This was my first time choosing their team to repair our rooftop commercial HVAC. The technician, with 30 years of experience, identified the issue in under an hour and returned the next day to replace the part. The heating system is now fully fixed. Excellent service — he truly deserves a thumbs-up, and I highly recommend him.

I've never had an experience with a contractor go this well. These folks are honest, very reasonably priced, and have been installing HVAC in Louisville for decades. Don't get a scam run on you by one of the predatory businesses out there. Call Mike Becht or use their online contact form.

Avoid at All Costs: Shady Practices and Poor Communication I had a terrible experience with John Waters Heating and Cooling that left me feeling ripped off and frustrated. I called for after-hours service on my AC unit and was quoted a 2-3 hour wait for a technician. Less than an hour later, I decided to cancel and called back, but since their office had closed, I left a clear voicemail canceling the appointment. I heard absolutely nothing from them—no confirmation of the cancellation, no call from the technician, nada. Then, two months later, I get slapped with a $254 invoice out of the blue. When I called to dispute it, they claimed the technician was already in my driveway when I canceled. If that's true, why didn't he contact me directly? Why not ring the doorbell and explain that I'd be charged regardless? This lack of communication is unacceptable and feels downright deceptive.

Annual maintenance on my Generac whole house system. The tech who came to do the annual maintenance was extremely polite, covering his shoes before coming inside, and did all the things, like changing spark plugs, he was supposed to do.

Over the years John has been to my home many times for a/c maintenance. John is always knowledgeable and respectful of my home. We have never had any breakdown of any kind since installation of the unit six years ago! I’m a big fan of John, give him a raise, a Tesla and a Vespa!

Service check on HVAC system was efficient. Jason was polite and considerate upon entering the house. He explained his purpose and promptly completed his work. We were and are very pleased with John Waters Inc from the installment and operation of our new system. They were the only company that advised the need for another cold air return so that the HVAC system would run efficiently. We would recommend them over any other company.

I had my service panel replaced, an exterior outlet added, and a tankless water heater connected through this company. Although the work was performed satisfactory, I'm taking stars off for the following reasons: 1. Cleanliness - Every where they worked they left remnants. It's like they didn't care to clean up after their work. They even left tools in multiple locations on different days, requiring them to return to collect them. It was obvious they did not inspect their own work spaces. 2. Lack of communication/involvement with customer - I just moved into the house and there were random 2x4's on the wall from previous owners. It would have been nice for the installers to come and say, "If you remove this block, we can mount things flush or make this work for you a little better." Also, no final walk through was performed. I was teleworking and crew said they were done and just up and left. I did have an HVAC quote done by them and the gentleman was very thorough and professional, it just did not fit the bill.

As always, the John Waters technician was on time, professional, and considerate. He did a great job with our semi-annual maintenance on our heat pump. I know from experience that they're also great in emergencies.

I called to set up an appointment to see if they could get a ~20yr old generac up and running that had been off and not maintained for 5+ years. I honestly expected I would be paying a lot more than I was charged. They got it up and running for the standard generator maintenance fee, which was already reasonable considering it included the oil, spark plugs, and filter. I called them John Waters because I found them searching for local companies that service generators. They have earned me as a customer not just for the generator, but I will call them for any HVAC work in the future. Thank you John Waters Inc.

Awesome company with great service techs. Always on time and do very honest work. We’ve had other companies tell us we need a new system. John Waters came out and looked at it and indicated the problem was due to a recalled part. No charge at all-even the labor cost was covered in the recall. John Abell is the tech that usually comes to our house and he is superb! Highly recommend John Waters!

Have had them install a AC unit as well as the complete ductwork. Great job and kept to the committed timeline. Also, had a 200 amp panel upgrade and gave another fair price. The reason I am now writing this review as we had an issue with our AC after 3 years and we got a 10 year parts and labor warranty that I figured they would try and get out of like most companies. Not John Waters. Called first thing in the morning, they were there within 3 hours and had it up and running. No charge to me! Shook my hand and said thank you for being a customer at a John Waters. Would highly recommend.

I have an annual contract with John Waters and have for years. They are the absolute best. Recently, I allowed a competitor to do a "complimentary" assessment of my HVAC system. Coming out of it I was advised that my system needed ~$900 in repairs ...$600 critical and $300 nice to have. I immediately contacted John Waters to advise of competitor recs and provided them the documentation. They revieeed it and assured me there was no urgency for repairs and recommended I wait until my next appointment in 30 Days to review with technicians as that appointment would be free with my annual plan. I decided to hold and have my John Waters team out in 30 days. On that day 30 Days later, I told them I had to.leave for work, itrusted them and to make the repairs they deemed necessary. I even left my credit card with my mother to make sure to cover the costs I knew we're inevitable. Guess what that day cost me...$0. Yes, $0. They saw no need for the recommended repairs at this time. Honest, dependable and competent...John Waters. Thank you.

JW is great. I’ve had them come out for HVAC ventilation and electrical work. All top notch results. My home now has 10 new outlets, updated wiring and 7 new lights because of them. I also have much better air flow in my kitchen. They were able to easily navigate my older home and complete the work flawlessly. Very communicative and professional. Keep them in your back pocket!!!!

Last name is Jackson, if you want to verify I’m not in any way being solicited for this review. I submitted a request online on Sunday. The lady called Monday at 07:43est. Polite and curious. Was told someone would be out between 15:00-17:00est. The lady called back at 17:25est. She said a gentleman would be arriving in around an hour from Louisville to Vine Grove. My husband was home when the gentleman arrived. I was at work. My husband said the gentleman was very professional and polite. Was in and out in about 20min. We were both amazed at the bill. Much cheaper than we anticipated. As of now we will definitely be using their service again. Also, absolutely none of the other “big box name” places I reached out to have not responded; as of Tuesday morning. Please consider using this company. Will update later if having any issues. As of now, I’m loving my AC. Thank you to your team.

They replaced our entire furnace and added air conditioning for our home 9 years ago. We’ve had very few problems with the system, but when something has come up, they were very responsive and affordable. They are always available and work quickly to get us taken care of. Excellent work for a fair price. Dyer and Robbie brought every outlet and light fixture up to code in my 75 year old house, plus added fixtures and extra outlets. They thoroughly answered all my questions and gave me good advice. I called John Waters, Inc again when a tree damaged the electrical on the side of my home and they were out assessing it within thirty minutes. I had my power back on that afternoon.

I evaluated a few companies before I choose John Waters. They came in at a very fair cost, superior product, superior professionalism, superior installation, superior quality, and superior maintenance and service. They have never failed me and the cheaper companies always did. They replaced a 6 year old system the cheaper companies failed me on. Don't spend 2 times the money when you can have peace of mind in quality and service from true professionals.

We had Jason Franzman from John Waters Inc come out today for our yearly furnace service. Also, years ago our gas company and HVAC company had no luck finding a leak from a sporadic Gas odor near the furnace. Jason found the leak in our gas fitting to our gas line. The furnace is in perfect working order and we feel safer because of John Waters Inc employee.
