(This is a repost of my original review two years later.) Mike from Sun Aire was contracted to fix my AC. I do want to preface this review saying that it is for an apartment complex and the contracting went through the complex management and not me personally. Now let me begin. My AC went out and due to the complex and their maintenance staff not having anyone AC certified I had to wait from Friday evening till Monday morning. Mike shows up Monday only to tell us that we would have to wait till tomorrow because AND I QUOTE, "I'm fragile and it's just way too hot to go out on the roof right now.". I find that very frustrating but decide to wait. The next morning comes and I see the Sun Aire van working on the adjacent building. I thought no big deal and patiently waited only to find out that he left around noon with no heads up to the complex management and just didn't come back that day. To keep this short I'll just say that this happened SEVERAL times. Overall Mike was extremely unprofessional, came across and arrogant, and showed no sense of urgency despite advertising 24/7 hours on his site, which we called him personally several times and got no response. Do not choose Sun Aire, go with a different company even if it seems like it will take longer. Trust me, a more reputable company will help you a lot soon than Sun Aire. As for the repost, my original review was replied to downplaying my situation saying there were no risks to my health (which I never even brought up) and revealed information about where I lived which I did not appreciate. Extremely unprofessional even two years later.

Think twice hiring this company to do your HVAC needs. Built a custom home with Mike Sr doing his radiant heat and Mike Jr doing his other HVAC.. This company doesn't have any help, apart from Father & Son duo. Mike Sr is very good technically, only did radiant heat for me, but always doesn't meet their timelines which is very common in this home building process. Mike Jr does the AC & heat and he is one man only does all his fabrication and installs. Since checks are distributed per step installs, with contract in place, they are some what responsive. My problems started after completion of jobs, Mike Sr at-least was responsive and answered his calls, helped over to phone to diagnose the issues related to radiant heat, on other hand, Mike Jr doesn't even pickup his phone nor reply back. I still have pending issue with radiant heat from Jan which is postponed sometime to Summer, had temp fix which helped however on HVAC side, i had to hire another HVAC hand to help some issues. So do yourself a favor, find a company that is responsive and helps in your needs. I went in with this company after a retired HVAC owner vouched for Mike Sr with a caveat that you hire Mike Jr too, if not find another one, since both came on board, i went in with them, but after working with them over a year and after completion, Mike Jr is also an liability, so bottom line I wouldn't hire these folks.

Where do I even start with Mike. First off, he was extremely unprofessional. After 3 days with no AC, he showed up and told us he couldn’t work on it today because “he’s fragile” and that he would be back in the morning. I thought it was strange that he took up AC repair but can’t work in the heat… anyways, I asked him if he could at least take a look at our unit to ensure that the coil was in fact frozen and it wasn’t another issue. He glanced up at it, looked at me, and said “I looked at it.” He followed it up with “if you don’t have AC by tomorrow afternoon, call the office (of the complex I live in.) 3pm the next day rolls around, no AC.. we contact the office, the office hasn’t heard a word from him. This goes on for a few days, and since the office didn’t know what was going on with him, I tried to call him. Many days in a row. Never picked up once. So much for 24/7 service 🙄. Two weeks later of dealing with Mike giving us the runaround and no AC, we finally had another company fix our AC unit (Jameson heating and air) Mind you, during these two weeks, it was getting as high as 106 degrees during the day. Mike has absolutely no sense of emergency for his clients. I’d highly recommend taking your business to Jameson heating and air, they are fantastic.
