I cannot say enough about these guys — Ben and Christian at Kittredge Heating & Cooling! During the hottest week of the year, on a Thursday before a holiday weekend, the AC on our 25-year-old system finally kicked the bucket. We knew it was only a matter of time and that the entire system would need to be replaced. Ben came right out, checked everything, and gave us the bad news. He explained that we could spend money trying to limp it along or replace it entirely. After inspecting the setup, he recommended a new system and provided a fair quote. After talking it over with my wife, we agreed the price was reasonable and Ben clearly knew his stuff — and, more importantly, seemed like a good guy. The next day, I let Ben know his company had the job and asked how soon they could start. It was 89° inside our house that Friday. He said they could be out first thing Monday, which sounded great considering the holiday. A few hours later, I got a very nice email from Ben asking if it would be too much of an inconvenience to come Sunday instead, at no extra charge — they just didn’t want us sitting in that heat all weekend. That kind of customer care is rare these days. Sure enough, at 8:00 AM Sunday, Ben and Christian were at our door ready to work. By 3:00 PM, both the furnace and AC were replaced, and the house was cooling back down to a comfortable 74°. After using the AC for a couple of months and now the furnace, I can confidently say we made the right choice — not just in the equipment, but in the people we chose to install it. The system heats and cools far better and more efficiently than our old one ever did. The upstairs, which was always too warm, is now perfectly even with the rest of the house — both in summer and winter. It’s refreshing to see that there are still good, honest companies out there doing business the right way. Thank you, Ben and Christian!

Kittredge H&C has been bought by a large company (Blue Mountain HVAC) who farms their work out. The truck that arrived at my house was a Bee HVAC truck and the guy, though very nice had just moved here from Florida a few months earlier and admitted that he had never worked with furnaces before.

Ben performed a pre winter furnace inspection for us. He was prompt, thorough, and communicated very well. It was clear that high quality service at a very fair price point are Ben’s trademark. Kittredge Heating and Cooling will get our future business.

Ben came out within an hour or two right after a major snow storm. He was extremely knowledgeable and willing to work with us and educate us about our complicated boiler system. Second time using Kittredge Heating and Cooling. First time was replacing my furnace and second was a Saturday leak repair. Couldn’t ask for more. They have always been prompt and fairly priced. I won’t be going to anyone else for my HVAC or plumbing needs. It’s a good day when you find a contractor as great as these guys. Do yourself a favor and use Kittredge Heating and Cooling, you won’t fine anyone better.

Another contractor misidentified the issue with my system and quoted me twice as much to just recharge the system. But Christian came in, diagnosed the system correctly, let me know all of my options in a clear and honest manner. He replaced the exactly what needed to be, and recharged the system. What stood out was how communicative and trustworthy Christian was—especially since I wasn’t home during the work. He consistently texted and called with progress updates, asked quick questions before proceeding, and I felt completely confident that everything was handled right. A rare combination of fair pricing, clear communication, and top-notch honesty. Highly recommend Christian and this team for anyone who wants a straight shooter and professional HVAC service.

PERSONABLE. PROFESSIONAL.AFFORDABLE. HONEST. LOCAL Xcel Energy had red tagged my furnace due to a faulty vent pipe. It seemed like a simple fix but in the process debris from the pipe unknowingly entered the motor and seized it. I contacted Ben and he did some troubleshooting over the phone. He arrived on time the next day as requested (Saturday) Within minutes he had discovered the problem. He did a complete clean out of the unit and repaired my “repair” on the vent pipe. It would have been so easy for him to say the furnace motor was blown (approx $1000 plus labor) Instead he charged me $69.00 for a service charge. He also waved an emergency fee. Ben Douthwaite is the absolute best!

Our furnace stopped working the night before Thanksgiving, great timing! I called a few places early Thanksgiving morning not hopeful I’d hear back from anyone. Ben called me back within 30 minutes and left his ice fishing adventures to come help us. That level of kindness and service is rare these days! Ben is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and kind. He restored our heat Thanksgiving day and came back the following morning to replace the parts and inspect our furnace.
