Apparently the installation was satisfactory. But as a reliable AC business I have issues. Called once after hours and the technician wasn't sure he could come out because of off and on again rain with occasional lightening. We are in our seventies and the tech decided he would come and get AC going again. <br /> AC went out 3/14/2015. Keith voice mail answered phone telling me to hold on. After 10 minutes I realized they weren't working on the weekend. I have found a new AC service provider <br />

Spoke to Jane at Keith Air Conditioning in Mobile, Alabama on August 9th, 2013 at 1:45 p.m. I told her who I was, and requested that Mr. Keith give me a call, after which she told me he was at lunch. I received a call back from Jane at approximately 1:40 p.m. She stated that Mr. Keith told me to tell you that to get another company to come out and repair our air condition, and that we are obviously not satisfied with their service, and that they will no longer be able to service our air conditioner. I told her that I needed to speak to Mr. Keith to let him know about the substandard work that his employees are doing. They didn't communicate with us that they were not going to replace the wires. They only covered the wires with black electrical tape. I told her the reason I contacted the Better Business Bureau because Mr. Keith didn't return my call previously and the employees didn't communicate with us about the wires. They should have been replaced and not covered with tape! My husband offered to help the Keith Air Conditioning employee when he was ready to go under the crawl space to replace the wires, but the employee never did because he didn't go under the crawlspace to replace the wires leading to the outside unit. The technician took the compressor cover with him when he replaced the compressor back in June/July. When we asked Leslie at Keith Air Conditioning about the cover, she said she would check on it and would have to order one and would call us back. She never called us back. About two weeks later, sometime in July, the technician called and said he was on the way out to put the cover around the compressor. My husband told him no, because we were not at home, we were at work. Plus, we only wanted them to make one trip, that is, to replace the wires also, instead of bandaging them up. Ghulam asked the technician on the phone about replacing the wires, and the technician stated Leslie didn't say anything about the wires. Meanwhile, I spoke with Leslie and she stated it would be an extra charge for them to come out and replace the wires. I told her that we assumed they were going to replace the wires on a $5,000 unit, instead of covering them with electrical tape. Meanwhile, my husband Ghulam, and I, Regina, filed a complaint online with the Better Business Bureau of Mobile. BBB stated that Keith has 14 days to reply. Yesterday, August 8th, 2013, my inside unit flooded by master bathroom closet, which is carpeted, my bathroom floor, and part of the carpet in my bedroom, part of our hall in front of the door to the inside A/C unit. My house smells like wet stinky carpet. We just had our carpet cleaned on approx. June 21st. With regards to the cost of the above so-called service call, Keith Air charged us $1,050.00 labor for a compressor replacement still in warranty, less than 4-year-old unit, that they sold to us AND installed. There is no doubt in my mind now that because of his technicians' incompetence, it is quite possible that my unit DID NOT need to be replaced at the time, and that they just wanted to sell us a brand-new unit to increase their profitability. The inside unit and the outside units were replaced with brand-new heat pump less than 4 years ago. I also made a verbal arrangement to pay in three installments. I wrote them a check for $350.00 the day they replaced the compressor. They just sent me a bill at the end of July demanding a payment of $700.00 and added a $10.50 late fee. I guess this is because I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Not only is Mr. Keith a bad sport, he is acting in a cowardly manner for not being man enough to talk to me himself, instead he got Jane to call me back and convey the message that they will no longer work on our air conditioning, and ordered me to have someone else to come and repair what they were not competent enough to do. If you need an air conditioning company to work on your air condition, please remember what happened to us and choose anyone else but Keith Air Conditioning in Mobile, Alabama.

Personnel arrived five minutes early, performed maintenance work and checks, including adding freon. Technician was very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They have always been real good. The guy who came out the last time was over and above. He was very good. He talked to me about my thermostat and he told me it was the wrong thermostat. He told me the thermostat was not using the heat pump like the way it is supposed to and he replaced it. He explained everything to me. The person who installed it before didn't hook up the heating coil properly and it was cold. He was my favorite.

They crew arrived on time. They were very quiet. The Keith brothers should up before the job began and also later that day to check on things and to see how everthing was going. There were no problems, very professional. I wish all other companies would take notes on how to do business from Keith A/C.

They installed the original equipment in the house in 1988 and we have used them since 1991. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They have done the seasonal maintenance on our a/c and heating units for the past 4 years. They check the equipment in the fall and the spring just prior to switching from a/c to heat or vice-versa. The technician is very thorough and isn't just in-and-out. It's worth the price (the cost I quoted is for a year of service) to be sure that the equipment is running efficiently.

They are real good. They are very honest and they do a good job with the work. The people are all top notch. They are very knowledgeable and they do the job right. None of the air conditioning companies are cheap, so I cannot say that I use them for an economical reason. They are in line with all of the other companies for their price. I give them all A’s for their service.

One of their service people came and attempted to diagnose the problem with no success. He said sometimes when the compressor is about to fail it will display these symptoms and to call back when the compressor would not restart upon resetting the breaker. I later found out it was not the compressor at all when I saw sparks under the house when the compressor kicked on. Turned out to be a short in the wiring that supplied the compressor. Could have burned the house down!
