Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning

I had Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning install AC into my existing HVAC in my newly purchased and remodeled home just a few months ago. The initial installation was very sloppy (see photos). They simply routed the piping over the ceiling and down into the furnace instead of following the lines along the walls. With the water hose, they routed it up on the wall and into the sink. Well, I sent them an email and complained a little. The next time they were out, they cleaned up the install and I was a happy customer. Fast forward a few months to today... I remember when they installed the AC, they removed the air filter from the furnace. I had assumed they replaced it with a new one, which to me seems like a reasonable assumption. Well, apparently, they didn't replace the old filter at all. Surely a $7,200 AC install includes a new air filter, especially one they removed. I should have at least been told I should buy one as, according to Google, a furnace "will operate without one, but you'll risk potential damage to your system and to your health and the health of your family, and that's just not worth it." So they are not only putting my health at risk, they're putting my HVAC system at risk. I have pretty bad allergies, so it's no wonder why they've been acting up more than they used to, and now the air quality is "Very Hazardous" and my home is without a basic air filtration. I ordered a bunch of HEPA air filters, but they don't arrive until September 25th. I would have probably rated them three stars after they fixed the poor installation of my AC, but after discovering that they never replaced my air filter, I think they deserve one star. Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning is a poorly ran business and I do not recommend them to anyone.

This was a great experience. They were throughly professional and prompt. The bid was about the same as others, but I chose them because the offered the units I preferred. The crew was fast and cleaned up after themselves. They took time to answer questions and address concerns. They prepared all tax rebate/tax credit paperwork and delivered it promptly.

It went well except for a mistake with the bid that they worked with us on to make sure all parties were happy.

They left the area excellent. The customer service was good. Cleaning after themselves was excellent and professionalism was excellent. They were considerate.

It was free because I purchased a service contract for 5 years.

They have good quality, and prices. They are here when they say they will be, and fix everything.

This is the second time I have used Advanced to replace an old furnace and air conditioner. Not only was the work performed well, all of the paperwork necessary for state and federal tax savings were provided without having to ask. They are definitely on top of their game! <br /> Clearly, we will use them again when we get around to replacing our secondary heating/cooling system. <br /> <br />

Greg was the salesperson and Scott and Phil were the workmen who performed the job. We liked the fact that Trane is American-made. The job took two days to complete but both gentlemen were personable and efficient. They answered any questions we had as work progressed. Although the system has been in place only a couple of weeks, it seems to cool more evenly than our old system and it much more quiet as well. We recommend Advanced. <br />

The woman on the phone was dismissive - when I suggested they look up the part they had recommended late last fall for us, she insisted they needed to come out and look at it first. She declined to give us a window of arrival time for an entire day. When the technician arrived, he powered on our unit for about 10 minutes and declared it fine. My husband insisted that it is not working and reminded them of the previous diagnosis. At his urging, the technician called for the part and upon finding out we are two weeks from the end of our warranty, the company declined to order it. In fact, our AC unit is still not working. Very disappointed with this company. <br />

Advanced was excellent to work with. Greg came out to provide an estimate, which was not only the best pricing but they also were the most thorough, offered discounts for cash, and had the shortest lead time of the three estimates I received. He was very knowledgeable, straight-forward, and honest and took time to discuss various options with me without any sales pressure, unlike others. The office (Kristal) was also great to work with, and provided help in setting up gas service, scheduling, and answering any questions I had. The installers (Scot and Phil) arrived on time, got right to work, and kept me posted on progress/questions as the job progressed. The original estimate was for the job to take 4 days, and it took 4 days. The installers also took time to connect my new gas range at no extra charge, clean up the work areas, and were very nice to work with. The system works great. After installation, Kristal sent me all the paperwork I needed to claim various tax credits, and scheduled final inspection for me. Everyone at Advanced has been friendly, honest, and a pleasure to work with - very glad I chose them. <br />

The repairman arrived promptly and explained everything he needed to do before he proceeded. The repair was very successful and our experience was very good. We felt very confident in the repairman and the work that was performed. <br />

We really liked them. We decided to use them permanently. He was terrific. He couldn't have been nicer and more professional. I think something was going on the day that he came to actually do the service. He was going to be late and he did call to let me know. I appreciated that. He said, I've had a problem and I am going to be later. Will this still work for you? He was really great. He was very clean and told me everything that he did. He wrote everything down so that I could leave out for my husband. We just really liked him.

The service went fine. It was a bit challenging to schedule because we are on complete opposite ends of the metro area, but once we agreed on an appointment time, there were no problems. They even honored a nominally expired pre-purchase certificate. <br />

He reminded me that I need to clean my filters on the E.A.C. Vent. He cleaned I put in on the calendar to remind me to clean. Told me the W/H was not up to code and needed to be replaced.. No more clicking when the furnace starts. Would definitively call them again for service.

We were able to quickly schedule the appointment, and the technician arrived on time. He was very polite, and while he found a few small items of concern, there was no up-selling or high pressure tactics. We would use them again in the future, either for repairs or continued maintenance checks.

They're a good company. He was helpful in troubleshooting some heating issues I had in my house. He also gave me some tips on cleaning my filters.

They were good and did as they said they would. I liked their services and will use the same in future.
