Home warranty company sent them out to fix my heating unit that would not start up. Service tech narrowed it down to 2 potential issues, both to do with the smart thermostat. He told us we could get someone out that knew what they’re doing or he could fix it if we paid him directly since, according to him, the home warranty didn’t cover smart thermostats (a luxury item). I knew smart thermostats were covered, so when we offered to call the home warranty company to confirm that it’s covered he just left. We reported them to the home warranty company and they confirmed that smart thermostats are covered. Home warranty then sent Sysko Services out the same day and they fixed the problem within an hour.

I had been dealing with my home warranty company for an air conditioner issue. It had been a week of problems and it still was not working. I requested Superstition Cooling and they were so nice to work with. Sarah was very accommodating and patient since my home warranty was taking a while to send the work order over. She really is the best and then there is Kraig. He fixed the problem and took the time to explain to me the ins and outs of dealing with home warranty companies. They truly care about the customer and it shows. Thank you and I would totally recommend this company.

Kraig has been to my house numerous times for warranty issues, and even second opinion situations, and has always been straightforward with any repairs needed and hasn’t tried to upsell unlike other local companies. I’ve had times when the company the warranty company picked had come out and claimed we needed a whole new system, but I’ve done my due diligence with a second option with Kraig and it has turned out to be a minimal issue easily fixed. I’m glad there are still reputable, honest folks out there.

Called for service on an extremely Hot Phoenix day, Sarah was very kind and extremely helpful had Kraig at our 84 deg home, the next morning. Kraig came this morning to replace our 25 year old system. He and the other tech sry can't remember his name was awesome. They spent the better part of the day in a crawlspace upstairs. Thay even put floor pronunciation down from the moment the carpet starts all the way upstairs. Theses guys did more then complete a job. There work speaks for them and I will not let anyone else touch my a/c unit if it's not superstition cooling. Thank you guys for all the hard work today. With the new unit in and running i can't even hear it kick on but I sure do feel it.

Great company. Used them with home warranty before I realized I was better off getting a new unit without fighting the warranty company. Kraig is the BEST! I got four bids for my new AC. His was the most comprehensive, and he did the work for an amazing price. I have been unhappy with the way my home's system functions since I bought it, and he solved the problems. He explained in great detail what was wrong, how he would fix it, and he was super honest: another company tried to sell me an add-on air filter for $2000; when I asked Kraig about it, he said I should buy it myself on Amazon (for under $500), and he installed it for me. I bought a Nest thermostat, and he installed that for a great price too. I can't recommend this company more.

When our A/C went out I knew it was a big purchase so I made appts with about 6 companies to repair or replace. The price range was pretty huge. One company did a couple little things which didn't fix the problem. They gave me a $300 repair bill and a $12k quote. Kraig fixed 3 separate items for a very reasonable charge. Then he said Aug was the worst time to replace cost-wise. He told me the repairs would get us through to the winter. I called him back in Nov and bought a new system. He was great to work with. I highly recommend him.

I have owned and operated a number of businesses and always went the entire mile for my customers. It was something my Dad taught me when I was in my teens and working for him. Kraig is the same way, which is something that many businesses do not do anymore. I obtained 5 bids to have a 5 ton home A.C. / Heat Pump installed in my home. 2 of the bids were within a couple hundred dollars of Kraig’s bid but did not answer a question or two 100% truthfully, one was way too low because the company bid the wrong unit, either by design or by stupidity and the other 2 were bids were given by phone - Unbelievable. ... Kraig came out at my convenience, recommended a couple different units; provided the pros and cons of each. I had already done over 20 hours of research and decided to go with the Amana because of reviews and their guarantee, along with other considerations. ... The install was properly done, the “I’s” dotted and the “T’s” crossed. He and his assistant cleaned up, set up everything as expected; educated me on proper filters, etc. I had a ton of questions that he took the time to answer. Kraig double checked the unit serial number to make sure it was correct - it wasn't, his supplier had missed one number so now Kraig will correct so there are no issues in the future with the warranty. …I had actually decide to use Kraig when I first shook his hand as he exited his vehicle when we first met. It was obvious he was the type of person I wanted to do business. There are a lot of crooks in the HVAC business and there are some good people too – Kraig is one of the great people. ... Being an extremely picky, demanding ‘ball-buster’ I see that most businesses from AZ would never succeed in a demanding marketplace. .. Kraig is an exception and is the type of person that will never loose sight of extreme customer service no matter how large his company becomes. Thank you Superstition Cooling - Kraig.

Kraig is hands down one of the best technicians in the valley. He has serviced our units for years and we replaced one a while back with superstition. The prices are below the big guys and he isn't pushy trying to upsell stuff. It's good old fashioned quality work for a fair price. I recommend them anytime I can 10 stars from me!!

Not honest what so ever. Home warranty sent him out. Quoted thousands of dollars that would “not be covered.” We got a second opinion, easy fix and ac has been working great since. Fast forward and superstition never gave our service fee charge to home warranty and home warranty sent us a collections letter.... so now we have that to deal with.

