Excel did a great job for us ! Extensive entire house ( 1762 vintage) redesign and replacement of force hot air with 8 Samsung heat pumps. Required linesets through walls and attics. Managed to complete on time and budget against difficult supply chain. Good coordination with other trades. Also relocated an existing hydronic oil boiler system as cold weather back-up. Heat pumps maintained constant quiet and comforable heat all winter with outside down well below 0degF . Enjoying the cool air now !

The individuals that worked on my home were always on time, they were very professional and made the process of new heating systems easy. I’d highly recommend. Update, had an issue with one of the split units, lost pressure. A newer technician came to my home, very capable, well spoken and knowledgeable about the systems and what needed to be done. He had constant support from the original installer. He was neat and efficient. I’m overly impressed with the product , service and technicians.

We had heat pumps and water tank installed 3 years ago. Communication was not good, appointments were missed (without phone calls), emails not returned in a timely fashion. We have had issues with our water tank due to their faulty plumbing and now we have to pay $500 in labor to get it fixed/replaced. Would not recommend this business.

I had an excellent experience with Excel mechanical when I had a new furnace and water heater installed in November. When I first called them I was very impressed with how responsive they were; they were able to give me a quote very quickly and showed up to all scheduled appointments on time. Not only that, but they offered the lowest price and quickest turn around out of the several companies I got quotes from. I communicated mostly with Asa, who always warm, friendly and got back to me immediately throughout the whole process. Rochelle was also very kind and helpful when I spoke with her. The company went out of their way to get the furnace installed as quickly as possible. They also coordinated everything with my propane company, which I really appreciated. I also asked them to install a new water heater, as mine was very old, and they even moved it to a more convenient spot in the basement for me. Matthew, Brandon, and Bryce did most of the installing, and Keith and Lucas did the vent work, I think. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgable. I felt completely comfortable having them in the house, and they were very conscientious about making sure everything worked well and made sure to clean everything up.

Great Install. Just had 3 Floor units installed, one in the Living Room recessed under the stairs and the other two upstairs in the bedrooms. Asa was our sales manager, technicians where over two days, Chris, Lucas, Mike and Sam everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, very courteous, neat and clean and pleasant to talk with.

Mike Southwick did an amazing job today installing our new garbage disposal. After it was installed, he filled the sink and ran the dishwasher to make sure everything was working well. Very professional work and outstanding customer service.

I had a plumbing emergency and reached out to two local plumbers. Unfortunately, neither could make it to my house for at least a week, which I understood given how busy most contractors are these days. I then decided to call Chris at Excel Mechanical—not for service, but to see if he could recommend someone, as I thought their expertise was limited to new installations (they’re scheduled to install heat pumps next month). To my surprise, Chris informed me that their services extend far beyond new installations and said he’d try to pull someone from another job to help. Within minutes, Kim at Excel’s main office contacted me to enter a trouble ticket, and shortly afterwards I received a text confirmation with a timeframe for the service call. Chris personally followed up to let me know that one of their master plumbers, Robbie, was already on his way. Amazingly, within 30 minutes of my initial call, Robbie was at my door. Robbie greeted me with a big smile and an upbeat attitude. He was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and tackled the issue with precision—like the Seal Team 6 of plumbing! Excel Mechanical turned what could have been a major headache into a seamless and stress-free experience. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and exceptional service from every employee I interacted with has made me a lifelong customer. Highly recommend!

Excel Mechanical exchanged my old oil boiler for a high efficiency gas boiler and also installed a heat pump hot water heater for me. I was very pleased with the whole process from start to finish. Asa, Luke, Lucas, and Kate were very professional, responsive to my needs, competent, and a great pleasure to work with. Their prices were very competitive and the work was of good quality, thus a great value. You will not be disappointed!

Chris did an incredible job! He quickly figured out what was wrong with my furnace, gave me a realistic timeline for repair, got me set up for the immediate future, and educated me in a non-patronizing way about my heating system, its maintenance, and care. I also saw him work incredibly well with a very difficult customer (a relative of mine). Asa was also very helpful and made sure we had temporary heat while the furnace was out of commission. Both he and Chris went above and beyond with their technical work and customer service! The rate was very reasonable as well and the office staff, Raquel, was helpful, knowledgeable, and very nice.

