Affordable Aire and Refrigeration

This company and its personnel are life savers. From Sean who picked up the phone the first time I called looking for service, to John the Tech, and Moses the senior tech. Narrating my whole story will take a whole book, but I'll say this. They are very reliable, affordable, Profesional, responsive etc. Opening up a new business with commercial freezers, I was left stranded by another martinsburg-based company, but Affordable Aire came in and saved the day. Needless to say they are now my regular go-to service company for my business, and if need be, my home. Thanks guys.

In 2021 Affordable Aire replaced our church's two 1950 gas furnace system with a new 2 HVAC system when four other HVAC providers told us it could not be done using our existing ductwork. They also added devices that pulled air from outside filtered it through the systems MERV 13 filters and then through an Ionizer. Affordable Aire beat the quotes of 3 of the HVAC companies and the fourth just said it wasn't possible. The church thanks God and Affordable Aire for designing and installing a system that provides air quality they feel comfortable and less likely to contract COVID or some other sickness in.

Our HVAC system died at what was for us the worst time, the end of January. We frantically called a number of local companies asking for quotes and a family member recommended that we call Sean from Affordable Aire. Unlike the other companies Sean did not try to sell us his system, he took the time to understand our needs and then presented options. Once the decision was made on the unit, Sean cleared his schedule to accommodate our needs. He and his installation crew were very methodical and took the time to adapt our old infrastructure to the new system. This was above and beyond taking time that was not anticipated in the original quote but they wanted to make it the most efficient and did not charge us for the extra work. We are now 7 months into our system and have not had a single problem. Our electricity usage is down and we are very comfortable. All and all we cannot say enough good about the system and especially the service from Affordable Aire and we have and will continue to highly recommended them to our neighbors, family and friends.

My unit was not cooling our home. An unusual occurrence, since it's installation 5 years ago by Affordable Aire & Refrigeration. I gave them a call, explained the issue, and a technician was assigned the next morning. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous. All necessary parts and service were performed the same day to ensure we were safe. I received emails on the status of and received a call later to check the performance of my unit. I appreciate their dependability, knowledge and service to their customers. Recommend them for all jobs - large and small.

This company charges customers for hours not worked,and for parts never used. They have internal issues between owners and then blame employees for their mistakes. They claim to be Christian but I've heard no evidence to suggest they follow the teaching of their religion.

The tech that came to my home was polite and thorough. The work he did was high quality and he was careful to clean up when he was finished. I would definitely recommend this company.

The owner, Sean, came out to diagnose why our air conditioning system wasn't blowing out cold air. He replaced a bad capacitor, and brought the outside disconnect switch up to electrical code. His price was very fair, service was quick, and he was very professional. I will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Affordable Aire came out and did work for my business in Summer of 2016...First of all, they couldn't complete the job and told me to buy a new piece of equipment...then they said I could pay them $75 on the bill which I offered to pay full price but they said that was ok and just to give them my business in the future..so I paid the $75...then, another repairman came out to look at the piece of equiment and said Affordable Aire had put the wrong coolant in...so they flushed the coolant out and repaired the machine,,,it did not need replaced. Fast Forward to today 12/16/16...one of my coolers is down so I called Affordable Aire and was told they could swing by near the end of the day and put freon in it so we could get through the weekend...she told me to send an email...around 4:45 I called and she says she didn't receive my email although I sent it to the correct address so she hadn't scheduled anyone!! She tried to tell me she didn't know where my business was located so she couldn't have sent anyone which wasn't true. I explaines I was now desperate and she said she would see if anyone could come out. I tried to call Sean the owner on another number but the same lady picked up (this was after the first time when she hung up on me) ...I told her I wanted to talk to the owner and was uaset and she told me that he had told her earlier in the day not to do work for me because I hadn't paid their bill...what??? I HAD PAID it and she was LYING when she told me she hadn't received my email!! I became upset and she hung up on me...this business knows nothing about customer service!! Don't use them!!

Our HVAC system was not working properly.  We contacted Affordable Aire & Refrigeration and someone scheduled a service call for the same day.  The provider came out, checked the system and corrected the problem.  They were fast, courteous, and knowledgeable.  Next time there is an issue, they will be the first company we call.
