This is our second time with A&L. Outstanding experience!!! Luke was great and both he and Alex tackled the entire heating upgrade quickly, professionally, and on time! We required a new furnace as well as an attic heat pump system for our specific Cape home. We are now much more comfortable and the system is way more efficient! We will definitely continue to work with Luke and Alex for our maintenance.

We recently purchased a new home in Falmouth and had an issue with the heat this weekend (wasn’t coming on). I got A&L’s info thru a google search, texted late on a Friday evening and Luke responded at 3:30am that he’d be there Saturday morning. He came, quickly figured out the issue and resolved it within 15 min (a dirty sensor was preventing the unit from staying on). Excellent service, fast response and such a relief to get the issue addressed early on the Saturday of a long holiday weekend! Looking forward to making A&L our go-to for any future heat/ac needs. Great experience, highly recommend!

I have been with A&L Heating Cooling and Hone for 8 1/2 years. My commitment to this company is because of their reliability and excellent service. Whenever I needed service they were very accommodating and they resolved all issues efficiently. I never had to call them back after a service. They are experts in their business and it has been a pleasure to work with Luke and his team. I only trust them to service my equipment and they have done above and beyond to maintain my equipment. I recommend A&L Heating Cooling and Home if you want excellent and reliable service.

Back in that really cold snap at the end of January 2026 our heat pump went out and wouldn't kick back on. Fearing frozen pipes and a disaster in the house, we reached out to multiple heating companies who weren't experienced in our brand of heat pump. A&L was! Luke came as promised and diagnosed the problem...the entire heating system was wired wrong. He called in his team of people to assist. which needed an extra hand in his electrician Darnell Cauley who fixed the problem, installed new thermostats, rewired the system and took the worry out of having a heat pump. Luke will be servicing our system going forward and we have found an excellent electrician in Darnell to use for all of our other projects. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend A&L for your heating system and Darnell for your electrical needs. With service and expertise like this, you really can't afford not to use them.

Contacted A&L Friday evening of a holiday weekend for no heat on furnace on Cape Cod. Luke answered the phone, talked us through a potential temporary workaround, and came out early on Saturday morning. Luke found the issue right away and was able to get it working. Followed up by text later in tge weekend. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. Will use again if needed..

I wish I could say these guys were great as I support local business and I know all of those who work in the trades are hard workers. This being said we had a heat emergency on a Sunday - we looked up on google the phone number for the company we have a contract with and told them Hi we have a contract with you guys - this is our problem and here is our address can you help. A person came - looked at our unit and ordered a part to be picked up the next day. A&L showed up and replaced the part - it took them 2 hours and 7 minutes. They did not ask our names - or anything about our contract of which is not with their company and we still have no idea how and why they answered for the company we have an account with. We then received an invoice for over $2000. We asked for an itemized receipt as we thought the price was steep and we were never called and told how much it would be prior to the work being done. We were told they dont do that and that it would be the same price regardless. Feeling a little uneasy we requested an itemized receipt again - after consulting a few others, they agreed the price was very high. We received a text message later that evening - Luke called us SCUM BAGS amongst other nasty, extremely unprofessional words , told us he would put a contractors lein on us and take us to court. These message were also sent to us past midnight. All of this because we asked for an itemized receipt. Appalled and extremely disgusted by this behavior. Please do not use these guys. If they did this to us, I cant even imagine what they have done to our elderly and disabled folks nevermind all of the others of whom have been taken advantage of.

I've been working with A&L Heating for almost 8 years. They installed my minisplit system and perform the annual maintenance for the system - and they are located on the Cape! I've always found them to be professional, respectful, and responsive. I highly recommend A&L for all your heating and cooling needs!

Called on a Sunday night right before a big snow storm. Luke was very fast at responding to service at great price. Solved our problem. Will be setting up a maintenance checkup now as well. Thank you !

Be very careful of doing business with this contractor. The owner is extremely unprofessional and is probably the rudest, most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with even to the point of sending nasty emails at 12:00 am. I can show you the correspondence if you like. They grossly overcharged charge for the work/service that they provide. Do yourself a favor and do your research, see all the 1 star reviews it is not a coincidence. This is not a company that you should be dealing with.

Good work, good prices and good guys ! Read on..... I signed on with A&L three years ago, I enlisted them to install my new heat pump ducted system. They are personable guys, the price was excellent, their work was on time, neat, prompt and professional. AND they were very helpful with my Mass SAVE paperwork for me as well. The whole experience was flawless. I've often given their name to others. But wait, that's not all !!!! Fast forward to last week. I noted that the water pan under my HVAC system in the attic was full. I called Luke and told him the issue. He walked me through shutting the system down, explained possible causes and was here that afternoon to diagnose the issue in person. Parts in hand the very next morning, Luke came back and made the needed repairs to the drain pan. The system is working properly, the pan is dry and I'm cool . So aren't Luke and Alec ! Stop searching and hire A & L. You'll do well by them.

