My mom Virginia just loved it there. From day one, she was just amazed at all the Caregiver and how they treated her with respect and dignity, and she loved all of them. She told me she had friends again. She was 96 years old and all of her friends had already passed away, but she made new ones there. They always included her and came and got her for fun activities and they were very respectful of her at all times, it is the place to go to.

This is a review for the assisted living portion of valley comfort. The facility is very clean and nice and Nick promises the world on the tour. We were very upfront with the fact that my mom’s dementia kept her from remembering to take pills, showers, cook, or clean her clothes and that she has sundowners. She is completely mobile but needs lots of cuing to do daily living. Nick assured us they were very skilled at getting dementia patients showered, given meds, etc. and in the brochure it says this is done daily. After paying $1500 for a “fee” on top of the monthly rent and decorating her room up, she moved in. A few days later I noticed her hair was getting greasy. And this was the beginning of valley comfort not doing what they promised to do and what we paid for. I had to constantly ask why my mom wasn’t being showered and then I found out they weren’t giving her pills. They said they focused on the “important” ones. You could see on their med record when I took her to dr visits how little they were actually giving. They never communicated any showering or med issues to me, but when I would complain after discovering something, they would say my mom was combative, even though I had never seen combative behavior from her at home. I asked another resident that hung out with my mom if my mom was combative and was told no, but that the workers were unnecessarily rough with her when she was confused. Never was there a plan for how to rectify these problems from the owners. She just continued to be dirty and hardly any meds for a month. I thought, as nick promised, that they were skilled with dementia patients? Then a different resident pulled me aside and said she had witnessed abusive behavior from a worker towards my mom and was very upset about it and said she reported it. Did I get a call? No. So I called and nick said he would investigate and call me back. He did not but I called him the next day and again he made some excuse, saying that what the other resident had seen was not what really happened, that she was mistaken. The final straw for me was two days later when my mom had a medical emergency and valley comfort sent her to the ER by ambulance and the nurse from the ER called me and said the EMTS had seen red flags at the facility, not the least of which was the valley comfort workers knew little about my mom or her meds and told them she self managed her meds, which is absolutely untrue. The nurse said she wanted me to know because she would want to know if it was her mother. I immediately put in my 30 day notice and called nick. He said the EMTS were lying. What reason would they have to do that? The pattern with nick was deny, deny, deny that the facility had any culpability in these things. It’s statistically impossible that 3 different sources reporting issues were all wrong and that the facility was never at fault. There seems to be a very large disconnect between what is going on with the workers and what the management is aware of. I CAN say that my mom’s room was always clean and her clothes were always clean. The other residents were also wonderful with my mom, befriending her and including her. Those were the only positives. So all in all it was an extremely expensive and frustrating experience (our first trial of outside care for my mom) and I agree with some of the other reviews I’ve seen on this place. I wish I had never set foot in the place or believed their promises. I’m sure nick will have some comment to this review about why it’s so wrong and they were not at fault (as I’ve seen him do on other poor reviews) but these are the facts I witnessed. As soon as I gave notice and explained why, suddenly she started getting showered and meds given and more phone calls than I had ever received before. Were they afraid I was going to report them? No idea. Bottom line, if your loved one does not have dementia this assisted living might work for them, but if they have dementia, I would steer clear of this place.

If you have a loved one in need of Dementia or Alzheimer's care then you absolutely should consider Valley Comfort. The history and values this company is based on is incredible. You want people to care for your family like you would care for them. The most significance for me having to make this decision was the education I received through the process. I felt confident that I knew my grandmother was in good hands. It's been 6 years and I'd do it all over again. I consider Valley Comfort part of my extended family and you will too.

