Great service by the owner Josh & his workers! I called this morning at 9am and his crew was at my house by 12 as promised. My AC is now working and my house is back to being nice and cool. I would highly recommend Comfortable Environments.

I am very pleased with Comfortable Environments LLC. They were responsive, honest and very professional. They arrived on time and the 2 techs were very thorough. I recently had a bad experience with another company, so I was very skeptical. But I am extremely pleased with the service I received and will be calling them for future service.

I have used Comfortable Environments for service for many years. Service Tech Nick has come out a few times and has been awesome. Great rates (I get service coupons in the mail), punctual, professional, and polite. I can't say enough. A few years ago my wife called another local company by accident for an ac service. They came in and charged me for freon which I didn't even get to see tested and it was not cheap. Comfortable Enviroments has been servicing it since and there are no "surprise" low freon readings. It's nice to have a company for such important things as heating and cooling that you can trust.

Josh and Eric installed my system in 2017 and has worked perfectly. The workmanship is better than I see in $4-8M homes in lower Fairfield County. They also have experience with smart home systems and don't immediately blame the thermostat for an issue like Gault does. Would absolutely recommend them, don't understand the negative angry Karen reviews!

I called because my thermostat was not working. Josh sent one of his guys over and it turned out to be the batteries. When I called after realizing I paid $219 for 2 batteries, I asked josh to justify the price and he kept yelling at me. When I asked him to stop, he kept yelling and eventually decided to void the check. 2 weeks later I saw it was cashed. He is a liar. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I am only giving them one star because I have to. Otherwise, I would give them zero stars!

Comfortable Environments installed our AC system when our house was built in 2007 and has serviced it ever since and, as far as we are concerned, from 2012 when we bought the house (we got their number from the seller). They have changed filters and filled Freon on the date scheduled every year up until this year. No repairs have ever had to be done to the system and everything was working fine BEFORE they came to conduct the annual service this year. We have not had any issues with them until now and we stuck with them even though they were a bit pricey because they installed the system and knew it. This year we were scheduled for a 6/10/2020 annual service visit and no one showed up. We called and texted a few times that afternoon, but no one picked up or responded. When we called the following day, we were told they had to re-schedule the visit due to "private reasons". A new visit was scheduled 6/17/2020. They sent ONE junior guy (Nick) as opposed to the two guys who typically have come to service our system all the other years. The guy changed filters and re-filled the systems with 3 pounds of Freon for $270. After he left, later on that same day, one of our units didn't turn on. We called Comfortable Environments back and they were able to come only on 6/22/2020 leaving us with large important parts of the house (master plus family room) inhabitable over a hot week-end. When they came on 6/22/2020 a more senior guy arrived and diagnosed that the compressor on the outdoor air handling unit in question was running but not pumping and that the recommendation was to change the compressor on that unit as well as the thermal expansion valve on the in-door unit and that they had to come back with a price. We didn't hear from them and contacted them today. Price $2,800 which they were able to tell us immediately upon being prompted but chose not to disclose prior, although knowing we were awaiting their quote. When we asked if they would assume any responsibility for the fact that the whole system worked until their guy came to service it and then broke down immediately thereafter, the gentleman (Josh) became childishly offended and asked: "Do you accuse me of ruining you system?" We answered that at least it seemed more than coincidental, at which point he then answered: "I don't wan't to do any business with you!" - Tomorrow we will have a second opinion. If I could give zero stars I would. I don't know what has gotten into these people's minds but as I said we had 8 years of ok standard nothing to report out of the ordinary service experiences with them and then his year they plummeted into the abyss as far as service and integrity is concerned. Update: Today (6/24/20) we got the second opinion. The reason the unit wouldn't start was because of OVERFILL of Freon. Nothing was wrong with it other than a junior guy not knowing what he was dealing with overfilling our units with Freon. The new guy just tapped some of the Freon out and checked all units. Everything works. Price $132 all in. Great guy!!!! Be careful and avoid Comfortable Environments. They are awful!

My HVAC furnace did not work a month ago, and called this company for repair, the guy did not tell what is repair cost before he started to work, not sure what he did and made the unit run again and then charged me almost $400.!. After the work, the repair guy said it should be good for few seasons however he cannot guarantee the work because the unit is old. A month later, my furnace did not work again. Called another company and they said the unit should be replaced not repair. It is waste money try to fix it because the unit is old. I just paid $400 for nothing. This guy is not honest. He should had recommended to replace the unit at the first place instead of charging me $400 for a little repair work. TOTAL OVER CHARGE!!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED. BAD... BAD... BAD.... BAD.....

Simply an outstanding company with which to do business. They show up on time and don't stop until the job is done. I had a challenging oil-to-gas conversion project and they guided me through every step. I now enjoy low energy bills due to the efficient heating and hot water systems that they installed. These guys are professionals at what they do, and it shows.

Josh & Eric came within 1 hr of being called after hours and on the coldest day of the year. They were professional, efficient, and friendly. They resolved the issue entirely and even did so at a cost less than expected. You guys are the best! Thanks for taking care of Addie!

