We have a service contract with CAC. On September 23, 2025 we called CAC because our refrigerator water dispenser was not working, the water was just dripping. The technician that came out look at it and said it needed the water filter housing. The thing is that he never diagnosed the problem, he just assumed that that was the problem. The next day his office called and said that the part was going to be $309.00. We agreed to that and they ordered the part. A week or so later another technician came out with the part to be installed, but before he installed it he went and troubleshooted and find out that he didn't needed the filter housing and all it needed was a new filter. He installed the new filter and told us that he will return the filter housing and get us a credit for the part. We didn't hear from CAC for a couple of weeks, so we called them to find out when we were going to get a credit on the part. At that time we were told that they were working on it. A few days later we got a credit of $53.65. We called them back and ask why we were getting just that amount when we had paid $309.00 and a new filter cost $58.00. We were told that, that's all we were going to get. The woman on the phone was very rude and end up hunging up the phone on us. We tried calling a few times back again but got the same rude treatment. We have asked for an invoice but they refused to give us one up to now. I don't recommend doing business with CAC. Their service is terrible and the office staff are rude and not helpful at all.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is the most uncaring appliance repair company I have ever dealt with. I have had a service contract with this company for years, and this experience ensured I will absolutely not be renewing. The initial service call for my washing machine was on November 21. The technician misdiagnosed the problem, the company made me wait a week for the install appt, only to say that the part they ordered would not fix my issue. Then they properly diagnosed the problem and once again made me wait a week, only for the technician to discover the office had ordered the right part but for the wrong model number, so it didn’t fit. Another completely avoidable mistake. When the correct part was finally ordered, customer service refused to expedite shipping, so I had to wait another 10 days for the technicians to come out and finally fix my washer. The problem was ultimately resolved on December 19, NEARLY A MONTH after my initial call—not due to complexity, but due to repeated errors and a complete lack of urgency. Throughout this ordeal, the woman in customer service who handled my calls wouldn’t even pretend to care. She was dismissive, unapologetic and offered zero solutions. When I asked to speak with another customer service agent, I was flatly refused. The service technicians are mostly good and always nice but the customer service/office staff negate any goodwill the technicians create and ultimately ruin the customer experience. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY!

Had an excellent experience from start to finish! Our AC unit had died for good and we called them for a quote. The employee who gave us the quote and the two technicians that installed the unit were very professional and courteous. Those technicians had to work in a ridiculously hot attic in a ridiculously hot house and finished in one day! Did my research on price and they were reasonable and I got the FPL rebate .

Elderly mother purchased a brand new A/C from this company 3 years ago. She also purchased a service contract. The A/C broke and they charged $900 for labor. They said the part is under warranty, but the labor is not. A good company would work with the manufacturer and get reimbursed for the labor. This is not the customer’s fault. I requested to speak with the owner, but the manager stated she does not know when he will be in to work.

Aweful serviece, dishonest. They did a routine maintenance for my house 4 weeks ago, supposed to clean things properly and claimed my fan and fan motor was on the way out for a 3-year AC unit. After the rountine maintenance charge, I paid for a seperate $200+ for the labor and the parts were under warrenty. Then AC kept shutting down past Friday night. I found someone else to come out on Saturday for they CAC dont work on weekends. It turned out CAC have never cleaned my drainline. Very dirty. Condensorr service panal had so much dusts in there. WOW, what a dishonest company.

If it was possible to give this company a zero rating I would. Absolute crooks. Showed up only to tell me it had been drizzling therefor it was unsafe to look at my unit and they would have to reschedule (as the sun was shining) only to add I would have to pay for the service call because I answered the door. Tech and customer service so incredibly rude. Horrible Horrible People

Cac is excellent I had called them because dishwasher leaking hose and within 2 hr s a very competent tech stopped the leak. Also recently had a stuffed toilet took care of that as well in a timely fashion. I rate them 5 stars.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I had a service contract with Regional Air for the last 10 years and received excellent service. When CAC purchased Regional Air, I purchased a maintenance contract with them to continue the service The first service I received was awful. I am not even sure what the technician did when he was here. He spent most of the time on his phone doing personal business. I had an American Standard clean effects cleaner on my unit which he didn’t know how to open and then didn’t close properly either. 3 months later the unit stopped working. Drain pipe was clogged. Never had this happen in the 10 years I owned the unit. Called them at 4:56 pm on a Thursday and get their recoding that they are already closed. Opted for an after hours call, waited 10 minutes for someone to pick up and no one ever did. Had another A/C company come out and they cleared the drain line. Clearly the CAC tech never did it. Worst company ever. Stay away.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We scheduled this company to fix our A/C in a two-story building during a brutal Florida summer — our home was 93 degrees inside. The technician shows up, realizes the compressor is on the roof, and casually says he doesn’t have a ladder. You are an A/C company in Florida — how are you not equipped for a rooftop unit? To make matters worse, instead of trying to resolve the issue, he tells us he “doesn’t have time” and starts walking off. My boyfriend had to leave work and bring his own ladder just to keep the tech from abandoning the job. We literally had to chase him down in the parking lot to stop him from leaving. His excuse? “I’ll come back in two days.” Two days?! In this heat? There’s no way this was a scheduling issue — you were here to fix the A/C. If you're not prepared to do the job, don’t accept the call. Completely unprofessional, unprepared, and inconsiderate. Save yourself the frustration and hire someone competent who actually comes ready to work.