I would give them 10 stars if I could!!! My grandma has live here for about 5 years now and my family couldn't be happier with the care that she is receiving. I don't get to come as often as I would like, but every time that I come visit her she is always looks as she was just showered and she always smells good. Even though my grandma has dementia and requires ALOT of help, they still give her the dignity and respect she deserves. The building has beautiful landscaping as you enter. It has always smelled good and free of urine. The inside is beautifully decorated always looked so nice and clean. I usually only come on the weekends and the place is very well run even when the owners aren't there. I never worry about her safety when we aren't able to make it. My parents visit her very often and have ALWAYS been pleased with her care. The care staff and owners (office staff) always take care of things in a timely manner and will typically handle the situation before they even call my parents. My grandma was moved here from another local facility and WOW what a difference. If you are looking for a place for your family member, this is the best place in town by far!!!!

The staff is beyond amazing at Valley Comfort from administrative to caregivers. They took excellent care of my father in law. They were always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to meet his needs,which changed frequently and kept us informed. They are loving,patient,and kind to their residents and loved ones. I would place any of my family here without hesitation.

My mom moved in here a month ago, she has been so happy and so are we. The staff and the owners, Chris and Nick are wonderful. This is the first time in many many years that I have not worried about my mom. The residents are very welcoming and she has made many new friends. I would definitely suggest this assisted living facility when looking for the next step in a loved ones care. They treat you like family.

I have looked at every memory care facility in Modesto and Valley Comfort is the best! A family-owned business that clearly puts their residents first, the owners/managers are truly delightful individuals. I am confident my sometimes difficult dad will thrive here!

Jeff and his team did and excellent job with the installation of two Daikin HVAC units. I had many questions about the units and install and they were quick and thorough in responding. The price and warranty were competitive with high end brands. The crew was courteous and professional during the two day install. They were the only company that included replacement of the coolant lines, rather than just flushing the old ones. So far the Daikin variable speed AC units are exceptionally quiet and the house is very comfortable. Would recommend Ace Home Services and Unique Comfort without reservation.

We could not be happier with choosing Unique Indoor Comfort for our new HVAC system. We found this company by being referred by a client of my husbands. The original duct work in our house was extremely undersized, over working our unit and not creating good airflow to reach the third floor of our town home. Reni came out to our home, and took the time to explain to me options with Unique to really make our new HVAC unit/system efficient and comfortable temperatures in our house. I really appreciated his kindness and patience with me with all my questions. Unique was able to get us scheduled within a week or finalizing the contract, just in time in end of April when the first heat wave hit. It has been almost two months now since Henry and Matt installed our new HVAC system (they both were friendly and did an excellent job) and we are truly enjoying it. With a new baby in the house, it is a relief to have this new unit and ability to cool down our house quickly and efficiently. I know it is a lot interviewing and getting quotes from different HVAC companies - it is a big investment. This company truly stood out for us and were able to work with our budget and our needs for our home. They were the only company who proposed how we could add an additional vent to allow more airflow, and to redo the duct work to the proper sizing for our house and up to code. We are very grateful and HIGHLY recommend Unique. Thank you Reni, Matt and Henry again!

We were referred to Unique Comfort, and were told "they are not the cheapest, but they are very good". So, when our first floor heater stopped working (no heat), we called them, the guy came our promptly, and after two hours of trying to figure out why our system is blowing cold air, stated that "probably" we need to replace the main control board and the pressure switch. He left, and an hour later came in the email with the estimate, $1500 ($1200 for the parts). WOW!!! We expected a few hundred dollars, but $1.5K was too much. So I decided to check these two parts on Amazon. They together cost under $200, delivered the next day. I thought Unique Comfort made a mistake, charging us $1200 for $200 parts. Called, talked to three people, two of them in management. Was told that as a business of "that size" they need to make "a bit of a margin" on the parts. Well, extra $1000 on $200 parts seems to be price gouging. The best they could do is offer 10% off, adding insult to the injury. So, ordered the parts, checked the youtube how to replace them (1.5 hours). Got EXACTLY the same result, heater working but blowing cold air. Read some more - one of the advises was to check the exhaust pipe for birds nests, etc. Sure enough, that was it. Cleaned it up, all working now. With new parts, ha-ha. So, on top of them price gouging for the parts, which were not even needed, we are now stuck with having also to pay the bill for the original visit of $79, which provided incorrect diagnostics!!!! VERY, VERY BAD!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE A SYSTEM FROM UNIQUE INDOOR COMFORT COMPANY! They STOPPED servicing many areas for customers who paid thousands for their equipment! Anyone who bought equipment from them should be able to have them service the equipment! No excuses or exceptions! Do yourselves a favor and don’t use shady companies like this who may stop servicing your area at any time they choose! And dont even let ALL purchasers know that they are stopping! My area in Bucks County was good enough for them to take my thousands of dollars to install the equipment in! Shady for them to change their maintenance servicing area! Im posting this review on EVERY customer service review site! Dont buy from them!