I would like to thank Sean for saving us today he was amazing. First I must say I was skeptical. I was referred to superstition cooling by my home warranty company. I read some reviews and was a little weary. I've dealt many similar situations that the 1 star reviews were conveying. I called on a Saturday knowing I wouldn't be able to get someone out till Monday. The lady who took my call was very friendly. Of course the first opening is at 4 pm the hottest part of the day. They were here Monday right on time. He went right to work testing the ac. His initial reading led him to believe it was a compressor(its always the compressor). He was very thorough even in the 110 degree heat and I know the metal ac was frying his hands everytime he had to touch it. But he took it apart so that he could check all wires and resolved the wiring issue without having to replace the compressor. I just want to say thank you for restoring my faith in tradesman. We were in the process of buying a house and the inspection showed some issues. Kraig came out and let us know exactly what was wrong and showed us why it was an extremely dangerous issue. He was honest and helpful. Even called us back to answer a few questions. I will hire him for when we redo our AC.

This company was GREAT! After waiting for 3-business days (105+ temps) for another company to call us to set up an appointment (they NEVER called us even after we left a voicemail), we called back our home warranty to cancel the original service request and asked them to set us up with a new vendor. Worked out GREAT! Superstition called us in under 10 minutes after we got off the phone with our home warranty, said a tech was in our area and would be at our home in about 30 minutes or so. Shawn arrived on time, got to work right away, fixed our issue and now our AC is working perfectly. I wish we would had gotten this company instead in the beginning but I'm glad we got to them now. Recommend 100%!

Superstition Cooling was dispatched via my home warranty, Old Republic. My AC unit is a central air split system, with a compressor ground unit outside. To be clear, I have two AC units. One for the master bed, kitchen, main living areas and another for two small bedrooms and loft/open playroom. The AC with the problems controls the master bed, kitchen/dining and main living quarters of the home. The compressor and fan were replaced last summer however; over the past few weeks the system began cooling my home at a very slow rate, approximately 1-2 degrees per hour. The air coming out of the vents seems to be blowing weak and not very cool, but it would eventually cool the home to the set temperature. I was contacted by office staff at Superstition within an hour of contacting Old Republic. The scheduler was very friendly and an appointment was set for the following day 7/18/19. I was impressed they were able to fit me in quickly and fast response to the claim. The technician arrived at the schedule time on the 18th and when I answered the door, he provided his first name and asked “what’s the problem with the AC”, nothing more. It was an extremely awkward and unprofessional representation of the business he’s representing. I explain the problems and he walked through the house to the backyard unit. Within 15 minutes, he completed the repairs. He explained the AC was low on refrigerant, most likely due to the previous company who changed the compressor not overcharging the system, then bringing it down to the correct level. I put my hand up to the a couple vents and the air seemed to be a little cooler, but nothing like it was prior to the issue. I asked what temperature should the air be blowing out of the vents and if he had an infrared device to measure it as it didn’t seem very cool. He explained anything below 70 degrees was acceptable and his tool had broke the day prior to my repair. He continued to explain once the systems cycles for a bit, the air temperature blowing out should be cooler. I wrote a check for the co-pay of my home warranty deductible and thanked him for his time. On 7/19/19, I was gone for most of the day and began to notice a problem that night. The AC seemed to run for abnormally long periods through the night. The next morning on 07/20/19, I woke up to a temperature of 82 in my home, yet the thermostat was set to 78. The air coming out of the vents was now warmer than prior to the repair. I walk outside to look at the unit and I see what appears to be refrigerant/oil leaking out of one of the valve stem caps and a large amount of it on the AC pad. There is also an old valve stem core on the pad, so guessing that was replaced and maybe didn’t hold but no mention of it on the repair/work order. I contacted the home warranty company who stated they would dispatch Superstition Cooling again and instructed me to contact the company right away for scheduling. I spoke to a friendly scheduler who stated the soonest they could come back out was 7/22/19. I explained the situation, what I observed and the problem was now worse than prior to their repair. It was now 1:30pm and my house was at 85 inside, failing to cool to the set temperature of 78. I asked if any cancellations occurred to fit me in and she stated they would try, but my appointment was still set for 7/22/19. While the scheduler was friendly, there was no apology, no sense of urgency or empathy for their failed work/repair, which actually made the problem worse. It is now 5pm, temperature up to 87 in the home and the AC unit has been running all day without shutting off. My family (including young children) and I are confined to a small section of the home where the other AC unit is also running non-stop now, most likely to compensate for the other unit failing to cool. To say the least, it’s been a horrible experience thus far with Superstition Cooling. Once they come back on 7/22/19, I will update my review accordingly, giving them the opportunity to correct their inability to fix the problem on the first visit.

We have a home warranty that uses this company. Our air conditioner has been running our electric bill through the roof, so we called and made an appointment. Our first appointment was cancelled, it is the middle of summer and we own dogs. They came early and on time for the appointment they rescheduled (reasoning for the 1 star). Paid the bill, thought things were fine because it "just needed recharged." Our air has been making an awful noise for 3 days and when I went home yesterday, I smelt burning electrical. This morning our air went out, called them again and can't get an appointment until Monday. It is ridiculous. If they would have fixed it the first time, instead of doing a quick fix we would not be having this issue.
