Do NOT recommend ? caused furnace damage and refused responsibility Edge Energy performed an energy audit at our home in January 2025 that resulted in serious damage to our furnace. The auditor failed to turn off the pilot light during testing?something our HVAC technician described as basic ?Furnace 101.? As a result, internal components burned and the furnace became inoperable. We had to pay out of pocket for the replacement part and hire a separate technician to repair the furnace. This left our family without heat for 1.5?2 weeks in January, while we were sick with the flu. During that time, we relied on borrowed space heaters, burned a full cord of firewood, and absorbed significantly higher electricity costs just to keep the house livable. Our total out-of-pocket costs were $3,000. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this directly, Edge Energy has not responded meaningfully and refuses to take responsibility. We are now filing a BBB complaint and pursuing recovery in Small

I have only the highest praise for the product quality from Sunpower and the Installation, service and support from the Edge Energy team. All my research indicated Sunpower was the industry leader, so it makes since they would only certify worthy companies to handle the installations and service. My 12.6kw system was installed in Jun'18, I've had a few start-up hick-ups, but Edge Energy helped me resolve over the phone or had someone out ASAP to make the repair. Even during the virus when service teams were being grounded; Edge Energy put me on a waiting list and immediately notified me when their techs could return. Finally, the techs I've spoke with are not a bunch of fly-by-night people; instead they are well educated and experienced professionals. If more stars were available, I would give them more!

We cannot say enough good things about Tony and Edge. The whole team was fantastic and respectful to our family inside our home. They quickly installed our system (22 panels) by the end of December so that we could get our tax credit! Everything went incredibly smoothly, and they were helpful along the way with educating our family about the system. We breezed through the inspections from the power company and the county with no issues, and our system has been up and running since then. Many of our neighbors have commented on how nice it looks. As a matter of fact, some of them didn't notice for a few days because they installed it so quickly and it blends in with our roof nicely, and it is on the front of our house. When we are ready to install another system, Edge will be the ones to do it!

I couldn't be happier with the work done by Edge Energy and its partners! When Henry came out to do the audit, he was professional, courteous and so witty. Then came the work. They installed a high-efficiency fan in my bathroom which is very quiet and looks very nice. In these trying times, the installer was outfitted for both of our protections. Then came the insulation. 17" of insulation in my attic and sealed up all of the places where cold air was coming in. They also installed a cover to the attic stairs with a zipper opening should we ever need access. They rerouted the venting in my bathroom fans and installed insulation in my basement. I know this will have a HUGE impact on my energy bills. Sarah May at Edge was wonderful in answering all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend them and in fact have done so to my neighbors and friends.

They're an excellent company, professional, competent, and knowledgeable. Their prices are quite reasonable, and they provide different options to consider. I recommend them highly.

The employees at Edge Energy were very professional and were competent at their jobs. Edge Energy was the second company I dealt with after having issues with the first company I contacted for work. I had no problems with Edge Energy.

Edge Energy has installed solar power system on three houses that I own. In each case, they did an outstanding job. Their crew is experienced and work very hard. They were very careful with my property and involved me in decision making when options were available. If you want the best, go with Edge Energy and SunPower.

Edge Energy did an energy audit for us, then sealed the house, installed a new roof with excellent insulation, and an ERV fan to ensure fresh air. They were a delight to work with throughout, very friendly and professional. We needed some follow up work due to quirks in the house, not bad work by Edge, and they did it promptly and without charge. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Excellent, knowledgable staff; Once permitting was complete (an very long process) the install went quickly. Staff were responsive and helpful. Their price was premium, but their guarantees are superior (last longer) than competition and in end they appear worth it.

It was very hard to get hold of this company. I called (no way to leave a message) and emailed...finally someone got back to me. It was said a 2 hr audit, but only half an hour. Did not seem to have checked every place (e.g., basement).

They did an extremely thorough job air-sealing my attic and crawlspace. They did well more than I expected and wouldn't leave until they were sure everything was right. Very professional!

We hired Edge Energy to do a full house remodel (3,000 sq. ft.,two floors, kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, breakfast space, four bedrooms, two full baths and a powder room, laundry room). This is a little outside their normal scope but we really liked the company owner, Jason Dispenza and he set up a favorable pricing schedule that didn't include some of the exorbitant management fees we have seen with other contractors. They started with an energy audit which helped to determine some of the aspects of the systems upgrades we would need. We changed the room configuration on both floors, replaced major systems (water heater, HVAC,electrical, etc.) replaced windows and put in new window openings, installed support beams, replaced the roof, insulation, electrical upgrade and lighting, replaced much of the hardwood flooring, drywall, paint and added a new front entry with a new porch. It was a major job which we lived through for months with the exception of about two weeks when the drywall work was being done. Our living there caused Edge some additional work, but they were considerate of protecting what remained in the house, and making the space as livable as possible. The result is beautiful and we probably have one of the most energy efficient homes in our area of Maryland. The Edge crew was great to work with, very considerate and careful to not disrupt our life more than necessary. Mike Hogan, the project manager was very good to work with, attentive to concerns and very responsive to suggestions. During many weeks we were talking daily. Most subs were very good as well- the HVAC, roofing and drywall guys were great. Our only concerns were with the plumber who delayed the project considerably and the final cost of the project was higher than the estimate we had originally received. I would highly recommend Edge Energy for their work and their customer responsiveness. They are technically highly competent and are very good people to work with.

EDGE did a very extensive inspection of our house looking for energy savings. We hired them to add insulation in attic and make other improvements. We had 4 guys working here for about 6 hours.

I used to walk around my daughter's neighborhood (down in California) and see dozens of solar-equipped houses with virtually 0 utility costs, thinking one day I'd love to have my own system. When I retired, I had lots of free time so I started thinking about home upgrades. I got quotes from several solar companies but nothing really worked out until one day, I heard about EDGE Energy from my neighbor across the street (EDGE had just installed solar on his house). I decided to look them up. Turns out they had the best deal and were offering high-quality products, so I went ahead and signed a contract with their "awesome" Solar Sales Manager Tony Colella. Working with EDGE Energy was a great, stress-free experience. On installation day, the crews showed up early in the morning and started working right away. One crew installed the panels while the other one was inside taking care of the wiring. They completed the job in no time and were very professional. Everyone I met was really nice, explained everything to me and answered all the questions I had. The inspector signed off on it without any issues, and Jody set me set up with my monitor. The office team was very helpful as well – Jari Beasley in particular, who took care of all the SREC paperwork after the installation for instance. I love my system, and check its production everyday first thing!

In 2013, I used Edge Energy and they did insulation and installed a new water heater. Just recently the blower on my heater went out and I called Edge Energy and spoke with Gary. He took my name and number and told me he needed to do some research considering it was over 2 years since they worked in my home. After a few minutes I received a call back and was informed that my warranty expired instead of Gary disconnecting the call he instead was calling to inform me that they would have a tech out to review the problem. The tech came out reviewed and ordered a part. The part was shipped to me the next business day and my water heater was working by that afternoon. I appreciate that despite the lack of a warranty they were still working to resolve the issue without hesitation. GREAT GROUP!

The representative was thorough in conducting the energy audit, and most informative on process and results. The crew who installed the insulation was meticulous about keeping the work area sealed off from the rest of the house, and quite courteous in my dealings with them.

I cannot give a complete rating, as I'm waiting for the report of yesterday's audit/inspection. But I was impressed with the thorooughness and detailed information given.

Prompt feedback on any questions. Team cleaned up after themselves each day. Talked through install process and ensured everyone in agreement before project was started. Would recommend them to anyone. Great value work done with exceptional customer service.
