I don’t usually leave reviews, but after what happened, I feel it’s only fair to warn future customers about my experience with Absolute Comfort Systems. When I scheduled a furnace service, I spoke with Kevin in detail about pricing. He assured me the cost would be $150 total, even if the hose from the furnace needed to be replaced. The next day, a technician came out and all he had to do was clear a clogged tube, no repairs, no replacement parts. Yet, when he handed me the invoice, the total was $195. When I questioned it and mentioned my conversation with Kevin, the technician argued with me, rolled his eyes, and was very unprofessional in my home. Frustrated, I paid the bill but called Kevin immediately afterward. Instead of acknowledging the issue, Kevin told me they “cleaned the drain” (they didn’t, it was just a cleaning the tube) and tried to justify a $75 ‘repairs’ charge even though no actual repair or parts were needed. This kind of bait-and-switch pricing and unprofessional conduct is unacceptable. I walked away feeling misled and disrespected. I will never use Absolute Comfort Systems again, and I recommend that anyone considering them think twice before trusting this company with your HVAC needs.

Absolute or Rogers Comfort Systems? This name confusion could be the first red flag! I can't score zero stars but one star is appropriate only because Kevin is good and Dan is good according to my wife. "Super Dave", the owner, is terrible. My warrantied Carrier AC that they installed in my new house four to five years ago went out overnight on a very hot day. Kevin and Dan were quick to respond. Here is where it all went wrong. They took advantage of my retirement aged wife in a very hot house. They did not disclose the basic service call charge to us up front before they dispatched their tech. The bad capacitor (which I pre diagnosed for them) needed to be changed out. Fast forward to a total charge of $250 for a 30 minute service call and labor. Two different charges! The capacitor was covered under warranty which is only a $25 part. After questioning the high charge, I was told only the owner, "Super Dave", could make an adjustment. I asked for "Super Dave" to call me. He did and proceeded to brow beat me about how his double dip price is a fair price and he has to deal with complaining customers like me on a regular basis. He stated a "customer like me" who knows nothing about his business. Bad assumption. I know what the cost should be since I sold these parts when I managed a large Hardware Store for several years. And, I know what a fair labor rate is for his time. I'm a Purchasing Manager and buy parts and labor for a living. He challenged every point I made about his charge and was down right ignorant. He asked what I thought a fair price should be and I stated $150 for thirty minutes of his techs time. He brushed that off, of course. After he realized that maybe I know what I'm talking about and that I can stand toe to toe with him berating me for fifteen minutes, he offered an apology. He stated that he's getting close to retirement and he's at a point where he cares less and less about what his customers think. All he had to do was start with the apology, explain his ridiculous double charges in a lucid manor and we could have probably moved on. What's $100 in the end. But now it's more than that. It's the principle and everyone should know. He is a bad person with a terrible disposition. We need to stand up to bullies and hustlers like this. I urge anyone considering this company to take a hard pass. It's not worth your time and the trouble. I now am considering disputing the charge with my credit card company. This is "Super Dave's" opportunity to do the right thing and refund the $100 difference of his over charge. I'll sleep and pray on this to decide the right thing to do. However there is nothing right with "Super Dave" in this case. He may be a great guy but he didn't show it. So, in the end I got to pay too much and get kicked in the teeth for fifteen minutes. He needs to retire if he's that unhappy because unhappiness spreads like a disease. "Super Dave"?? Super disappointment!

Absolute Comfort Systems has gone above and beyond on every heating and cooling issue we have had, not only at our home but our business as well. Extremely fast response time from the initial call to finished installation of the new systems. Dave, Our salesman, was very professional and knowledgeable! When all their technicians were overwhelmed with installations, Dave was there almost instantaneously to make sure we had portable a/c units to keep our staff cool and productive until they were able to get the new unit installed. Hands down would recommend Absolute Comfort Systems for any of your Heating and Cooling needs. They will go above and beyond to make sure you get the best prices and experience!

Don’t bother with calling this company. Let me preface by saying that I selected this company specifically because they installed the unit in our newly constructed home. 1. When our unit froze on 6/29, I was able to speak to one of their technicians via phone on 6/30 about the issue. I thanked him for his guidance – but I also told him that I was interested in setting up a seasonal maintenance/check-up plan immediately. He said that he would have the coordinator get in touch with me later that day… which didn’t happen. 2. A few days later, I submitted the form online through their website as a request for service. I never heard back. 3. This Monday, I called and requested to schedule a maintenance/check appointment. I mentioned I filled out a form online and didn’t get a response. The woman on the phone took my contact information, apologized for missing my form request, asked for a preferred date/time for scheduling my service, and said she would call back once she put me on the schedule. She never called back. When I followed up on Wednesday to ask if I was ever put on the schedule, she said she must have forgotten to reach back out but did schedule me for the end of the week. Well, it’s the end of the week and I adjusted my work schedule for this appointment, and shockingly, a technician never showed up at the appointment time. At this point, it’s not even worth calling back to figure out what went wrong.

Awesome experience from beginning to end. Old unit died while on vacation. Called on a Saturday, Dave came out for quote that day. Very knowledgeable and informative. Installed unit 3 days later and even left a portable unit to keep house comfortable while we waited. Installers were professional and worked hard to get job done quickly. Quote was fair and came in well under another locale company. Would recommend Absolute to all and looking forward to continued after install service. Also liked they are locally owned and family orientated.

