There is simply no way to express my gratitude to Matt, who answered our call in the late evening after hours. No other company even answered. We had no power or heat, and he was kind, supportive, and assured us that they would be there first thing in the morning. He told us what to do to keep our home safe through the night. He arrived first this morning, and he quickly put me at ease. He investigated more than just our HVAC issue, but also evaluated the house wide electrical system. When he determined that the issue was from the outside power company, he advocated for me with the electric company to ensure somebody would come and resolve our situation as quickly as possible. I was astonished that the bill was so reasonable. His patience and knowledge were outstanding, and he then advocated for me with Versant power. Five stars! Don’t call anybody else.

Matt went above and beyond to get me back and operational, refused to stop until I had my heat back, if Bangor HVAC should be proud they should send him out to every job, he was polite and explained everything throughout the entire job, friendly is an understatement especially when asked questions, he even left the area he worked in cleaner thank he arrived. 10/10 service, performance as well as professional. Great experience! Woke up this morning without any heat, Matt came out promptly and diagnosed the issue. All cleaned up, affordable and out the door in 45 minutes. Will be using again in the future!

My original call was an urgent service call (thermostat tanked and the heater had been running all day while we were gone). Matthew was out in less than an hour, diagnosed and fixed the problem. He came out again to service both my furnace and clean the heat pump a week later. I had only purchased my home in Jan and didn't know the state of the systems. He was very up front about what was happening, answered questions I had, didn't try to sell me stuff i didnt need and was very kind in not treating me as a dumb woman - that goes miles in my book. I highly recommend Bangor HVAC for your HVAC needs.

This was incredibly easy and fast. I needed my oil line bled to the furnace. Super polite technician and he even got here 15 mins early. Awesome!

It is rare (in life) 2 come across virtual strangers, that jump in2 action 2 help others in dire situations. Lacey and Matthew of Bangor HVAC are 2 such people. Our furnace went kaput during a cold snap. Not only did they responded quickly, they brought along their personal space heater AND 5 gallons kerosene (in case ours was not an easy fix. Turns out new parts were needed and were replaced within a few days). During that time, my husband, myself (and 100+ plus tropical plants) pulled thru and we couldn't be more appreciative. As if this weren't enough, they've given us extra time 2 pay our (very reasonable priced) bill. Seems good people still exist!!

Amazing customer service! My furnace stopped (after hours ofcourse) I googled and called a bunch of places and everywhere the answer was "you have to have a standing account for after hour services" it was cold and I was getting discouraged then a friend sent me this number.. the lady on the phone answered and without any questions on accounts or anything dispatched a tech right away and he was here within an hour-ish! He was super nice and he didnt have the part needed to fix it but came back first thing this morning and got it fixed right up! They dont charge you your first born for after hours service either its SUPER reasonable with great communication! 10/10 recommend and I have saved their number in my phone just incase I need help again! Thank you soooo much!

I had Bangor HVAC out on March 24 for a furnace cleaning/inspection. I was told the fuel pump needed to be replaced and that they would return the next day. From there, I was given multiple scheduled return dates (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Monday at 10am), and no one showed up for any of them. On Saturday morning, after not receiving a promised call back by the end of the day Friday, I reached out again and explained that dealing with 14-degree weather without heat was becoming very difficult. My message was read at 7:55am, and I did not receive a response until 7:50pm—nearly 12 hours later. I believe I was communicating with Lacey via text during this time. I was later told the delay was due to the part, however I was also told over the phone by Matthew (the technician) that he had personally picked up the part and had it in hand on Thursday. Despite that, I was never given a firm timeline for when the repair would actually be completed. Over the course of several days, we were repeatedly told the technician was running late and on the way, which required my girlfriend to remain home waiting for extended periods on multiple days with no arrival. To be fair, Matthew was professional and helpful during the initial visit. However, after checking the unit myself, the air and fuel filters appeared unchanged, and there were also disconnected wires left on the system. This raised serious concerns about whether a full cleaning and inspection had actually been completed, and about the condition the system was left in. When I requested a full refund due to the missed appointments and lack of completed repair, I was refused. I ultimately had to contact my bank and file a chargeback to recover my money. After reviewing my documentation (including messages and photos), the bank sided with me and reversed the charge. They also noted concerns with the tone and content of the final communication I received. That response included statements like: “I wouldn’t suggest that… you have very little recourse… your signature is all the proof I need… that would result in additional administrative fees… and monies placed in collections…” I’ll let others draw their own conclusions from that. I chose Bangor HVAC based on their strong 5-star reviews, so I feel it’s important to leave an honest and thoughtful account of my experience to help others make an informed decision. Between the missed appointments, lack of communication, incomplete work, refusal to issue a full refund, and the condition the system was left in, I cannot recommend this business.
