Gagne is the best HVAC company I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My experience started with Rick, who quoted me on some indoor air quality products and a new gas furnace. He spent a lot of time with me to make sure I understood what I was getting, and how it compared to the alternatives. He also came prepared with lots of other useful information about HVAC work, like what due diligence questions you should ask any contractor you work with, what their standard work scope is (also shared by the other two companies I was quoted by, but Gagne's is one or two cuts above), and which companies in the area are owned by PE (not all PE Is bad, just understand owner incentives). They installed the new equipment today, and the installation quality from John, Rusty, Tyler, and Philip is BEAUTIFUL and FUNCTIONAL. The plenum box they built contained dampers, I didn't even ask for those. Lots of neatly applied mastic on all the equipment connections, whereas my old furnace was leaky and connected with duct sealing tape. John's installation for our steam humidifier was so thoughtful and immaculately executed: he picked up some copper line for the cold water intake (not included with the OEM kit), asked me where & how I wanted everything routed, and covered details of operating the unit with me. He tied the copper line to the wall with metal anchors and electrical taped the contact points to avoid galvanic corrosion. John then troubleshooted some wiring on my existing thermostat to make sure everything operated smoothly. There were so many instances today during installation where it dawned on me how thoughtful their process is, from end-to-end. For example: (1) their use of Daiken furnaces with stainless steel heat exchangers, which are less likely to crack (potentially leaking CO into your house) and have a lifetime warranty, (2) their future proofing of my system with this furnace which will mate nicely with an inverter AC unit down the road when our AC reaches end-of-life, (3) some unprompted (but welcome!) quick tips from Rick on how to maintain my specific AC outdoor condenser, which they didn’t even install (!), and (4) their sealing of all the components together so the system would not pull in attic air. You would hope that this level of quality would be at least somewhat normal but in my experience with some other players, it is not. You would think all of this would cost an arm and a leg, but their pricing was quite reasonable. During the quoting process Gagne was my third quote; I actually cancelled my 4th & final in-home estimate after Rick walked me through their process and pricing. I truly got the feeling that all of these folks were recommending and installing products in a manner they would want done in their own homes. Of course nobody wants to pay for HVAC, especially if it’s an unplanned expense when it’s super hot or cold outside, but if you need any work done on your home’s systems I highly highly recommend working with Gagne.

I’ve been doing business with Gagne Heating & Air Conditioning for about 10 years, and they continue to be outstanding. 10 years ago, I needed a brand new AC/heating system, and they were amazing from day one. Their customer service is consistently strong, their technicians are knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with, and the warranty I’ve had with them all these years is worth its weight in gold. What really sets them apart is how proactive they are — they regularly reach out via text and email to remind me when my bi-annual check-ups are due. It’s one less thing I ever have to think about. Because they’ve been so reliable over the past decade, there was never any question about who I’d use again when it came time for an upgrade. Most recently, they removed my manual damper and converted the system to an automatic zoned setup. Their pricing was very competitive, the quality of the work was outstanding, and they completed the installation the same week. He was on time, respectful of our home, and very thorough in his inspection and repair. He explained the problem in plain language, showed me exactly what he was doing, and made sure I was comfortable with the cost before proceeding. I had concerns about an existing thermostat that was installed in June 2025 by another company, I called Gagne and they came out the next morning. Tripp spent a lot of time examining my 16yr old system, taking photos and then doing a thorough review with me. Since my system is older, he thought it best to keep the thermostat in place, he did reconfigure the settings so that it would perform more to my expectations. I appreciate his time and patience and will be a new Gagne customer.

A few weeks ago, Tanner came and really walked me through the issues with our existing units. He was so thorough and knowledgeable. Then Rick came to educate me on possible new furnace options. Also top-notch, no pressure, just friendly, informative and detailed. After we chose our furnace, the next day the crew came with Trey and installed our new furnace. They had to put in a new line and were here working hard for probably 9-10 hours. They took the time at the end of a long day to show me their work and how to use the thermostat. Very professional and customer-oriented. Go with this family-owned company, you can tell the difference.

Extremely happy with the service received, both by dispatcher and actual service technician, Tanner. Called mid morning and was told I couldn’t get a time slot until 4pm but they’d try to work me in sooner, Tanner arrived around 2-3pm and immediately diagnosed and began fixing the issue. He also looked around at other units and discovered smaller issues that were affecting HVAC performance. Jumped right in to address minor issues and completed the work quickly. Will definitely use for other needs moving forward.

Gagne was amazing at quick response and great service. They were able to fit us in late afternoon to diagnose and get a new furnace installed the next day.

Gagne Technician Bob was awesome. He's very personable, and arrived when he said he would. Bob was professional and took care to cover his shoes upon entering the house. Glad I was referred to Gagne Heating & Air Conditioning.

Please be cautious and get everything in writing—by email or text—before proceeding with any service. We were told the service charge would be $79, and that it would only apply if we decided not to proceed with the repair. If we approved the repair, there would be no service fee, and we’d just pay for the repair itself. The technician who came out seemed knowledgeable and recommended replacing the thermostat. I asked him at least three times about the cost of the thermostat, and he repeatedly said, “Don’t worry, let’s get it fixed first and then we’ll talk about the numbers.” After the work was done, they charged $313 for a non-smart thermostat, and the invoice totaled $442 ($313 for the thermostat and $129 for the service fee). When I called their office the next day and said I wanted to return the thermostat because the charge was excessive, they agreed and said they would deduct it from the invoice. I promptly returned it, but then they sent an updated invoice for $363.46, now listing $129 for the service fee and $234.46 as labor. They also changed their explanation, saying $79 is for residential service but $129 is for commercial service—something that was never mentioned in the initial call . To top it off, they continue to send texts and emails asking me to sign up for a service plan. From the initial call to the final invoice, it was one surprise after another. The entire experience was non-transparent and misleading. I spoke with one of their managers and made it clear I will not be doing business with them again. ⚠️ BEWARE — you have been warned.

It's not everyday that i come across a company that feels honest and caring like Tripp did today. He was very detailed and ensured that my unit was working well and didnt have the issues the other company stated. I will be changing service providers to them going forward. Adrian did a fantastic job! Not only did he show up quickly on a Saturday night, he called and told me exactly what time he’d be here. He worked quickly checking our ac unit in the attic and confirmed the problem was outside. He took pictures along the way and showed me exactly what he was seeing. Once he fixed the issue and confirmed everything was working, he went over his assessment and recommendations. He quickly wrote up our job for today and included his recommendations and the price in the quote so we could review them for later. In a world where many home service providers are snake oil salesman, it’s nice to have a company you can trust!

I have a service contract with Gagne, and this service call was to prepare for the upcoming heating season and make sure the furnaces, fans, and thermostats were working, change air filters, etc. Greg, the service technician, arrived precisely on time and all checked out OK. He left a complete report of the two units he serviced. It was easy to arrange the service, and everything went as expected and to my complete satisfaction.

Everyone I came in contact with were professional, friendly. I was impressed with Tripp the service technician, he was knowledge and explained the process to me. I could not be more pleased with Gagne AC, if you are looking for a great company don't hesitate to give them a call.

Great experience on first routine Fall service visit for our four units in the main house and two in the guest house. Gary was thorough and careful, found one repair needed but not urgent. Paid for this service plus future Spring service, which is typical.
