This review reflects my experience with one specific technician, not necessarily the entire company, as I do see many positive reviews here. Positive: response time was good - a technician was dispatched the day after my initial call. Unfortunately, the technician assigned to my case, Najim, was the issue. From the start, he focused more on discussing previous maintenance and selling a tune-up than on proper diagnostics, suggesting that with regular service this type of failure “most likely wouldn’t happen.” The furnace issue was intermittent. During the visit, the system happened to be working, so very little troubleshooting was done beyond basic cleaning. I was also told by him that I would need to pay extra simply for watching him work in my own home, which is completely unheard of. More concerning, the service report later stated that a sensor was replaced, which did not happen. I was present the entire time (from a reasonable distance, without interfering), and no part was replaced. A second visit was scheduled and handled the same way, with no real resolution. Shortly after, the system stopped heating again. A different HVAC company later diagnosed the issue in one visit as a faulty electrical control board. Once replaced, the system has worked consistently since. I recommend the company review this technician’s work and reporting and consider pairing him with a senior technician for additional training. While the response time was good, based on my experience I would advise customers to be cautious when assigned this technician.

We use RDU every year to check our HAVC units (3) and we are always pleased with his service. He’s on time, does his inspections and gives us his results!! We feel so much better, especially in the fall when we need to turn on our heating system knowing it’s working properly!!

Najim from RDU Services did an amazing job! Our Air Conditioning unit went out in the middle of the night on a weekend and it was one of the 90+ degree days, so I tried everything to get it back up, but got to the point that I needed a professional. I called RDU at 1am and Najim came out without hesitation. He had my unit back up and running in no time and we setup a preventative maintenance visit for a couple days later and he again did an outstanding job. I’m incredibly impressed and grateful for their focus on customer service. Thank you again!

Najim was very responsive and incredibly kind. He helped me navigate the problem, got it fixed right away, and is helping ensure that the repair is submitted to my home warranty. I will be hiring him in the future for HVAC maintenance and any other repairs needed.

I give RDU SERVICES my highest regards. Najim was my service technicial, and after I emailed him with a description of the problem I was having with my A/C compressor unit, he was at my house witin a couple of days. He gave me a 1-hour window for his arrival time and he showed up during that time. (Imagine that!) And within an hour the issue was taken care of. Najim was very polite, very friendly, and very professional. Well done, Najim and RDU SERVICES!

I recently hired RDU Services to replace my 16-yr old A/C system. The company was punctual, responsive and offered a very reasonable price. The technicians were professional and courteous. I highly recommend RDU Services and would not hesitate to use them again. Updated 07/19/25- Used RDU Services again to replace damper motor. They got me scheduled quickly, just a day after I reported the issue. Prompt arrival, quick service, competitive price and honest workers! The tech was honest and knowledgeable, he came on time and troubleshooting my system, explained what was the issue and fixed on time. Price was fair, I will definitely use Rdu services in the future an highly recommend this guys for your hvac needs.

My unit in the attic was leaking and staining the ceiling. My warranty company sent out a priority service request to RDU. The owner did a check inside and out. Took pictures and in detailed explained what was happening. (Something my maintenance service should have found 5 days when they were here). After speaking with the warranty company I agreed at my expense to have the additional maintenance done. I am pleased and confident in the work performed. He was on time, very professional and respectful to me and my home. Most impressive he rechecked his work twice in different areas to ensure is his work would earn my 5 star 🌟 review. Great to support locally owned businesses as well.

I can't recommend RDU Services Heating Air Conditioning LLC highly enough! This is the second time I've called on their expertise, and once again, they didn't just meet expectations; they surpassed them. Post-repair and service, my house has never felt cooler, and the air conditioner runs more efficiently, evident from the decreased operational time. By far the best heating & air company I have worked with in 20 years in the Triangle. The owner, Mr Hassani, is professional, knowledgeable, and timely. Excellent communication and follow up. His thorough approach detected a near leak in my heat exchange that could have been dangerous. This allowed me to work with my home warranty and then RDU Heating & Air replaced the gas pack. Also nice to support a smaller business with a hard working, honest owner. Highly recommend!

Hired for warranty work, paid additional 700 dollars for mold removal and the technician didn’t clean most the mold, left the inside of the unit soaked and broke my crawlspace light. Told me none of this, but was quick to demand payment before leaving.
