This rating isn't entirely fair. They do really good work, but it's like pulling teeth getting them to respond and follow thru.

I've used Jon at Ridgeway Heating & Cooling multiple times now and he's unquestionably become my go to. Every time I've needed his help, he answers or responds immediately, and has been able to squeeze me in his schedule the same day. Between the response time and his reliability, Ridgeway Heating & Cooling have saved me multiple times, and fixed whatever needed to be fixed within 24 hours of the tenant notifying me of the problem. Pricing is great, he always cleans up, and is very professional in every way, Overall, Jon is a super nice guy, and I couldn't ask for better service. Very highly recommended.. Thank you!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Friendly and efficient: Doug and Jon are seriously a dynamic duo. I’m the president of my condo association in Chicago and had to research a few companies to bring to the rest of the condo association board to vote. We decided to go with Ridgeway Heating and Cooling and SO GLAD WE DID. I live in an older building and in a matter of 1 week both of our industrial size water heaters broke (worse case scenario). We needed a company that could come out quickly and do a great job. They absolutely delivered, were so friendly and reasonably priced! I waited a few weeks to write this to see if we had any issues and nothing. Ridgeway Heating and Cooling you have a customer for life, thank you!!

Installed a complete system July 2021. Install was great until the winter and the humidifier wasn’t hooked up correctly. I made three attempts to have them at the house and was blown off each time. On the fourth attempt they corrected the issue, while they were out there they noticed there was a warranty issue with the furnace. I was told they would order the part and install when they were in my area again. I never received a phone call saying they had the parts. Fast forward October 2022 I contact them for a clean and check of my furnace and to see if they can install the warranty parts that needed to be replaced. Three more attempts were made to have them out and each time they say they will be there, they do not show up or have the courtesy to call and say they are unable to make it. They came through in a pinch when my AC broke down and did a complete install but seem uninterested in the small potatoes to maintain my furnace or air conditioning.

Exceptional quality and service at an affordable price. My parents are both elderly and recently their furnace wasn’t working properly. My Dad’s 81 yr old and on a ton of blood thinners. We needed it fixed same day or my mother and I wouldn’t hear the end of it. We called Ridgeway midday and Jon (owner) agreed to come over on his way home. He had my folks up and running in 20 minutes. Thanks, Jon!

We used Ridgeway to replace a 25-year old A/C unit that failed at the beginning of summer. The unit installed was more efficient, the installers were professional and kept the work area clean. They also had to do some custom metal work, which was done well. They were reasonably priced and very helpful.

Thank you so much to the fine amazing people at Ridgeway heating and cooling for coming out in this awful weather within two hours of calling to troubleshoot my heating. This is an amazing company- much respect. I learned a lot about HEPA filters.

This company arrived ahead of time for a full service and cleaning of ducts. I could have been more pleased with the staff at this company. They took the time to point things out about my unit and also were great to talk to. I am going to fully recommend them to my family and friends. Cheers

Doug and John Ridgeway have taken care of all of the heating and AC for us for multiple properties. They are great -- honest, knowledgeable, fair in price.

Called during a hot day with no air and 2 little kids. Tech cameout faster than he had said or I anticipated under the circumstances. Tech inspected/checked out my ac unit, said that it was dirty and cleaned it on the spot. No bs or bait and switch. Ridgeway is the real deal in 60143.

I was looking for a local light commercial HVAC contractor to service a couple of light commercial RTU and Doug from Ridgeway has been excellent! Ridgeway provided great service including a review of what the real problem.

I've used ridgeway for hvac repair and thermostat repair and I've found them to be pleasant, knowledgable, and fairly priced.

I would highly recommend Lynda at Kelly services she went above and beyond to help me every time I came in weather it was simple or complicated
