me but was not fixing the problem. I am so pleased with Barnett, they know their stuff! Thanks again guys!

Beginning with our first contact with Greg Barnette, it was a flawless project. With Barnette's expertise and professionalism, the removal of the old units and installation of a new AC and furnace was excellent. The entire crew and staff was friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and maintained contact from the start of the project through the final inspection. Very pleased with everything from phone call to service! Technician was at my home in less than an hour! Technician was able to complete the repair very quickly and explained what he did so I could understand what happened. Will definitely call Barnette again!

Amazing inverter HVAC installation service. After 3 estimates, this is the company we choose. Challenging installation, due to some 1950's system parts being replaced/updated. Job completed in a timely fashion at a great price point.

Superb Service and quality. I Had my unit installed in October 2019 and I am beyond thrilled. Very professional from beginning to end. The Secretary sends in all warranty information herself to ensure it is all done correctly. She even got me a rebate from my electric company. Also, the county inspector was very impressed with the quality of the work Barnette Heating and Air did. You will not regret going with this company for all you heating and air needs!!

My experience with Barnette H&A was nothing short of incredible. Greg, the owner, provided an instantaneous easy to understand quote with different options. The crew that did the installation was extremely professional and courteous. Tracy went above and beyond to assist with pre and post installation activities. My new system runs so quietly that I don't even know it's there.

We bought a new heating and air unit for our home, because the old on finally died. After discussing the options with Greg Barnette, we decided on the unit best for our needs. The old unit was promptly removed and the new unit was installed in a matter of hours. The men working were very cordial and stayed on task. The new thermostat was thoroughly explained and we are very pleased with the new unit. We were really impressed with Greg Barnette's knowledge concerning our options. He really knows his stuff. The company is impressive and, this may not mean much to other people, but, there was no mess left behind! I would recommend them to anyone looking for service or installation.

Mickel came by checked things out and yes we needed a new heat pump as our previous heating and air person (our neighbor) told us with the recommendation to call Barnettes. I spoke with Tracy early morning, with in an hour Michel came. We got the estimate of cost that afternoon. We OK'ed the job the next morning. They ordered the unit and called a day earlier than they had promised to install the unit. They arrived after lunch and had the old unit out and new in before 5 pm. They took all the old unit away, left no mess in my house or yard. The house was not cooling off so I called at 10 minutes to 5 pm. There was some question as if there had been long enough to cool any: as they had just left my house the 15 minutes before. But a technician came by on his way home, just to make me feel better as I did not feel that the air coming from the vents was cool. Sure enough there was some problem of crossed wires, I believe. But it was putting out cold air within 5-10 minutes of the tech returning. Electrician came next day and added a breaker closer to the unit in my basement. A couple of days later county inspector came by and gave thumbs up to the job. Long message to tell you they were great. Everyone that I came in contact with was nice, courteous, and lots of fun. I could not have ask for a better experience. Thanks to Mickel , Greg and all the team. Will for sure be calling you for any additional problems or needs.

Amazing company to deal with! Called them because my other HVAC Company told me it was going to be at least 5 days before they could get to me. It was a slight emergency with my a/c right before it was going to be 95+ degrees out. I called barnettes at 3pm on a Wednesday and by 345pm there were 3 technicians at my house to fix the problem. They immediately diagnosed and repaired the problem in less than 30 mins. One of the techs even helped me put my new thermostat in while he was here. Worth every penny! Will recommend them to anyone!

Don’t pay the $160 for this business’ yearly maintenance program. The appointment cards are not sent out so you won’t know when they are coming unless you call. Then the tech shows up whenever it is convenient in his route which was (1&1/2 hours early) regardless of the appointment time, leaves a filter and a card stating that they cannot return due to fuel prices. This is just a money grab. The office manager is so helpful that she will affect a surgery sweet tone as she talks loudly over you and hangs up in your ear. Very poorly executed service.

Called Barnette to quote us a price for installation of new hvac units. Greg's price was reasonable as were the reviews, so we decided to use Barnette HVAC. Greg held true to his word and the install was completed on time. We did have a couple issues with cosmetic damage to our walls and ceiling from his company; but Greg and Alice did the right thing and took care of the damages that occurred. We will be referring Barnette HVAC services to anyone we come across who is in need of their services. Thank you Greg and Alice!!

Watch out! They have a 900% markup on parts. They changed me 164.00 for a capacitor that sells for 16.00 retail. When I asked about it the owner was curt and a bit rude in his response asking. They do good work but they can be rude folks. And over charge. To many competitors to be acting like that.

I had a gentleman come in the morning to do a diagnostics of my unit and found that it had a leak and within 35 minutes he had it fixed and ac was running perfectly. I would highly recommend this business for your heating and cooling needs. Very prompt, professional and the price is amazingly affordable!!!

Had Barnette out for our six month maintenance check. Stevie our technician recommended replacing the dryer vent duct that runs under our home in the crawl space. It seemed heavy he said, replacing the duct after 18 years of use there was 2 to 3 inches of lint packed inside. He surely helped prevent a possible fire. Thank you so much to Stevie for checking and replacing that duct work. We are so appreciative.

After trying to obtain parts to repair a mini split system in rental house, they had to replace the system. Due to Covid, they could not get unit they quoted; however, they were able to get a unit and get installed quickly. Good work, highly recommend.

Fabulous customer service! We called about a unit they had installed several months back and they was literally at my door within 30 minutes. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Had us back up and running within minutes.

Just used Barnette to replace our 20 year old heat pump...great service. Very nice work...even the inspector commented about what a quality job they had done in the close quarters of our attic space...highly recommend!!

I was told by 4 major ac companies that my compressor was shorted out and that I needed a new unit at a cost of $4000 and because of the heat wave {July } that it could not be installed until early August. I then called Barnette in Mocksville for a 5th opinion.Greg came out diagnosed the broken fan issue Not a shorted compressor and had me up and running within a hour or so even after running out for the parts for under $500. Greg was honest and professional as I have ever meet and will be my AC and Heat guy from now on. Call Barnette for any AC or Heat repairs I can promise you wont be disappointed nor taken for a ride...

I just replaced my twenty (20) year old heat pump with a new American Standard Gold series 17 SEER unit and it is working great and it's much quieter. I also like the new thermostat that I can control remotely with my cell phone. I made a good choice.
