I called because my heater wasn't working. Mike asked me to describe the issue and he was able to deduce that the sensor was dirty and it needed to be cleaned. He was honest and said I could probably do it myself instead of having to pay someone to come over. He was very patient and nice over the phone and explained where to look, what screw to focus on, and how to clean the sensor. Honestly I have no experience working with tools or HVACs. But Mike's instructions were easy enough that I was able to get the heater to work again in about 15 minutes. I really appreciated that he took the time out of his busy day to help me, and for free. It is so rare nowadays to find a contractor that will 1.) actually call you back and 2.) genuinely want to help you without trying to upsell you. He's made me a loyal customer for all future issues. We had a really positive experience with Steve and his team. After our new furnace was installed, we noticed the second-stage airflow was much louder than expected. Steve and his brother Mike personally came out to take a careful look and took the time to properly diagnose the issue. They rewired and installed the correct thermostat, fine-tuned the furnace settings, and made thoughtful adjustments to the air duct to address an airflow design issue. The system now runs much more smoothly and quietly. We were truly impressed by their honesty and professionalism. They were patient, explained everything clearly, and made sure the job was done right. I called at 5am this morning with my furnace out on the coldest day of the year. Mike got back to me right away and was able to diagnose the issue over the phone. Recommended a troubleshooting step and the furnace fired right up. He didn’t need to do that and could have come out and charged me a premium being a Sunday. Can’t tell you how impressed I am. I offered to send some kind of payment for his help and he refused saying he was just happy to help. Nice, honest people who have earned my business for all future needs.

The good reviews are legit. Steve and his team were great. Steve consulted with us and provided options to consider, even when the best option wasn't the most expensive one. He ensures you understand what every dollar means and is honest in wanting you to have the best quality and experience. We got a furnace and AC unit that works excellent on all floors. The installer team was efficient, respectful and clean.

I cannot say enough about Mike and his team. Not only are they extremely responsive, but they consistently perform extremely high quality work for lower prices than anyone else in the region. One time our AC froze up on a very hot summer day and Mike came out, diagnosed a dirty filter, and didn’t even charge us. He said it will thaw out and run ok. Anyone else would have charged us $200-$300 to add refrigerant, but not Mike. On another occasion, Mike walked me thru how to diagnose a short circuit over the phone (I have some electrical experience). He successfully talked me through the procedure and I was able to get our system up and running without needing a technician to come out. Mike and his team are exceptionally honest and transparent. I even have his number saved as “Mike, Honest HVAC”. We are planning to replace our aging furnace with him. Highly recommended for all HVAC needs.

My furnace went out on a chilly sunday. Instead of having to move our family overnight to a warm home, Mike was able to troubleshoot the problem in 5 minutes through the phone. It was a simple fix of the pressure tube having a hairline crack in it. He saved me valuable money and time. I am incredibly thankful for him and will absolutely use them again in the future.

In January ‘25 my nearly 20 year old boiler crashed. They worked diligently and got it cooking again. I was completely impressed by their professionalism and expertise. So much that I just had them here again in October to put in a new system. Matt & Filo did a great job and I’m warm as toast.

I called HCS on a Thursday and they were able to squeeze me in on Saturday. I thought my furnace was leaking water but it turned out to be a plumbing issue. Mike provided great customer service and didn’t even charge me a service call. Overall very happy. I will refer HCS to other people and use them in the future for my HVAC needs.

He took the time to explain the differences, including cost savings, on the different furnace and AC options. Out of all the quotes I received from various companies, he was the only one that didn’t try to sell me on a bunch of add ons and extras that I didn’t want or need. The crew that came out to do the installation were top notch and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly. They also walked me through how to register my new equipment for warranty coverage. I’m so glad I found this company through my neighborhood Nextdoor app as they had tons of recommendations from people in my neighborhood.

These guys are total Pros. They beat everyone else by at least 1000 dollars and didn't push a service contract at you like the rest. They don't overkill install with multiple guys because, being in the service industry , I know that a lot of times , one good tech is all you need. Ac is no different. My tech was sharp and knew his stuff. It's been almost three weeks since my ac install and my system is running perfectly. Use this company , you won't be sorry. Oh yeah , not one single BBB complaint either. Not many can say that. I would also say that if they needed to , they would send multiple techs , and their price would still beat everyone else. I know, I got three estimates from competitors.