The technician Dennis came out to my house on time to access the situation of the circulator pump on my heater. I thought originally that I would need a new pump. But Dennis look at it did what he had to do with it and got the pump working again. The work Dennis had done save me a lot of money. I really appreciate his expertise on the whole situation. Very professional. I would recommend him and the company to anyone. Thanks!

Sales rep measured rooms and windows to perform a load cal'n. Proposed a quality Carrier system at a reasonable price. The installation took a little longer than expected due to use of an inexperienced helper, but eventually it appeared to be a quality installation. They met my requests for minor modifications/enhancements to allow easier maintenance. Workers wore masks at all times, used drop cloths along walking paths and shoe covers, so the job was kept clean. Took time to explain system, installation and maintenance points. Were honest about risk of condensate pipe freeze-up and potential remedies, and "orphaned" water heater. Overall, quite satisfied with the equipment and installation. Awaiting finalization of punch list paperwork items.

We are very happy with the work that was done by Unique installing a new gas boiler and tying it into our 1940’s hot water heating system. The estimator Mike, took time measuring every room to be sure we get just the right size unit needed for our house. (An estimator, from another company, didn’t size all the rooms, wanted to put in a smaller boiler and at a higher cost!). The installation was painless. The work was done in one day which included removal of our old system. The new system is extremely efficient and we already have noticed significant savings on gas and electric. Great company to deal with. Would highly recommend.

Crew members Trong Chau, Tan Pham did an excellent job for the installation - prompt, professional, and thorough. Staff Dante Zappala professionally measured and sized the system. Unique Indoor Comfort staff were very slow in providing warranty papers for the extended warranty of the Rheem Water Heater - it took a month to get the proper sticker to validate the warranty - and made it seem like a problem. We hope that they respect the warranties for the A/C and Furnace through Carrier.

Unique Indoor Comfort’s technician, George, provided a fine tune up service to my residence's heating system which was well overdue for maintenance. He was able to pinpoint the issues I was having obtaining heat and, in the process, providing a more important service. This by detecting a significant potential health risk to the system when operating at capacity with elevated levels of carbon monoxide readings present in the combustion test and the necessity of having a chimney/fireplace sweep and cleaning conducted. The service call was money well spent. Would definitely use this company again for any additional issues

I contacted Unique Indoor Comfort, among others, to obtain a proposal for replacement of my furnace and air conditioning system. Unique took measurements off all the rooms (for sizing calculations), answered all my questions, and provided me with a written proposal with several system options ranging in cost. Some other contractors that had estimated this job had failed to either take measurements or provide a detailed written proposal. Although Unique did not have the cheapest proposal for this work, I felt most comfortable choosing Unique for the job because of their professional approach to the work, their ability to answer my questions, and their well-detailed proposal. The installation took one day. The contractors wore booties and put down cloths to keep my carpet clean when moving equipment. The installation went well, and I was satisfied with the quality of the work. The only issue I had was that the installation team forgot to install an upgraded piece of duct work. This duct piece only affected the efficiency of the system, not the operation, but it was included in the contract and touted by Unique as a benefit of their installation. After I noticed this and contacted Unique, they apologized and sent someone to install the upgrade within a few days. Overall, I am very satisfied with the system and the installation.
