I recently had a boiler installed my experience was far from satisfactory. From the very beginning, the job was handled unprofessionally, with multiple mistakes requiring me to call & request corrections & clean-up. Despite three phone calls with no response, I had to visit their business in person to get any action taken. While the mistakes were eventually rectified & the clean-up completed, the installation failed the initial Municipality Inspection. This necessitated a 3rd visit from their team to address the Municipality's concerns, resulting in additional time spent on further corrections & rescheduling the final inspection. Although the installation ultimately passed, the process was far from smooth. Upon returning from vacation, it was discovered that a zone valve was malfunctioning & the future piping for an indirect-fired water heater was missing on the return side. This oversight would have cost me several hundred dollars to fix later. During the 4th visit to replace the relay causing the zone valve issue, Discount Mechanical offered me a new motor for my garage heater. However, the problem turned out to be merely a loose screw, not a faulty motor. The proposed solution to my request for a partial refund on the $12,553.91 job was offering a motor I didn't need & then extending a warranty from a company I didn't trust. Additionally, the $159.95 inspection fee for my old boiler wasn't credited towards the new one. Discount Mechanical claimed they were "unable to offer a refund," but I believe they were simply "unwilling." I was extremely dissatisfied with their poor customer service, substandard work quality, & my declining confidence in their ability to do the job correctly. I prefer Mountain Mechanical, who identified the non-functioning zone valve, missing piping on the return line, & fixed the garage heater issue with a simple screw adjustment at no charge. They are a company with integrity that I trust to complete the job properly the first time. As someone knowledgeable about boilers, I hoped my status as a single female wouldn't affect the quality & integrity of the work. Unfortunately, I had to scrutinize the job closely, as it wasn't done correctly even after multiple attempts. From the lack of customer service, poor-quality work, misleading repair suggestions, & unwillingness to provide a partial refund for the issues encountered, I can only hope no one else experiences what I have been through using Discount Mechanical for home boiler replacement.

I went with Discount Mechanical Heating and Plumbing Services again. The guys did a great job repairing my gas line despite the few hiccups we had with city inspectors which was not their fault. It is a very great company and very great employees and service to attention. I highly recommend them.

Reggie was very professional and explained elements of this system that were new to me. Of greatest importance, Reggie discovered that a gas line compression fitting to our garage heater was loose and leaking. He tightened it and recommended replacement, which we have done.

Scott called before arriving at the appointed time.  All units were located next to each other in the garage, but required ladder access.  He cleaned and inspected all three units, serviced the flame sensor in the home heater.  He also tested the thermostats/controls on the air heaters. The air filters were clean enough to leave in place, but Scott replaced them with higher efficiency filters that I'd bought for the purpose.  He also tested the expansion tank on the water heater and made some suggestions.  Then he placed service records on all three units.

An excellent job at a reasonable price for parts and labor. What really impressed me was that the office gave me a 2-hour window in which they would show; and they did! And they even give you 20 to 30 minutes notice before arriving. I've never had this happen before. It was about as customer friendly as you can get.

Well the coupon was for heating maintenance.  The problems were much more.  Boiler had bad expansion tank, leaking at threaded pump connections.  Found 007 cartridge making noise. Replaced with correct 005 cartridge and replaced Pressure Relief Valve.  <br /> All these years of living with this loud noise coming from the boiler and it turned out the company we had work on it prior to them had put the wrong part on it. <br /> Thank you for fixing this it is so quite now. <br />