An honest company with integrity! I called Home Comfort Systems for a second opinion after I was told my 14 year old furnace was failing and that I needed a new furnace. Not only did I NOT need a new furnace, Steve (the owner) from Home Comfort Systems took the time to explain to me exactly why. I was able to ask a ton of questions that he answered patiently and non-condescendingly i.e. no sell-job. It's rare that I think the positive reviews online live up to the hype...but the online reviews about Home Comfort Systems truly do live up to the hype. Steve is highly knowledgeable, he did NOT try to upsell us unnecessarily, and the install was done within 24 hours. He beat the quote of the company we've been working with for years, and I can't imagine going back to that company now that we have been introduced to Home Comfort Systems. We highly recommend! I just had a new furnace, a/c and humidifier installed by Home Comfort today. My furnace died Sunday am (25 yrs old), I called, and right away, Steve (the brother who does Sales) came out and priced us some new equipment. I wanted it the whole house system done at once, and the price was right, so Tuesday, his installer, Al was at my door by 8 am and had everything installed by around 3:20 pm. Love my new HVAC System. Home Comfort is A+++++ If you want a trustworthy, price-conscious, and reliable company, look no further. I wish they did everything for houses.

Home Comfort Systems is a professional company. Steve came over on Sunday was very professional and easy to deal with. Gave us a good quote and by the next day Monday morning our new American Standard AC was installed professionally. Good quality work and professionalism. No hidden charges, price included every thing. They gave us such a great warranty and price that I canceled immediately other contractor estimates appointments. What can I say. I hired Home Comfort Systems to install a brand new HVAC system earlier this year (March 2022). My furnace had suddenly died during the coldest week of the winter. Steve and his brother Mike helped me understand what the issues were and what my best options were to either repair or replace my system that was 20+ years old. I opted for a brand new furnace, blower, AC, humidifier, and air filter system. They were not pushy at all and offered the best prices compared to two other big name companies in the area. Highly recommended.

My 20-year-old central air unit finally stopped cooling. I asked my neighbors and I checked local Facebook groups and the one name that popped up repeatedly with excellent reviews was Home Comfort. They came out and diagnosed for a reasonable fee, and provided me with options. No hard sell, no upsell, just neighborly honest and sincere assistance. I opted to go with a new AC system at a very competitive price with a great warranty, installed the next morning. The technicians on the install were friendly, knowledgeable, and took obvious pride in their work. Other than everything looking new, you would never know that anybody was here because they left everything cleaner than they found it. I cannot recommend them enough.

While I was super pleased with the install quality and price of my furnace and A/C, I have to withhold my full endorsement upon finding out how they handle their scheduled maintenance. I scheduled a furnace check several months ago (that's how backed up they are) and they were not able to give me anything more specific than a 9-hour window during which they would arrive. I even called the morning of my appointment to see if there was an update to a somewhat more specific time frame, but no. The vibe was very much, "This is how it is, and that's the way you'll have to take it." Perhaps technicians are in such short supply that indeed the customer does have to take what he can get in regards to customer service. But it feels very off-putting. My impression of the company had been sky high. Now I'm at best a tepid supporter, forced to wait *all-day* within 20-minutes of my house for routine maintenance.

We were in need of a new HVAC system to replace our 35-yr old Carrier system. Got quotes from three other contractors before talking to Steve B from Home Comfort. Steve has an impressive depth of knowledge of HVAC systems based on his 50(!) years of experience in the business. While he quoted us the best price among the vendors we spoke with, it was really the total package including experience, product quality, customer reviews, and warranty coverage (10 yrs parts and labor) that led us to go with HCS. We decided on an American Standard 96% AFUE gas furnace and A/C with a SEER2 of 14, controlled with a Honeywell Wifi thermostat. The installation was done by a two-person crew working from 8am to 5pm. We've used the A/C for about a week now. The quiet operation of the compressor and multi-speed blower, and the evenness with which the system maintains a set temperature are really impressive. Very pleased with the overall experience and highly recommend Home Comfort Systems.

If you need HVAC service/repair I HIGHLY recommend this company. This morning we woke up to a cold house (60) and cool air blowing out the vents. When Mike called me back he was patient and troubleshooted with me over the phone. He is a former teacher and excellent to work with. He told me exactly what to do and patiently waited for me to do it and report back what happened. Then he told me exactly what to do to FIX IT MYSELF! Yes, you read that right. He will only come out and charge for an in person visit if it’s truly needed. If it is something that the homeowner can safely do, he will give you the instructions on how to do it yourself! Now that is good service! You may wonder if that was a one time thing…it’s not. He has helped me on 3 different occasions to fix something over the phone so he didn’t have to come out and charge us for something we could do ourselves. Our extended family has used them for 25 + years and will happily recommend them over and over.