Completely agree with other reviews. We should have read the review before signing the service agreement. They showed up late and gave a bad attitude. They did not complete the jobs we initially asked for. So regrated. it's no worthy for us to tell our horrible experience.

I had a technician at my home today, I was informed I have to have some parts order to be able to have my AC fixed. I received a phone call from an employe who mentioned the cost would be $347.00 part and labor. I requested to have an email sent to me indicating the total cost for Labor & parts @ $347.00. The person was very rude and Obnoxious. She refused to send me an email. The only thing she wanted was a credit card number to be able to order the parts, Which was fine but I still would like an email Confirming what needed to be done with cost. As a customer of many years, I've fine the employees that answered the phone are so rude. There are many other air conditioning in service Companies, CAc is not the only one. This satisfied with the service

We have a service contract with Central Air Conditioning, Inc. (“CAC”) to cover repairs for the past several years. Our contract says repair/replace. We have been happy with CAC until today. Two weeks ago, there was a loud noise from the washing machine. It looked like there was a lot of debris in the bottom of the tub. CAC came the same day, examined the machine and ordered parts. Today the technician came with the parts. He banged away for 30 minutes before saying he needed more parts, and the office would call me. The office called and told me the parts needed are no longer available from the manufacturer and they could not fix the machine. I asked if they were going to replace the machine, the answer was no. I asked if they were going to offer a credit, the answer was no. They don’t cover plastic parts. This was new to me as I saw repair/replace on the front of the contract. I remember asking if they will repair or replace. I should have read the tiny print on the back and got clarification when I purchased the contract. I thought the contract was misleading. After going back and forth several times I asked why they didn’t say all this 2 ½ weeks ago. The new machines were on sale. The company representative said she can’t believe the machines went up in price in 2 weeks. I told her the difference was $35.00 per machine. Then she said something extremely inappropriate. She said, “you can use your senior discount”. While not happy that they will not repair/replace my machine, this is not the level of customer service I expect to receive from a service provider.

CAC Air Conditioning is a textbook example of price gouging in South Florida. Their quotes are outrageously inflated compared to other reputable companies, and when you question the costs, their customer service turns downright hostile. Calling them for help feels like an inconvenience — to them. To make matters worse, after renewing my AC contract with them for $375, I tried to cancel just two weeks later. They flat-out refused to prorate or refund any portion of the payment. That’s not just bad business — it’s predatory. Save yourself the money and the headache. Avoid CAC at all costs.

Around April 2014 I contacted CAC Air-conditioning for a quote on an installation of a new unit. I was quoted a price and advised that a government subsidy applied and the price reflected that subsidy. Upon insulation I was told my unit did not qualify for the government subsidy, and the office staff had made a mistake, thus, I paid the full price. As a snowbird, I returned north in May and returned to Florida in November. Today on November 21 the temperature in Florida dropped, and I turned my heat portion of my unit on. It did not respond. I contacted CAC and was told by the receptionist that I had to wait 20 minutes or more for the heat to respond. This seemed very strange and definitely unacceptable. I told the receptionist that I wanted to escalate this to senior management in the company and was treated poorly and argumentatively and hung up on. I have now done as she advised and Left the unit set at 80°. It is now a day later and still no heat. I will contact the company again and update this review as I go.

If i could give 0 stars I would. Called to get AC fixed. Was told they would come same day if I could get key to the roof, Got the key to the roof and Surprise surprise, no more appointments available. Next availability is 5 days away. Ridiculous, do not waste your time.

Person driving the van for this company took a wrong turn on the highway and decided they wanted to illegal merge back onto the highway . Crossing the double white lines, they merged into traffic and slammed on their breaks, nearly causing me to crash. When I honked at this illegal activity, the driver flicked me off. If they are this reckless and unprofessional driving to a job, I can’t imagine the work they perform. If you are going to drive like a reckless jerk, don’t do it in a car with your logo on it.

BAD, BAD, BAD customer service, knowledge of technicians, and office reps. When you ask a question they don't like, they actually hang up on you. Very RUDE. Charged us $692 labor even though we had a contract with them. They replaced the wrong part, charged us another$692 labor for the correct part! I've disputed this on my credit card, contacted BBB, and BBB us really trying to help me get my money back for the wrong part! I'm also calling local TV station to do an investigative interview with them. Don't even THINK of doing business with this rip-off company!