The home in question is 2 years old and has had a roof leak that is causing damage to the plywood under the roofing shingles because the Heating and Air Conditioning Company did not seal the Roof vent so Rain, Ice and Snow was been leaking through the flashing and causing damage that would never have been discovered unless there was a Professional Building Inspection done during the Sale process.. High Quality ASHI Building Inspectors look everywhere for defects in systems and workmanship.. I have been a Real Estate Broker Salesperson since 1985 and I cannot remember being treated so rude by a Reputable Contractor. When the Inspection Report came in with Photos I called Absolute Comfort Systems and told them about this Minor Problem which could have been corrected easily with less than one tube of Exterior Caulking and sealant. An employee told me she would relay the information to a Manager..I did not hear back so I called Back a week Later.. I got the run around again. Today , Nov 30, 2023 it was Raining so I called back again. A Manager called me back and said that they had a One Year Warranty so they were not obligated to do repairs under the Warranty , but if I paid them they would make a repair. At one time I would have agreed to pay, but not now, because he had a total disregard for the Customer with the Leaking Flashing that is causing damage to the plywood... Most Homeowners never go into an Attic to see if contractors do quality work, so this flashing could have been leaking since the furnace was installed. Absolute Comfort Systems may be a fine company, but in this instance they would not stand behind the quality of the work they did when they installed the Vent from the Furnace thru the Roof. It makes me wonder if there are Carbon Monoxide Leaks or Gas Leaks that could occur after the year warranty expires. I will be notifying The Permitting Departments of St. Paul, and St. Charles County and I will be Notifying TR HUghes about the incident too.

Paid this company more than $6000.00 for our Heating and Cooling system, which is still under partial warranty (parts covered, not labor). The blower motor went bad. Was quoted $450.00 for "labor" which I thought was excessive, but the person I spoke to told me the Tech would "be at your home a good amount of time". It still sounded excessive to me, but I agreed. The Tech was here less than 60 minutes. I asked the Tech to call the office and be certain they REALLY wanted to charge me $450.00 for such a simple (and fast) repair on a system that was still under warranty. They did not change the price, so I paid as agreed, but I am very unhappy at being gouged. I will never use this company again and strongly recommend that others avoid them. This has nothing to do with the Service Personnel (or the initial installation, which was top notch) they were polite, efficient and did an excellent job. This is all about pure greed on the part of whoever runs this business. If I could give them Zero stars I would.

New home installation with two furnaces. One system is fine but the others duct system makes so much noise it’s ridiculous. Its not the vent covers or filter as far as i can tell. We didnt notice how bad it was until we moved in and now everything is finished. Really disappointed but we’re hoping they can fix it. I will update this review Update: they were very responsive and came out and quieted the system a lot with some simple tweaks. I was very worried we’d have to live w the amount of noise but they did a great job and were very nice about it. Thanks!!!!!!

Called Dave per co-workers recommendation, and I'm glad I did!!! This company is top-notch. Crew showed up on time and was very professional. Completed the job in no time, which was appreciated during a record-setting heat wave. Highly recommended!! Thank you!!!

Used for years......they’ve never been able to fix anything.....always issues. Now they charge me $300/hour after another failure to fix my A/C unit. Ridiculous.....go elsewhere!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They installed crappy HVAC system in December 2020 which breaks down annually. Parts under warranty, but charges $100 for service call and another $150 to take 2 minutes to install capacitor. Didn't try to offer me a service contract, probably because they make a fortune as transactional pirates. Maybe if they were the last company on earth I would go back.

THE WORST company with whom I have ever done business. It starts at the top, with the owner, Dave. Absolute Comfort Systems (previously Rogers) does NOT stand behind their product. Absolute repaired my heating system with a new board in December 2022. They sent a young kid out, Danny, who tracked snow into my home after I asked him to remove his shoes. Danny did not clean up the floor NOR his downstairs mess. Today, I phoned the company at 4:30 pm (busy). I called back at 4:45 pm--an answering service picked up during business hours. Dave phoned back and was "extremely disagreeable." He went on a tirade about trying to get out of the business because people like me who call late in the day. He said, it was too late for him or an employee to come out at 5:15 pm. NOTE: I let him know my call was before they closed. I also let Dave know my health would be in jeopardy in heat, but he did not care. My guess? Dave did not want to be liable and replace the Chinese made circuit board that Danny installed. Sadly, Dave tried to diagnose the issue over the phone. I asked him to repeat what he said, to make a note, but he ignored my twice-made request. After Dave mentioned Danny's name, I let him know that I did not make a negative review given Danny's unprofessionalism in my home...thinking that I did them a favor. Apparently, this made Dave angry and he said he was not going to business with anyone who threatened him. NOTE: I did NOT threaten him (simply stated a fact), and I had done nothing wrong! Dave's horrific, hateful and rude behavior disgusts me. He kept talking over me. I told him to screw himself and hung up. After 7 years on an award-winning JD Power Customer Service team, I know what good customer service is--this company is NOT it. Absolute consistently lacks quality, professionalism, integrity and good behavior. SAVE your hard-earned money and spend it with a company that values and appreciates your business.