I am a Realtor and have used A&L for about 10 yrs now. They are very personable and professional. They respond very quickly to calls and texts. They do very professional work so I will always use and recommend A&L

On one of the hottest days of the summer, our ac decided not to work. We called A&L Heating and Cooling. We explained our problem and they sent out a technician right away. It was a simple fix and we were not charged for the visit. Luke was friendly and very professional. We were so pleased we will be using A&L Heating &Cooling Home Improvements for maintenance on our ac unit. Very pleased we made the decision to use them. Mary M

Very dependable and great service and willing to work around my schedual even if difficult i have been using them for a few years now wanted to have ac i didnt have to put in the window every year . Also got heating and has saved on my heating bill.

Luke, was timely with his response, and was successful in his troubleshooting why 1 of my 3 zones wasn’t heating up. So, he was able to diagnose and restore my third zone on an older (1974) boiler. Will be calling him for a new boiler when the time comes.

Huge thanks to Luke from A&L Heating and Cooling for coming through big time the day before the Fourth of July - right in the middle of a brutal heatwave. Our AC gave out unexpectedly, and we were worried we'd be stuck in the heat all weekend. But Luke showed up the same day we called, diagnosed the issue quickly, and had the system blowing cold air again in no time. He was professional, knowledgeable, and super courteous. You could tell he genuinely cared about getting us comfortable before the holiday. Service like this is rare - fast, efficient, and done right. Highly recommend Luke if you need HVAC help you can count on!

I can’t say enough great things about Luke from A & L Heating & Cooling, especially about Luke! He went above and beyond — coming out on his day off to help clean and service the central air at my rental property. He was incredibly attentive, thorough, and made sure everything was running perfectly before he left. It’s rare to find someone who takes that much pride in their work and truly cares about their customers. Highly recommend Luke and the entire L Heating & Cooling team!

We had an emergency at our house on a Saturday, where we lost our heat. Luke from A&L was there within a half hour after we called. He temporarily fixed the problem and then in the subsequent weeks, installed a whole new heating system! Very professional, reliable and quick to respond. I would definitely use A&L again!!

I live in Dennis, last year I paid $1400 to have somebody come and spend five minutes to fix my AC. This year, my AC STB…. as we all know who live on the Cape, it’s getting very hot I was fortunate enough to find Luke’s number… he was here within a day,diagnosed the problem and had my AC up and running within 10 minutes.. Lifesaver The bill was nowhere near!!what I thought I was going to have to pay. Courteous, Professional, he was also great with my dog! Which means a lot to me. I am obviously going to recommend him To everybody I know And if you’re reading this I would highly suggest that you call him if you have problems with your AC Six stars

A & L are the best! A month ago we lost heat and hot water on a weekend night on some of the coldest days this winter. I called a company we used before and was waiting to hear back from them. I started searching for someone else as I really needed to get this taken care of and I had not heard back yet from the other company - I reached out to A & L with no prior knowledge of them other than on-line and Luke got back to me immediately. He came over quickly, tried to problem solve the issue in the most cost effective way for me and after running into a hitch from our old system he did not charge me more even though it took him several more hours to change over the systems. In addition, he took care of a small plumbing issue in a bathroom while he was here for no charge. He is super responsive and did a great job. A & L will be our go to company moving forward.

My fingers have thawed enough to type—thanks entirely to Luke’s speedy repair of my home furnace. Though I called in desperation during the busy holiday stretch last week, he immediately picked up, was on site within an hour, and identified the problem right away. A major replacement part required overnight delivery, but less than 24 hours later, my home was warm and cozy again. I'm a happy first-time customer with A&L now saved in my contacts!

They always show up when I need service whether it is a holiday or the coldest day of the year . Very reliable and does a great and professional job all the time.

The saying, “Not all heroes wear capes,” is personified with A&L’s maintenance man, Luke. Luke not only fixed the problem, he showed me how my heater broke, explained what various parts did, and gave me tips on what I can do to prevent another emergency, all with a smile. He was swiftly responsive, professional, and respectful. He was honest, very fair, and gave no BS. I’m super grateful he was able to save the day as quickly as he did.

We were in a pinch when our AC went down during a very hot vacation week and A&L was quick to help. Luke responded very rapidly (where others did not) and came by same day to diagnose the issue. He was able get us up and running temporarily until a needed part came in. He was back the next day with the part and our house has been comfortable ever since! Thank you Luke and A&L! This is one of the most unprofessional businesses. I have never known a business who will only communicate via text messaging. Not everyone, especially the elderly, are accustom to doing business via text. Not being able to return a phone call to a repeat customer is pure laziness. When you’re in business, you should never be “too busy” to have the professionalism to do the courtesy of picking up the phone and actually speak to the person. I guess these people don’t know the importance of providing good customer service. So if anyone needs service but doesn’t have a cell phone or use text messaging, don’t expect a call back. There are plenty of other great customer service oriented businesses here on Cape Cod. If I could give a negative star rating, it would be less than “0” stars.
