Ace Cooling, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical

Chris was super nice and professional while my dogs decided to act like mannerless heathens. (They think everyone is here to visit them and were trying to demand his attention for pets until I was able to put them up and out of his way) He got us fixed up despite my brats barking and even went out of his way to go get my change because I only had cash on me when I agreed to have it mailed.

Our service tech, Josh Lavergne, was very professional and honest. He went above and beyond what we were expecting servicing both units, to make sure both were cleaned well. He was actually early for our scheduled appointment. We are members and would highly recommend it to others.

They checked it out and found the compressor defective. They checked the warranty and found that it was within the 10year warranty period. The compressor was ordered and arrived in 48 hrs. Replacement occurred the next day. I had called another A/C repair company 1st and was told it was not under warranty. That is why I called ACE for a 2nd opinion. Glad I did!

Workers were prompt, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. They represented Ace with outstanding friendliness. I highly recommend Ace, who we have used for years on annual preventative maintenance as well.

Misdiagnosed problem on first visit so had to schedule revisit. Changed condenser motor after having to order it. Charged $437 for a Chinese made universal motor that I found online selling for $65. When I questioned the price they said they had to order it from "the manufacturer". I have used this company for several years and never had a complaint. I understand that they are under new management since last year. I told them they have lost a loyal customer permanently and I will no longer recommend them to anyone.

They are the best air conditioning people in Lake Charles. They are always ready to help you, no matter of the time or what it is. They are very polite and thorough. They go over and beyond.

tech arrived on-time... asked questions about prior summers performance, asked if any we had any questions or comments and he explained what he was going to do to make sure that when he was finished, our AC was in the best possible shape to handle the summer demand that would be put on it via a Louisiana summer. and... it has performed admirably. <br />

The AC at our business stopped working. We called three different companies and Ace said they could come out that afternoon. They made their appointment as promised. Trouble shot the AC and determined which component they needed to replace and came back the next day with the part and replaced it

Was good and solved problem fast

Honest assessment, no-nonsense work ethic, fair pricing. These guys showed up on time and got to work and stayed at it until the work was done to my satisfaction. No goofing off or idle time. Gladly answered any questions I had, polite and respectful. A very pleasant experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Kind of a long review, but it is necessary in order for me to make some very important points about my experience with this company, and its personnel. First, let me say that this company was refreshingly prompt, honest, and easy to deal with from beginning to end. I am 63, retired and disabled, and money is tight. I discussed this with Mike during the estimate phase, and he promised to work up the fairest deal he could. He informed me that most of the ducts were torn up pretty badly - the initial complaint and why I had not had usable A/C all year. He also said the plenum box was in good shape and did not need servicing, except to adjust and balance the outputs, which he agreed to do as well. His check of the outside unit revealed it was low on Freon, indicating a leak somewhere in the system. He said that due to the age of the system - 19 years - he suspected the leak was in the evaporator. Now at this point, a less-than-scrupulous tech could have easily made an additional sale by advising me to change out the evaporator now before it failed completely, I was obviously hot and miserable, being without A/C all year, and would have agreed to most any suggestion if it would get me cold air today. But instead of taking advantage of my situation, Mike advised me that, despite the age of the system, it was running quiet and smooth and he suggested to just hold on to my money for now and keep running it. At some point, the evaporator would need servicing, but in his opinion now was not that time, it still had good life left in it. I was impressed and very thankful for his honesty and integrity. The crew arrived the next morning precisely on time. I want to give credit to his workers as well. They started as soon as they arrived and stayed at it. I saw no goofing off or idle time, and they were very courteous and respectful, even when I was in their way - I can not move very quickly. In the end, they did a fantastic clean up on the inside of the house and the yard and hauled off every bit of scrap material and debris - no evidence that any repair work had taken place. The total time from start to finish was about 3-1/2 hours. I mentioned at the start that Mike had promised to give me the best deal he could. Let me just say that he delivered on that promise, and then some. I could not be happier with the quality of their work, or with my decision to hire them. They have earned a customer for life, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing A/C service or installation. Great job guys! I am comfortable in my home again! Thank you so much! They stayed in touch. They let me know about a back order and when they thought the install would occur. I will use them again.
