CK Mechanical

Please note that I have used CK Mechanic since Scott started the company. He was my initial go to person for all of my ac and heating needs in my home. I have used the company for at least the last 20 years receiving good service, but expensive. Nevertheless, I contacted the company yesterday (11/4/25) to have someone come out to give me an estimate on what it will cost for a repair. The problem with my heating unit is that it blows out cool air and you can hear the furnace come on and off consistently all day long. The lady that I spoke with, who stated she was new could not find me in their system. In addition, she explained that I would have to pay for the truck, the distance and an hourly rate for the estimate. Most of which I thought was ludicrous. I proceeded to review the several receipts that I have from CK Mechanical and perused the website. There were no additional fees listed for a truck or travel distance. Also the receptionist stated that they no longer to private homes and they only work with businesses. However, she requested my information per Scott, in which proceeded to give her. In conclusion, CK Mechanical is no longer an option for me. Maybe a business can afford the additional fees for the truck and travel, but it is scandalous to me as a home owner. I wonder if thee BBC or FDC knows if this legitimate ti do to consumer’s. Therefore, I will be using space heaters this winter!

These guys are amazing. Showed up same day, quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem and effected repairs. Thoroughly cleaned the outdoor unit as well and advised of maintenance repairs we should consider. Price was more than fair and now we have a cool house again. We will ALWAYS call CK when we have HVAC needs / concerns.

By far - CK and tech Mark provided prompt and courteous above and beyond any I have received while living at the residence for over 30 years. CK Mechanical was super helpful when our HVAC unit was going up last year. They helped us do whatever we could to keep it working, and when it could no longer be saved, they were great in assisting us with a new unit! Great communication, service, and product! Will definitely use them again for future services.

Great company, great service. I came home to a chilly house. I called and someone came out within a hour. Found out my 24 year old furnace finally quit. Scott gave us a quote, and ordered our new furnace. Thry came out and installed it within one day. It was so nice to br warm. They cleaned up and was so great about answering all of our questions. Great staff and I highly recommend them!

I have used CK for my heating and air conditioning needs for several years. Last week I came home to a cold house and discovered that my furnace shut down and would not reset. Within a couple hours of my call, Steve responded and preformed a cleaning and service. He identified some issues and repaired them. He got my older system operating again. He and Scott found that my power vent had rusted and the fan had deteriorated. They cleaned it out the pieces and it ran much more quietly. They advised me to consider replacing it. Scott said he would order it when I was ready. Unfortunately, I came home to a cold house again today. The power vent gave up the proverbial ghost, and the furnace wouldn’t run. I was concerned I would be without heat because Scott would need to order the parts. The CK team literally went the distance, driving an hour one way to get the parts and get my furnace running again. I will ring in the new year in my warm home! Thank you CK! Your family run business treated me like family. You have earned my loyalty as a customer and a solid recommendation to anyone with HVAC needs!

Wow. Just wow. When you a buy a home and the inspector says everything is good you think you’re in the clear. Nope. In a handful of years everything needed replaced. Enter the ac unit. I called and it seemed like Scott was there immediately to help me. He attempted to repair. Sadly, a few hours later it was done for. I called after hours to request a replacement and he was there first thing with a new unit and got me cool again. Since both the ac and furnace were installed at the same time we requested a quote for the furnace as well. He explained the options and price points. Without being pushy helped us choose the right unit for our home and our wallet. He ordered it and had it ready for when we needed it. I called and Chris scheduled me asap! 2 technicians were sent out. They were on time. Very polite and professional and DIDNT LEAVE A SPECK of dirt behind. I’ve worked with a few service people and these people were hands down the best. Perhaps CK Mechanical could employ all trades so we never have to deal with sub-par service again.

Had a new AC unit installed. FIRST CLASS from start to finish. Scott was extremely knowledgeable and help to select the most efficient unit for my home. He gave me a fair price without having to haggle and did not try to oversell me. The crew was clean, polite and informative. No need to waste time and get several quotes like I did. Highly recommend these professionals for your HVAC projects.

CK mechanical has been fantastic. Every time I need them to fix something at my bakery, they are able to help. They are professional, understanding and very knowledgeable. I am quite pleased with their service and will continue to be a loyal customer. Highly recommend!!

Sent in a request on Sunday evening and promptly got a response from Chris to say they would call first thing in the morning to schedule someone to come out. Was called before 9 am and someone was here at my house before 10am. Diagnosed and resolved the issue with my gas furnace promptly and at a fair price. This is the second time I've used CK Mechanical and will go back to them when I am ready to have my HVAC replaced. Thanks again!

Scott and his 3 employees who came and installed my new furnace and air conditioning unit were awesome! I recently moved to Harford County and the first thing I did was get an estimate on changing my furnace from a Heat pump to a gas furnace. Scott was great and walked me through the steps I would need to take in regards to contacting BGE first and he also recommended a licensed plumber/gas fitter that he works with as well. He ordered my furnace in advance so that he would have it on hand after BGE completed their work and everything went smoothly. I will continue to use them in the future for any HVAC needs.

So happy with the service I received on my own home, I started using these guys on my rentals. They show up when they say they are gonna be there, tell me what needs to be done quote a good price THEN GET IT DONE! My tenants also have nothing but good things to say about CK MECHANICAL. They have put in a mini split system in a 100 year old house and have serviced central air in another and a gas furnace in another. Highly recommend!

I have been managing Homes of Towne Plaza for 28 years and have had a lot of HVAC companies do work for me and have had nothing but problems with them. CK Mechanical was referred to me by one of my suppliers around 10 years ago and I could not ask for a better company to work with. They came in and straightened out a lot of bad repairs from companies that did not know what they were doing. They are honest, do great work and their prices are good and fair. If you want your work done right and not get ripped off then CK is the company for you. I do not know how anyone could give them a bad rating for I have had nothing but great service from them.

The best HVAC company I have ever used! They have a group of super qualified technicians and respond quickly to my calls. They have done excellent work in both my commercial and residential segments and solve problems efficiently and effectively. I highly recommend!

CK Mechanical is Awesome! Period! Literally called them at 840 pm last night and Someone was calling me at 730 am this morning to see what I needed. They came out an hour later, showed me and EXPLAINED TO ME exactly what the issues were and got me taken care of efficiently and respectfully. Scott was very conscientious about social distancing, polite and informative. Honestly they have a customer for life now. I won't be calling anyone else in the future. It just felt like I was being taken care of properly without any pressing salesmanship or industry jargon. GREAT JOB CK MECHANICAL! THANK YOU!

I have my Master License in HVAC. But like Doctors, we have our specialties. I was way out of my lane and Scott at CK Mechanical rescued me. I'm so grateful and his wife heard the panic in my voice. Grade A service and personal. Again, I'm in the business, so I recognize quality.

This is the best and most honest company around. Great work and fair pricing. I have used them on many repairs and HVAC replacement over the years at my rental property.
