US HVAC Contractors Pros

TL;DR: Javier and his team are unprofessional and unethical. They lack punctuality. The quality of work is not worth the price paid. Javier avoids returning to check an disfuncional unit. We had Javier and his team install four mini splits at the end of June. What was supposed to be a five day installation became a painful two weeks. On the first day of installation, Javier arrived two hours late and had to leave to pick up his coworker due to car trouble. He returned about 3-4 hours later in the late afternoon, and did not do any installation work. First day of installation was wasted. For the next two weeks, Javier and his team continued to arrive late for installation. Javier and his team installed a vent in our living room ceiling, but made a bad cut and exposed a load-bearing beam. Due to this honest mistake, they had to do some patch work with drywall, but didn't do a very good job of it. He said he was going to repaint it and offered to go to Home Depot to color match the paint, but went back on his word on the last day of installation. Two days before the final day of installation, Javier harassed us to sign he completed his work. He wanted the funds transferred before the weekend. We obviously did not sign because the install was not completed. On the final day, Javier was extremely rude because we did not sign the contract of completion. In fact, he greeted me with saying he needs us to sign the contract by the end of the day. He worked from 10am to around 11pm-12am at night. He let me know that the job was done and I could sign the contract. Which became a debate on whether the job was complete or not, and it simply wasn't. He was going to leave our ceiling with poor patch work and refused to repaint it. He claimed it was because he is not a drywaller. He was not going to leave unless we signed it. He made it clear he did not want to return to our home. We eventually signed it when he returned the following morning to repaint the drywall and complete the finishing touches on the mini splits. Last but not least, one of the units does not cool. We have called Javier, but he is too busy to return and look at it. His 10 year warranty and two years of maintenance was the main reason we hired this business. He stated the work he's doing for pregnant women and senior citizens supercedes other clients. I can't disagree with that, but he could at least schedule an appointment with us in the near future. Javier has extremely poor customer service and ethics. It was unethical of him to ask us to sign a contract when the job was not done. It is poor business practice and unprofessional. Javier was late every day of installation except for the final day. The quality of the final product is low especially for the price paid. We are still waiting for him to look at the unit that doesn't function properly.

Javier and his team are honest, responsive, no nonsense, and give more than expected service. I got 5 quotes for replacement of my rooftop AC / Furnace. U. S. HVAC/R Pros was the lowest cost, and as it turned out provided superior service. My wife does not like me or anyone else going into the attic because it makes a mess. Javier’s team solved this problem by installing rooftop access through a skylight at a very reasonable installation cost. They also repaired a rusty gas line for very low additional cost. In addition, they replaced the AC frame at no charge because the new Goodman did not fit the odd shape of the old Lennox. They already gave a quote for replacement and they honored the quote even though they had to do a new installation of the new Goodman unit. My new Goodman looks and runs like a beast, heating and cooling the entire home very efficiently. From my research prior to this project, Goodman has excellent customer service, and a reputation for reliability. Thank you Javier and Chris for giving more than expected at the best price I could find.