I’ve been a Warranty contract holder for several years and each year I’m not sure why I re-sign up!!! Getting a timely appointment becomes impossible and then they cancel them last minute and then they don’t arrive with the appropriate supplies or tools necessary to do the job. Very disappointing!

I'm surprised there are only a handful of reviews since this company has been around a long time. We recently moved to Boynton Beach from NJ and CAC was recommended by friends. We took out the one year maintenance agreement and have used them a few times for AC and washer issues. Very satisfied with their technicians and service. We needed emergency service on a Sunday when the compressor stopped working and temp was 85F. Faith, one of the managers in the office was able to get someone to come out and fix the unit in a few hours. Our washer does not have a fabric softener slot, and the tech gave her an Amazon part number to solve the problem. Just surprised with some of the negative reviews, since we have been happy with the service.

I have had them since 2021. They have been stellar for me. I have 3-4 issues with plumbing burst and leaking shutoffs they came immediately to rescue. Did not even have to pay for the part. Their are certain things in the maintenance policy that they cover 100% and their are other stuff that they are not as competitive on. I had a broken control panel on a brand new microwave that was over 1 yr old and out of warrantee. it would have cost more money to have them get me the control panel part and replace it than buying a whole new microwave. So what did I do? DIY videos on youtube to replace existing microwave control panel. After a couple of screws removed I replaced the part myself. for $125.00. As far as I am concerned they are better than the average service company out there.

WARNING: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you’re looking for poor service this is your company. Despite having a service contract with them AND their website saying “We also have service available 24 hours a day 365 days a year so you never have to worry”, when the a/c broke at my 81 year old mother’s house at 4pm on a Wednesday I was told ‘read the contract. It’s in black and white and says “weather and labor dependent.” Call back tomorrow after 8am.’ As I pleaded for help based on the temperature up to 86 degrees INSIDE the home I was told, ‘I know how hot it is, I’m a lifelong Floridian.’ How embarrassing that this is how consumers are treated. My warning: Stay away from these creeps.

I foolishly signed up for a service contract with this company two years in a row. I should have opened a window and thrown my money out of it. I have minus zero confidence in their technicians’ skill level. The first year, I only needed my air conditioner maintenance. The man was here for 10 minutes max and spent 5 of those 10 minutes trying to sell me an ultraviolet unit. The second year, my air went out but came back on several hours later. They would not send anyone out to check the unit because it was working again--heavens we should do any preventative work! Later in the summer, the air went out again. The same man who came last year came again. He ran in jiggled something, and the air kicked on, but water started to splash. He wiped it and started to pound something. When I asked him about what he was doing, he grumbled something I couldn’t understand, and he quickly left. When I looked at the opening to where my unit is, I saw the frame was now falling down—I had to get my neighbor to help me temporarily secure it. Two weeks later, my downstairs neighbor told me their ceiling was leaking. The leak was coming from my air conditioning unit—the pipe had separated. It was a Saturday, so when I called CAC, they couldn’t promise anyone could come out that day; and, if they did, it would be an extra charge. I called another company. They came out by noon and said my line was backed up and the pressure caused the pipe to separate. The line looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time—so much for the maintenance CAC performed. I spent almost $2,000 for the other repair and the repair to my neighbor’s house. When I contacted CAC, of course, they denied any responsibility. When I asked for a prorated refund of my contract price, they offered me $150 from the $425 I paid a month earlier. The only time they came out in that month was the air “repair,” which caused so much damage. Again, I foolishly stayed with them, thinking I’d use them for my other appliances—but certainly not for my air conditioner. When I called because my refrigerator was making unusual noises and my ice cream looked like it was melting and refreezing, they said they don’t come out for those reasons—only if the refrigerator was not cooling at all or was leaking. Last month, I received a renewal contract, and yesterday they left a voicemail message asking me to renew--no way!

Worst customer service. Made an appt to have my AC tuned up for the summer. Made the appt for a Monday between 10am and noon. No one shows up. Can’t get anyone on the phone. Finally at 1pm after an hour someone answers and tells me oh technician will be there between 2 and 4! I said thanks for letting me know! Took the day off from work for this. Couldn’t care less attitude. I wait again. Finally at 3 I call again. Is he definitely coming? Oh I don’t know is what they tell me! I said forget it I’ll find someone else. Then an hour later a different girl calls me and says oh he will be there later. Do these people even talk to each other??? I said forget it! I wasted the entire day with this!!!! They never apologized. Couldn’t care less. Don’t use them. Plenty of other companies more professional!
Google
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Extremely unreliable and not at all competent with A/C repairs. The company has no sense of urgency when it comes to fixing an A/C. The problem with my A/C could have been fixed in 72 hours. Instead, I waited 11 days for them to fix my A/C and still had to call a technician back 10 minutes after he left because the A/C shut off again!
