Our heater stopped working in the evening and house temp was in 50’s. I called after hours and Ed called moments later. He explained the cost of immediate service and cost or if I was able to request for the next day. We decided to wait and when I called to schedule a service call, we were proactively put on the schedule. Service Tech Chris was timely, professional and knowledgeable. He solved our issue and restored our heater. We were very pleased with the sense of urgency and quality of services!

Sobieski did the HVAC/ insulation on my new construction home in 2021. Every summer, there have been condensation issues in the basement bathroom. Multiple technicians have been out and "fixed the issue," but it is still occurring. The last technician quite literally said he watched a YouTube video about exhaust fans while installing a new exhaust fan for us. The company as a whole is incompetent, hard to communicate with, and takes no accountability for their wrongdoings. Absolutely steer clear of them if you want your work done correctly and do not want to waste your money.

Annual maintenance contact to service furnace and warranty. Requested them to look at a leak- they came out and indicated it was a crack in the piping. Have waited over 2 weeks and no estimate or call with information. They have promised to call back, but it’s been crickets. I would be guarded to trust this company on any warranty or service contract claims.

I have a service contract with them. I called when my AC broke down on a Saturday afternoon. Made several calls since then (It's Sunday) and no one has gotten back to me. I called two other AC companies and both called me the same day. I selected one who repaired my AC the same day. I had to pay a premium because my service contract was not with this other company. Yet, I have one with Sobieski and no one has reached out to me. I'm ending my service contract immediately. Is it an extreme coincidence that Sobieski made a regular semi annual service call just a few days before the unit breaks down? I also have been given misleading information about another work order to relocate the outdoor condenser unit. They gave me an estimate, scheduled the service, then called me to ask me if I had installed the "barriers" yet. I had no idea I had to install barriers. They didn't provide me any specifications for them. I asked why I needed barriers, they said it was to meet building code. I asked for the specific code they were referring to. They couldn't tell me and wouldn't provide specifications for the barriers. I contacted Sussex County in writing and they responded in writing, there is no such code. I called Sobieski back to inform that of this news and asked when they could schedule the work order. They never called me back on that either.

Scheduling the install date took a little longer than I would have liked, but the installation went well. System has been working well for the last 6 months or so.

I had an appointment within 2 days, and the valve was replaced by Donovan.

We've used Sobieski Plumping in the past, I believe four times. Obviously, we're happy with the company or we wouldn't keep going back. This time everything appeared to be fine when the technician left but a few days later the problem returned. We called Sobieski and they sent Tom M. Everyone from the receptionist down to Tom was extremely courteous and responsive. Tom looked things over, explained what he was going to do, and then did it. We weren't charged any additional amount for the fix and Tom left behind two very satisfied customers.

I went through the Costco supplier program, and I trusted that they had done a good job of vetting their contractors. I paid $24k for new HVAC system, and to this day, it has never worked at all. It was installed in the fall of 2015, and Sobieski is out at my house trying to fix something that has gone wrong. The install was a mess. A whole house humidifier was installed improperly. The unit was attached in very close proximity to the electronics of the hvac system. The humidifier leaked, and shorted out the heat pump. It took a year for one of the better technicians to figure this one out. I call them 1-2 times per season to come out a address a system failure. The only good thing about going through Costco was the 10 year parts and labor warranty. After spending $24k on the unit, I would be out of pocket several thousands of dollars by now, with a standard one year warranty. A technician came out to my house last wee fix a problem which has been unresolved for 4 months, and he left without a solution to the problem. I would never use Sobieski again. The $24k HVAC system has never worked for more than 3 months at a time.

We've used them for the last few years.

Unfortunately they found a lot of problems with the AC system that were so expensive to fix, that I decided to buy a new unit rather than fixing the old one.

Asked them to come back out after the a/c that they had serviced the year before was no longer blowing cold air. Was told their soonest date was 1 week out and was given a 4 hour window for the technician to arrive. Took off the morning from work to be there for the technician. 4 hour window ended with no technician. Called the front office and once they reached the technician was told he would be 30-45 minutes. Technician finally showed up over 90 minutes after the 4 hour window. No apologies or any gesture was made to address his lateness, but he was quick to "remind" me about the $99 dispatch fee. After 45 minute inspection, technician informs me there's a leak somewhere in the system, I shouldn't waste my money on fixing leak or recharging system because i should decide to buy a whole new unit (inside and outside) right then. When I told him the outside unit had just been replaced about 3 years ago, he tells me it's outdated and I should just replace the whole thing. I tell him to just recharge the system and pinpoint the leak. 2 more hours , and over $400 later, my a/c appears to be functional again. I never made it to work, so I lost an entire day. I won't be calling Sobieski again.

Technician was on time and professional - our issue is with the company's approach and billing structure. The tech was onsite for a few hours to detect what was causing the blocked outdoor drain. He was unable to determine what was happening and recommended that they return with a camera to investigate further. The other option was to crack up our concrete and dig (without really knowing where the problem was). While on site he did replace a leaking pressure relief valve and took a quick look at a faucet we were having trouble with, so I'd say the tech intended to be helpful. However, after $600+ for that visit (including the $100 service call fee) we had no answers and no solution. The cost to return with a camera was $400. So, after $1,000 maybe we would know what the problem was? Of course, the repair would have been more. Today we had Roto-Rooter on site and they were able to flush the drain at half the price.

They come out twice a year. The have been good. One person came out and it took an hour. He left the area very clean.

They do what they're supposed to do, they check and make sure that it's working properly.

They had to reschedule once on me. Then they said and I confirmed with them again that their representative would call me before going to the house, so that I could be there. They did not. I received a call after their inspection of the issue and they Were completely wrong with what needs to be fixed and were ready to charge me hundreds of dollars. Wanted to tear out the moulding to get to a turn nozzle under the sink. A plumber I called later was able to easily remove a panel and get to the turn nozzle and it was turned on all the way. They did not call me ahead of time like they said is their normal policy. I asked if he could return back to the house and I would head right over and the guy almost laughed at me being upset about not being there.

technician was prompt and very thorough, discovered important item that needed attention before it would have caused the unit to fail

They did a good job. They were excellent all through. They did what they said they were going to do in the time frame within which they promised. They were good company during the work. I would use them again.

They did not have a 24 hour service. They might have changed that but at the time, I couldn’t find a 24 hour service. They are prompt. Sometimes, they try to sell services that I probably don’t need.
Angi
They included a Peco rebate in the estimate that ended up not being deductible, promised a refund that never arrived.