These guys are borderline criminals. We’re fixing an HVAC system they installed in Westport in 2012, where the contractor actually got arrested. They sold the client a new old stock condenser from 2006, and an AC coil from 2010. And each piece ran off different coolant, yet they jerry-rigged it to work. Used, undersized, improper, equipment billed for as new. A lawsuit waiting to happen. How are they even licensed?

15 minute diagnostic job cost me $190- extremely unprofessional. Management thinks he’s tough and is disrespectful.

They came out quickly. Service tech was awesome. They diagnosed the problem and found what I needed. To fix the problem, there labor prices are pretty high. I only paid for the diagnostic fee. I was able to address the situation myself. But I don’t knock people’s prices. That’s why you shop around. But customer service wise they were friendly, respectful and thorough!

The technician who showed didn't have the correct blade for root cutting - just a spiral wire - more for freeing a clog. I mentioned this to him, that I had root problems, but he said it was all he had. He removed a small ball of roots and said he was done and then tried to sell me a $9,000 sewer line replacement as he said he found cracks during the visual inspection. I declined as I have RWA sewer line insurance ( plus the price was $3 - $4000 higher than previous quotes Several days later my sewer line backed up so I called Mr Rooter who showed up and properly cleaned the line. When I called Climate Partners for a refund, they refused saying my account was "green stickered" (whatever that means) The man on the phone said he agreed with me but his supervisor refused my refund. Stick with Mr Rooter (just compare their google ratings.)

They come out twice a year for inspections. We pay them an annual fee; I'm thinking it's $28 a month. When there's an issue we call them. It was pretty seamless; we don't have to think about it too much. They show up and take care of everything and inspect everything and let us know. I don't seem to get up-sold. Actually, I've had issues with them in the past where I had to call them because I thought something was wrong or they'd done something wrong, and they did try to accommodate us and make sure that everything was okay. So yeah, they've been good overall. I don't know what would have made it a better experience. I think, just maybe not on this specific visit but in general, there have been times they could've been a little more thorough. I think that's just what keeps it from being an A, the times where I found something after and I had to go and call about something that maybe somebody could have picked up on while they were here. I would give them an A on responsiveness, since when we have had a problem with them I've been able to get somebody on the phone. I think they showed up when they said they would. They've been good. We're going to stick with them.

Company contacted to perform routine service. Technician responded and proceeded to service heating system. After leaving, system was not working and contact was made to advise company of problem. New technician (more experienced ) sent and proceeded to damage plumbing causing damage to system and surrounding area.

My husband and I replaced the capacitor on our air conditioner, and were unsure of where one (and only one) of the wires should go. We had watched many, many YouTube videos, and only took off one wire at a time while replacing it on the exact same model of the new capacitor. The one wire was not attached when we took off the cover, and thus were unsure. We attached it to two different terminals, and while the fan would run, we could tell the compressor could not kick on. We knew there was another part that was not getting "juice", but we weren't sure which one. We already pay a monthly fee to Climate Partners, and called them for service. It took three days for them to arrive. The service man did arrive at the time he said he would. I showed him what we had done, and knew there was only one wire we were unsure of for the capacitor. He excused himself to the truck because he said his previous client was a tough job. Came back out of the truck saying it was going to cost me $174 just to check the wiring we did and to run diagnostics. He found the same thing we did, that the compressor wasn't getting "juice". He then went inside and was insistent that the panel for the inside air handler was the problem. I knew that wasn't the case, but he proceeded to pursue this diagnostic assumption. I had gone down to my basement to retrieve a screwdriver, when I heard someone on the other end of his phone speaker tell him he had to go back outside and check every part to see if it was getting "juice". Once he completed that task (which should have been a first check), he came back into my house to tell me he had to replace a part. I made him show me which part, only to find that it was the contactor which I had already assumed was the culprit. When I got the bill, I was charged 1) the original $174 to attach one wire, 2) $225 for a part we found at Home Depot that cost $9.74, and 3) another $125 for "further diagnostics". It was obvious to me that the serviceman was not the sharpest knife in the drawer as he kept telling me it was his wife's birthday (probably told me 5 times). He was either having problems focusing, or my service was "on the job training". In either case, if a novice like me can figure this out, clearly someone trained in this trade should have been able to discern the problem sooner than 3 hours.

After an initial assessment visit, two technicians came within 5 days for the installation. They were here on time and the work was completed by 4pm. Everything was in order and the site was clean. There were no issues of any sort. Standard maintenance procedures such as filter replacement were described and demonstrated by the lead technician. We were happy with entire process.

My water heater didn't work this morning. After checking all the things I could think of to fix it myself, I called Climate Partners. Climate Partners installed both my water heater and my furnace four years ago and did a really good job. I was quoted a price over the phone of $229 for a service call. So I knew in advance. It turned out the circuit had tripped and all the technician had to do was flip the switch. Total time: about 3 minutes. They told me in advance the call would be $229 and that's what they charged me. I asked the technician (who was on-time, professional, nice guy, by the way) if he had to charge me the full $229 and he said he didn't have any control over the pricing. But I feel robbed and taken advantage of. My fault for not checking around. Won't be using this company again.