I recently had heat pumps installed at my house, as well as a garbage disposal unit. The gentlemen from Excel Mechanical came to my house for two days to work on them. Throughout that time, they displayed the highest level of courtesy and professionalism. What an awesome company of knowledgeable professionals. We live in a 3-storey 1800s home and when our 30 year old boiler was failing, Excel inspired confidence even at the proposal stage. Their work was efficient and careful and now we have a superb installation that works for us. Highly recommend.

Excel installed 2 heat pumps. Teddy Downy was my sales rep. He was so professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. I'm a single mom, so he worked with me on different options and prices, which was very much appreciated. He was also very patient with my slow decision making. The technicians that installed the units were incredibly helpful and respectful. I work from home so they would always make me aware of any loud noise that was going to happen and cleaned up any mess they made. I would highly recommend this company! I am thinking of also getting a 3rd one in my basement next year and will definitely call Excel to install!

Excel mechanical has done multiple projects for me over the last three - five years at my home in Brunswick Maine. Work required includes everything from plumbing to basic electrical to complex heat pump troubleshooting repair and new installation - both old and new pump systems in the same project. Also, natural gas work has been completed to include installation of a natural gas furnace, work on radiant heat system in My Home, and installation of domestic automobile chargers. The owner and technologist I’ve encountered, are knowledgeable, explain the problem with respect, and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time for a fair cost. I’ve never had a problem with scheduling or someone not showing. Thanks! They’re also reasonably priced. I’ve not been unreasonably charged for any project. Thanks!

I was having trouble with my old boiler in my new home. These guys were very quick to send out a technician named Nick who was very knowledgeable. He got us up and running in no time! I was very satisfied with his work and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get some work done.

Our well tank broke down over Thanksgiving. They were able to get someone out first thing Monday morning and came back Wednesday morning to replace my tank, switch, guage, and valve. Rob did both visits. He was very professional, sympathetic, took the time to answer all my questions. He did great work on the replacement. Fast, neat, clean, and full of helpful information. Price was very competitive. Everyone in the office was also wonderful about returning my calls and working with a tight schedule to take care of me. Thanks All.

Called to get an estimate on a new heat pump system installation. They were very responsive, called back and were on site within a week. When the technician arrived he noticed that I already had a system but it was in disrepair. I was told it would be better to install a whole new system by a different company. He disagreed and with his experience and knowledge, he said it was reparable. With his help I was able to navigate through getting my system repaired. Many thanks for his honest appraisal of the situation. It is a rare trait in my opinion and much appreciated. I highly recommend this company.

They did an amazing job! We replaced our old oil furnace for gas. They were clean, competent and reliable. The price was fair and we couldn't be happier with all their workers. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again and highly recommend their services.

5 stars for Excel Mechanical LLC, Keith, Lucus & Mike are professional, personal, and meticulous. I am extremely happy with the Haier heat pumps and the Navien tankless hot water system. Both are high end quality products. If you are in need of a new system or upgrade I highly recommend Excel Mechanical LLC, you won't be disappointed. Used Excel Mechanical again to replace toilets and water valves, Sam is exceptionally knowledgeable, and personable, I highly recommend him. I cannot say enough about Kristen, Zack, & Travis. All were attentive, friendly, and professional. Kristen and Zack did an exceptional job of rerouting the freon lines, and relocating the compressors so that a propane stove could be installed. While Travis performed yearly maintenance on the tankless hot water heater and the heat pump. I was impressed by the high caliber of their work.

Hank came out to my residence and did the annual service on the Navien boiler. Hank was on time, very professional, and he took time to answer questions that I had. Hank also pointed out a few things to be aware of due to the materials used for the radiant floor heating. It's nice to know that the system was properly serviced and is working efficiently prior to the cold weather setting in. Thanks Hank, I appreciate the friendly and professional work.
